Development of Evaluation Scheme for Usability of AR/VR Contents (AR/VR 콘텐츠의 사용성 평가 체계 개발)

  • Due to the spread of AR/VR headset, AR/VR contents market gains huge interests. However, various obstacles such as discomfort that restricts usability and absence of standard to evaluate usability block the growth of AR/VR contents industry. To overcome these problems, this study tries to develop an evaluation scheme for the usability of R/VR contents and a prototype system. The proposed evaluation system divides usability related items into safety and convenience items and performs evaluation by item through automatic and experience evaluation by system and experts/experience teams according to characteristics, and comprehensively evaluates the usability of AR/VR content. In this study, a detailed process fo usability evaluation and the prototype system are developed to verify the evaluation scheme. Developed scheme is expected to help the AR/VR content industry overcome the usability issues, and develop high-quality AR/VR content.

Development of Control Method for Improving Energy Efficiency of Unmanned Underwater Gliders (무인 수중글라이더의 에너지 효율 개선을 위한 제어방법 개발)

  • In this paper, unmanned underwater glider was designed for high-depth operation and adopted a bladder-type buoyancy controller for improving battery efficiency, and the motion controller controls the pitch angle by moving the internal mass battery. To improve the energy efficiency of the unmanned underwater glider, a layered PID controller that performs control by section was designed. Simulation program including 6-DOF motion equations and hydrodynamics coefficients of an unmanned underwater glider is constructed using Matlab/Simulink program. Control methods such as PID controller, sliding mode controller and layered PID controller were applied to the simulator to compare the dynamics performance and energy efficiency. As a result, the layered PID controller showed improved control performance compared to other controllers and improved energy efficiency of approximately 7.2% compared to PID controller.

  • For the analysis of S, P and Zn in lubricating oil, microwave digestion method was studied by using inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES). Lubricating oil was completely decomposed with nitric acid or a mixture of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide using and closed microwave digestion system. Digestions are completed within 50 min, a factor of at least 3~4 times faster than for the conventional digestion. A gradual heating program operated by the pulsed mode was found suitable for decomposing the lubricating oil matrix safely. The proposed method of digestion gave relative standard deviations(RSD) less than 3% for the elements determined.

  • It was developing of portable hybrid water purification system for clean water production in the disaster area. because there are no way to supply a drinking water to the victims of calamity. currently, the government has been supplying bottled water to victims. but it is a limit to the reserves. It is composed of a filter, a feed pump, a solar-cell, a controller, and a case and is possible supplying a drinking water not to limit time and a place. Field test was carried out to developed portable water purification system and the purified water was satisfied a criterion for a drinking water.

  • A remote image transmission apparatus combines robot technology and image transmission there is safe problem or place that a person can not go. Recently, control apparatus that use wire and RF between web server and robot for remote control are developed. But there is problem that must install internet line and communication distance. Transmission distance problem call solve when using the equipment of RF, but price of RF router is problem that is very high cost. In this paper, we developed remote control system using the CDMA cellular phone communication network that can control image transmission and image transmission apparatus to solve these problem. Developed system could solve defects of methods that use existent RF and internet. And could transmit the most suitable image and voice under limited condition include current communication network.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to improve submarine TACM launcher system safety device performance. Methods: In this study, EPLD(Electrically Programmable Logic Device) control and time sharing method to the safety device actuator motor and discrete signal processor in launch control panel were used to resolve unusual performance of safety system. Results: The result of this study are as follows; First, sporadic stopping of safety device actuator motor due to insufficient In-Rush current was resolved. Second, repeat of safety device condition as lock & release due to chattering for motor activating was resolved. Third, simultaneous release function for safety device actuator was available. Conclusion: The unusual performance of function for submarine TACM launcher system was overcame by applying EPLD control and time sharing method. The suggestions were proved by performance test in the pressure chamber. The results of this study enhanced survivability of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ class submarine from enemy torpedo.

  • Various combinations of cartridge and orifice were applied for ground ejection tests of a gliding bomb model equipped with a new guidance kit. Larger diameter of orifice made larger ejection force at each of bomb racks. Normal operations of the wing deploying mechanism and the devices inside of the bomb model were confirmed. Also high speed video data showed that pitch angle of the gliding bomb varied due to the ejection force.

  • This paper introduces a new design method of realizing the machine control interface by using bio-signals(EEG/EOG). This method can be further expanded to be applied to the computer system responding to EEG or EOG signals and the general bio-feedback system. For this reason, we made the remotely controlled toy system controlled by the EEG spectrums, their combination indexes, and EOG parameters. And the headset that has bio-signal processing modules built-in offers convenience for users, and this make much more advanced system than any other existing BCI and BMI system.

  • 현재 널리 보급되어 있는 볼베어링은 몇개의 볼에 의해 작동하기에 회전이 불균일하며 진동과 소음이 크다. 이는 고속에서 한계를 갖는 주된 원인이 되고 있다. 또한 그리스의 손실로 인한 수명의 단축이나, 유출된 그리스로 인한 손상은 제품의 내구성에 치명적인 결과를 초래한다. 더욱이 기존에 사용하는 소형 정밀 베어링은 전량 수입에 의존하고 있으며, 기술 선진국의 기술이전 회피로 개발이 어려우며, 수입물량도 확보하기 어려운 상황이다. 이를 극복하기 위한 하나의 방법이 볼과 그리스를 대신해서 유체의 압력을 이용한 유체동압베어링의 개발이다. 유체동압을 이용한 베어링의 장점은 그리스의 누유가 없고, 이로 인한 설계상의 제약이 없으며, 볼베어링으로는 불가능한 고속회전에 적합하고, 안전성이 뛰어나며 회전이 균일하여 제품의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 유체동압 함유소결함유베어링은 진동과 소음이 적고, 저렴하며 구조가 간단하고, 급유기를 필요로 하지 않는 자기윤활(self-lubrication)특성과 생산성 등 많은 장점을 가지고 그 사용범위가 점차 광범위하게 넓어지고 있지만, 저속상태에서의 유막형성, 고속상태에서 기름의 누유, 고하중상태에서 강도와 기공의 눌어붙음과 출발과 정지 시에 발생하는 두 금속간의 직접 접촉을 피할 수 없는 것과 같은 해결해야 하는 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위하여 유체동압 함유소결베어링이 마찰특성을 알아보고자 한다.

  • The purpose of the present study is to evaluate high temperature fracture toughness through the experimental and analytical method. The analysis method is proposed to simulate the fracture toughness of high temperatures. Load-COD curves of compact test specimen acquired by finite element method analysis using hypo elastic model are simulated to determine the crack initiation load on high temperatures. The results of experimental work are in accord with analysis in thermal shock test.
