  • Asecure channel provides protection against interception, while an authentication system is created to protect the client and the server from fabrication attacks. This paper proposes a hybrid authentication algorithm, which fixes the lapses problem encountered in the SSL authentication. Also, the Proposed hybrid authentication system has been created to protect the client and the server from modification and fabrication attacks. By using a modified three-way authentication there is no need for a timeserver. thus timestamps are not needed.

  • As the use of software is increasing in aircraft system, an exposure to the threat of safety and security also continues to grow. Although certification criteria for software safety such as DO-178C have already been established, specific certification criteria for software security have not yet been included. Recently DO-326A, DO-356 and DO-355 have been published separately for aircraft and system airworthiness security certification criteria. However, to comply individual certification criteria and procedures, it requires the additional cost and effort. Therefore, this paper proposes the efficient integrated certification criteria saving cost, effort and time by combining the certification criteria for software safety and security.

  • In the fintech field, financial transactions with smart phones are actively conducted. User authentication technology is essential for safe financial transactions. PIN authentication through the existing security keypads is convenient to input but has weaknesses in security and others. The biometric authentication technique is secure, but there is a possibility of false positive and false negative authentication. To compensate for this, two-factor authentication is used. In this paper, we propose the 1.5-factor authentication that can increase convenience and security through PIN input with biometric authentication. It provides the stability of fingerprint authentication and convenience of two or three PIN inputs, and this makes safe financial transaction possible. Since biometric authentication is performed at the same time when entering PIN, while security is required by applying fingerprint authentication to the area touched while entering PIN. The User authentication is performed while ensuring convenience to input through additional PIN input in situations where high safety is required, and Safe financial transactions are possible.

  • It is necessary to improve the self-management ability of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certified companies and intensive management for companies with insufficient management. In addition, the efficiency and convenience of HACCP operation should be improved by expanding and distributing smart HACCP. In this way, it is the direction that HACCP in Korea should go forward to continuously discover and expand the field of application with the improving and smartening the HACCP system.

A Basic Study on the Performance Improvement of Safety Certification Standards (안전인증기준 성능화에 대한 기반 연구)

  • Purpose:The purpose of the paper is to review the problems of performance enhancement of safety certification standards and to suggest directions for improvement in order to rationalize safety certification standards for future industrial development and environmental changes. Method: The problems and limitations of the safety certification system are summarized through literature review and interview with manager, and the status of safety certification standards is classified into design standards, performance standards, and detailed standards, and the status analysis is performed. In addition, by synthesizing the results of the investigation and analysis, improvements are suggested to improve the performance of the safety certification standards. Result: Through the survey, the problems and limitations of safety certification could be grouped into six categories: government-led certification system operation, standardized certification standards, long time required to improve certification, poor certification standards preparation system, and lack of reflection of industry opinions. And, as a result of analyzing the certification standards by dividing them into performance and design standards, in the case of machinery, equipment, and protection devices, the design standards were high at 69.7% and 64.9%, whereas in the case of protective equipment, the performance standards were high at 61.1%. In order to improve the performance of safety certification standards centered on design standards, it is necessary to determine the possibility of performance enhancement of the certification standards and determine the feasibility of the inspection test method. In order to improve performance, it was reviewed that it was necessary to establish a systemic foundation and infrastructure, such as strengthening the Product Liability Act, systematizing market monitoring, etc., distributing certification test tasks, and participating in the preparation of certification standards by the private sector. Conclusion: Through this study, the problems and limitations of Korea's safety certification system were summarized and the necessity for performance improvement was reviewed. Performance improvement of safety certification standards is a matter that requires preparatory work, such as legislative revision and infrastructure construction, and requires mid-to-long-term promotion. In addition, rather than improving the overall safety certification standards, the performance requirements for each item subject to certification should be reviewed and promoted, and details should be specified through additional research.

  • In the case of electronic payment, the obligation to use the certificate-based authentication was abolished. As Fin-tech service providers gain autonomy, various authentication methods are provided. SMS, ARS, PIN, Text-passwords, Fingerprints are popular authentication methods in the mobile Fin-tech services. In this study evaluate the usability and security of authentication methods in a unified mobile environment. We evaluate the usability through SUS and interview. Also we evaluate the security level of authentication methods through NIST guideline. At the result of the usability evaluation, Fingerprint authentication method had been determined as the highest usability, also Fingerprint authentication method had been determined as the safest authentication method by obtaining Security Level 4.

  • 최근들어 경쟁력 확보의 한 방안으로 철저한 안전관리를 통한 기업손실 및 생산성 방지 방안이 주목받고 있다. 또한 주계약자공동도급 등 협력사 선정을 비롯해 건설공사 PQ 가산점과 관련된 재해예방활동 평가의 지표로 활용하기 위해 안전보건경영시스템 인증 취득이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. '안전보건경영시스템'은 재해예방과 기업손실 감소를 체계적으로 추진하기 위한 자율안전보건체계로서, 이 인증 취득을 통해 기업은 기업경영의 우수성을 객관적으로 평가받을 수 있으며 산업재해율을 현저히 낮출 수 있다. 우리나라의 경우 국내에서 통용되는 KOSHA18001과 국외에서 통용되는 OHSAS18001을 취득해 건설현장의 잠재적인 위험요소 및 안전사고 예방에 힘쓰고 있다. 지난호에 KOSHA18001의 전반적인 사항을 게재하였으나 OHSAS 인증을 취득한 회원사의 요청으로 이번호에는 안전보건경영시스템의 대표적인 두 인증에 대해 상호 비교해본다.

자율운항선박 사이버안전체계 구축방안

  • 자율운항선박을 IMO 자율화등급 3단계 이상으로 운용하기 위해서는 내·외부 통신시스템의 사이버보안뿐만 아니라 실시간으로 데이터를 교환하는 데이터 및 시스템 사이버안전에 대한 고려가 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 자율운항선박 사이버안전체계 구축방안에 대해서 살펴본다. 자율운항선박 사이버안전체계 구축을 위해서는 선박 내 사이버위협을 실시간으로 탐지하고 영향을 모니터링하는 통합 보안 시스템 구축이 필요하며, 선박 사이버안전 설계 타당성을 검증하는 사이버리스크평가 기술, 사이버안전체계를 검증하기 위한 CVE(Common Vulnerabilities Enumeration)기반 취약성 진단 및 침투테스트 기술, V-Model을 활용한 통합 소프트웨어 품질인증 기술, ISO 25024 기반 데이터 무결성 검증 기술 적용이 필요하다.
