  • 원자력 발전소의 설계 수명이 늘어나고 기존의 가동 원전 또한 장기 운전을 목표로함에 따라, 원자로 압력용기, 가압기, 증기발생기, 배관 등의 주요 구조재료의 장기 열화에 따른 재료 건전성을 유지하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 특히, 응력부식균열 현상은 장기 열화에 의해 일어날수 있는 구조재료에서의 심각한 취화 문제들중의 하나로써, 이 현상을 예방하거나 지연시키기 위해서는 현상의 근본원인과 작동기구를 규명하는 것은 원전의 안전성 유지를 위해 매우 중요하다. 이를 위해서 구조재료 표면의 원전 운전 조건에서의 산화막 특성과 그 형성 거동을 분석하는 것은 매우 중요하게 되는데, 원전 운전 조건은 고온고압의 수화학 환경으로 일반 환경에서 사용가능한 다양한 분석 방법들을 적용하기에 많은 제약을 받게 된다. 그러나, 라만 분광법은 가동 원전의 운전 조건인 고온/고압수 환경 하에서도 실시간으로 산화막 분석이 가능한 기법으로, 본 논문에서는 지금까지의 라만 분광법을 이용하여 고온고압수 환경에서의 주요 구조용 금속 및 합금 표면에 생성된 산화막에 대한 분석 연구 결과에 대하여 소개하고, 앞으로 이를 이용한 구조재료의 열화 현상을 분석 및 열화기구 규명을 위한 연구개발 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The shipbuilding industry uses large stationary tanks to store low-pressure air, which is used to open and close large shut-off valves. However, when supplying air from the tank to a distant valve, there are problems related to the need for supplementary pipes and the pressure drop during transportation. In this study, a portable welded vessel for storing high-pressure nitrogen (11 kg, 10 L, and 50 bar) was designed to prevent air leakage and improve the convenience of workers. This pressure vessel was elliptical to reduce the number of welded parts, which are structurally weak. The thickness and ratio of the major and minor axes of the pressure vessel were calculated to verify its structure stability at the working pressure (50 bar), and that the proposed weight and capacity were satisfactory. The residual stress caused by the welding process was calculated by performing a transient thermal-structural coupled field analysis using the ANSYS parametric design language (APDL), and the fatigue life of the vessel was verified based on the Goodman criterion.

Comparative Study of Design Methods for Sliding of Perforated-wall Caisson Breakwater (유공케이슨 방파제의 활동에 대한 설계법 비교 연구)

  • The conventional performance-based design method for the solid-wall caisson breakwater has been extended and applied to the perforated-wall caisson. The mathematical model to calculate the sliding distance of a perforated-wall caisson is verified against hydraulic experimental data. The developed performance-based design method is then compared with the conventional deterministic method in different water depths. Both the expected sliding distance and the exceedance percentage of total sliding distance during the structure lifetime decrease with decreasing water depth outside the surf zone, but they increase with decreasing water depth inside the surf zone. The performance-based design method is either more economical or less economical than the deterministic method depending on which design criterion is used. If the criterion for the ultimate limit state is used, the former method is less economical than the latter outside the surf zone, whereas the two methods are equally economical inside the surf zone. However, if the breakwater is designed to satisfy the criterion for the repairable limit state, the former method is more economical than the latter in all water depths.

Prolonging Lifetime of the LEACH Based Wireless Sensor Network Using Energy Efficient Data Collection (에너지 효율적인 데이터 수집을 이용한 LEACH 기반 무전 센서 네트워크의 수명 연장)

  • In wireless sensor networks with ad hoc networking capability, sensor nodes are battery operated and are usually disposable once deployed. As a result, each sensor node senses and communicates with limited energy and, thus, energy efficiency has been studied as a key design factor which determines lifetime of a wireless sensor network, and it is more improved recently by using so-called cross-layer optimization technique. In this paper, we propose and implement a new energy saving mechanism that reduces energy consumption during data collection by controlling transmission power at sensor nodes and then measure its performance in terms of lifetime improvement for the wireless sensor network platform ZigbeX. When every sensor node transmits sensed data to its clusterhead, it controls its transmission power down to as low level as communication is possible, resulting in energy saving. Each sensor node controls its transmission power based on RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) of the packet received from its clusterhead. In other words, the sensor node can save energy by controlling its transmission power down to an appropriate level that its clusterhead safely receives the packet it transmits. According to the repetitive experiment of the proposed scheme on the ZigbeX platform using the packet analyzer developed by us, it is observed that the network lifetime is prolonged by up to 21.9% by saying energy during the data collection occupying most amount of network traffic.

  • Before urban railway vehicles reach their design life-span, operating agencies should determine when to buy new vehicles. Previous LCC (Life Cycle Cost) studies were limited because they independently focused on existing vehicles based on costs that directly impacted only the operating agency without considering effects such as social costs and the reduction of maintenance costs. Thus, it is difficult to systematically determine when to buy new vehicles. This study investigated the operating and maintenance related costs, especially from additional expenses and social costs due to unexpected vehicle failures and safety accidents, and did an economic analysis of scenarios with different discount rates. Considering that the public is very concerned about safety after the Sewol ferry accident, additional costs, which include social costs, should be included in the analysis. This study shows that the economic priority of scenarios may change depending on whether those costs are included and on the discount rate. The results of this study can help in the decision-making process for the planning and buying of new trains.

An Implementation of the RGB Remote Controller for LED Emotion Lighting of AtoN Facilities (항로표지 시설의 LED 감성조명을 위한 RGB 원격 콘트롤러의 구현)

  • This study on the methode is easied to distinguish with emotional visual lighting on AtoN facility using 3colors LED, and which is controlled to on-off switching of approach light in shore or harbor. The identification have easied to provide a differentiation between the AtoN facility of red and white light and surrounding light in harbor both sides. And the integrated controller have designed to left-right and serial sequential lighting system for harbor guidance using the GPS synchronous or timer. There is expectation effect that is prevent a confusion about distinguish of facility by ship's operator and to beautify a night scene of harbor, which is expressed to emotional identification lighting and variable color lighting on AtoN body by vertical layer color lighting using LED. In addition, the performance of AtoN is implemented to display with guidance light the harbor safety message by morse code lighting. Effectiveness of system is enhanced that age and power consumption reduce by candle alternated high light LED.

원자력分野 에서의 破壞力學 現況 -법적 요구사항을 중심으로 (II)-

  • 원자력발전소의 원자로냉각재 압력경계의 건전성과 안정성을 확보하기 위하여 법적 요구조건을 설정함에 있어 파괴역학이 어떻게 적용되었는 가를 설명하였다. 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 압력경계에 사용되는 재료의 $RT_{NDT}$를 정의하였다. 이는 무연성천이온도와 같은 개 념의 것으로, 앞으로 재료의 파괴인성은 이 $RT_{NDT}$에 대한 상대온도의 함수로 주어진다. 2)비연성파괴를 방지하기 위한 설계조건으로서 선형탄성 파괴역학에 근거한 조건식을 인용하였다. 여기서 조건식이란 능력확대계수의 합계가 어떠한 조건에서도 이러한 조건식을 만족한다는 것을 해석적으로 확인하고 규제당국의 승인을 받아야 한다. 3) 가동중검사에 발견된 결함으로 합격수준을 초과하는 것은 파괴역학적으로 해석하여 구조적 으로 안전하다는 것은 파괴역학적으로 해석하여 구조적으로 안전하다는 것을 입증하여야 한다. 이때 결함은 원자로의 가동과 더불어 성장하므로 수명기간중 피로파괴에 이를 것인지의 여부도 평가하여야 한다. 이때의 대조균열성장률은 Paris의 power law에 따른다. 4) 고속중성자 (E>1. 0MeV)에 의한 조사취화를 감시하기 위하여 감시시험계획을 사전에 수립 하고 이에 따라 감시시험을 수행하여 조사에 수립하고 이에 따라 감시시험을 수행하여 조사에 의한 원자로용기 재료의 파괴인성의 저하를 평가하여 이를 고려한 충분한 안전여유를 갖는 운 전조건 즉, 압력-온도 한계곡선을 산출하여야 한다. 이때의 취화 정도는 DELTA. $RT_{NDT}$ 와 Upper Shelf Energy의 감소로 나타낸다. 또한, 압력-온도 한계곡선은 선형관성 파괴역학에 입각한 조건식을 이용하여 해당 온도에서의 압력을 산출한다. System을 개발 사용하기 위하여 기존 전자계산소를 이용하는 방법이 바람직하며 System의 도입은 자체운영을 결정하기 전에 경제적인 여건 등 여러가지 문제를 검토하여야 한다. 특히 Turn Key Base로 System를 도입할 경우에는 System의 도입목 적과 사용빈도, 앞으로의 확장성 현재 설계및 생산 과정과의 마찰가능성, 유지보수문제 등을 신 중히 검토하여야 한다. 이제 기계공업도 전자계산기를 이해하고 사용하므로 서 발전할 수 있는 단계가 되었다. 예로부터 좋은 공구를 개발하여 적절히 사용하는 것이 기계공업 발전의 첩경이 었다. 전자계산기는 현대 기술이 개발한 가장 강력하고 사용하기 좋은 공구이다.점에서 피로구열의 안정성장을 논하고, 과거 10여년간의 피로 crack문제에 대한 연구방법, 실험방법 등을 소개하는 방향으로 고 를 진행시켜 나가겠다.에 그 효과가 증대됨을 알 수 있었다.적용한 임상실험이 수행되어야 할 것이다. 또한 위치결정에서 획득한 좌표값의 정확성을 알아보기 위해서 팬톰을 이용한 방사선조사 실험이 추후에 실행되어져야 할 것이다. 그리고 제작된 프레임에 Rotating X선 시스템과 내부 장기의 움직임을 계량화하고 PTV에서의 최적 여유폭을 설정함으로써 정위 방사선수술 및 3 차원 업체 방사선치료에 대한 병소 위치측정과 환자의 자세에 대한 setup 오차측정 결정에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이라고 사료된다. 상대적으로 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 혼합충전재는 암모니아의 경우 코코넛과 펄라이트의 비율이 7:3인 혼합 재료 3번과 소나무수피와 펄라이트의 비율이 7:3인 혼합 재료 6번에서 다른 혼합 재료에 비하여 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 4. 코코넛과 소나무수피의 경우 암모니아 가스에 대한 흡착 능력은 거의 비슷한 것으로 사료되며,

  • Shortly after tunnel boring machine (TBM) was introduced in the tunneling industry, the use of TBM has surprisingly increased worldwide due to its performance together with the benefit of being safely and environmentally friendly. One of the main cost items in the TBM tunneling in rock and soil is changing damaged or worn cutters. It is because that the cutter change is a time-consuming and costly activity that can significantly reduce the TBM utilization and advance rate and has a major effect on the total time and cost of TBM tunneling projects. Therefore, the importance of accurately evaluating the cutter life can never be overemphasized. However, the prediction of cutter wear in soil, rock including mixed face is very complex and not yet fully clarified, subsequently keeping engineers busy around the world. Various prediction models for cutter wear have been developed and introduced, but these models almost usually produce highly variable results due to inherent uncertainties in the models. In this study, a case study of design and construction of disc cutter change is introduced and analyzed, rather than proposing a prediction model of cutter wear. As the disc cutter is strongly affected by the geological condition, TBM machine characteristic and operation, authors believe it is very hard to suggest a generalized prediction model given the uncertainties and limitations therefore it would be more practical to analyze a real case and provide a detailed discussion of the difference between prediction and result for the cutter change. By doing so, up-to-date idea about planning and execution of cutter change in practice can be promoted.

A Study of Control for 3 Phase BLDC Motor using Control Methodology of DC Motor (직류전동기 제어기법을 적용한 3상 BLDC 모터 제어에 관한 연구)

  • This paper discusses the control method of BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) motor that has similar electrical characteristics with DC motor but has improved its lifespan and reliability. The BLDC motor can improve durability and speed stability by using rotor position information to eliminate commutators that require mechanical contact with DC motors. In this study, a controller for a DC motor was designed based on the fact that the current in the windings of a BLDC motor is a square-wave current like the current flowing in the armature of a DC motor. Next, the designed controller was applied to a 3-phase BLDC motor to confirm the effectiveness of the controller. In detail, a single-phase DC motor with electrical parameter values of a three-phase BLDC motor was modeled and a PI controller for motor speed control was designed by applying the root locus method to the derived system. The speed control simulation of the DC motor was performed to confirm the validity of the controller, and the same controller was applied to the speed control of the 3-phase BLDC motor implemented in MATLAB. From the simulation, similar results of the DC motor were obtained in the 3 phase BLDC motor and confirmed the usefulness of the proposed control scheme.

A Study on Wedge Angles of Wedge-type Rail Clamp for Preventing Jaw from Rotating (쐐기형 레일 클램프에서 조(jaw)의 회전을 방지하기 위한 적정 쐐기각에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we designed a wedge type rail-clamp which can protect container crane from sudden wind blast with constant clamping force regardless of the operating period. When we design wedge type rail clamp, it is important to determine an angle of wedge which prevent rotating of jaw and for smooth operation when wind blows. Therefore, this paper suggest a process to decide an angle of wedge within proper range obtained by experimental analysis as well as FEA of the wedge type rail clamp. A model with $6^{\circ}$ wedge angle is the most proper model to use in rail clamp bemuse it generated satisfactory clamping force and rotating angle underdesign specification.
