Analysis on the Structural Safety of the Tower Crane under Load (하중을 받는 타워크레인의 구조 안전성 해석)

  • In this study, the deformation analysis is done at tower crane by applying the load at the end of jib and the moment at mast. The greatest stain and stress are happened at the end of wire supporting jib. The great deformation takes place at the end of jib applied by stress and there is no deformation at the lower part of mast. As the life becomes smallest at the upper part of mast, this part becomes weakest. The safety design and durability can be improved by applying the result of structural safety analysis at tower crane.

  • The membrane type LNG tank is non self-supporting tank which consists of both primary and secondary membrane supported through the insulation boxes by the adjacent hull struc¬ture. Although the membranes are not structural member. They are subject to periodical cyclic loads due to the thermal expansion and other expansions or contraction of membrane. At the design stage of the tank, an analytical and experimental approach on the fatigue strengths of membrane and its welds is necessary in order to assist the designer and the inpector. In this study the evaluation method of fatigue strength of membrane type LNG tank is pre¬sented with FEM analysis and fatigue test of lap welds and it contains the following:1) The fatigue tests and preparation of design S - N curve for lap welds 2) FEM analysis of test specimens 3) Estimation of cumulative damage factor of lap welds 4) Guideline for inspection of lap welds of membrane type LNG tank As the results of analytical and experimental approaches in this study, the evaluation method of fatigue strengths of membrane type LNG tank is proposed, which is expected to be useful for design and inspection of membrane type LNG tank.

  • The external loads applied to a real structure may cause a severe damage and may eventually lead to total failure. It is thus the requirement that the structure must be designed to fulfil its safe function under any anticipated loads and must have the desired level of safety. The purpose of the present study is to propose a method of damage accumulation under seismic loadings to utilize it in the safety assessment of a reinforced concrete structure. To this end, the nonlinear hysteretic behavior of reinforced concrete structures is first modeled and the equivalent linearization technique is employed to solve numerically the probabilistic characteristics of response under random seismic loadings.

  • 현대 사회는 유비쿼터스와 함께 Intelligent Bridge와 녹색 뉴딜개념의 Energy Birdge 같은 신개념의 교량연구에 주력하고 있다. 따라서 교량 안전관리는 무선 센서노드로 데이터를 송신하고 있으나 센서 전력에 수명제한 베터리와 기후제한 태양열로 공급 문제가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 외력에 의해 bending vibration이 일어나면서 판 양면에 양 음의 전하가 띄어 전압, 전류가 발생하는 압전소자를 이용 하였다. 이 압전소자에 발생하는 정현파로 인한 축전 문제와 발전된 전력이 다른 압전소자에게 흘러 전력생산량의 감소 문제는 Bridge Diode를 사용한 R-C회로도를 구성하여 보완하였다. 이 설계를 통하여 차량 하중(외력)의 크기에 변수를 두어 전압발생 차이를 측정하고 일정시간 외력 통해 Capacitor 축전된 양을 검토하였다.

  • 기본적으로 많은 인자들에 의해 영향을 받는 배터리 시스템은 일반적으로 사용 용도에 따라 단위 배터리 셀을 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결하여 하나의 배터리 모듈을 형성하고 있다. 다수개의 단위 배터리 셀을 연결하여 하나의 배터리 모듈로 사용하는 경우, 개별 셀의 활물질 및 전해액의 미소 변동, 충방전 사이클 차이, 온도의 영향에 따라 배터리 특성이 다르게 나타난다. 이러한 특성으로 인해 충전 및 방전이 진행됨에 따라 셀간의 전압 불균형 현상이 발생하고 이로 인해 배터리 수명은 급격하게 감소하여 배터리 교체와 같은 경제적 손실을 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 배터리의 성능과 안전성을 확보하기 위해 배터리 밸런싱에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 기존의 수동적 밸런싱의 단점을 보완한 능동적 밸런싱을 사용하였고 제안한 회로의 기능 및 성능의 검증을 위해 배터리 관리 장치 보드를 설계 및 제작하여 시험한 결과 개선된 기능이 원활히 수행됨을 확인하였다.

  • 식물성 절연유는 기존 광유계 절연유에 비해 친환경성과 안전성이 부각되어 전력용 변압기에 사용을 검토하고 있다. 우수한 생분해성 및 높은 인화점, 발화점을 갖는 반면, 점도가 높아 냉각 효과가 줄어드는 단점이 있다. 변압기 절연유의 역할이 절연과 냉각이므로 광유에 비해 약 3배 정도 높은 점도를 갖는 식물유를 사용할 경우 변압기 권선 내부 온도 상승을 검토하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 배전급에 사용되는 변압기에 광유 대체로 식물유를 사용하였을 때 권선 및 유온도 상승을 측정하였다. 변압기 권선 구조 설계에 있어서 정확한 권선온도 상승 값을 활용하여야 적정 수명 유지가 가능해 진다.

  • 본 논문은 열차제어시스템의 고장률을 정량적으로 예측하고 입증하기 위한 방안을 제시한다. 고장률의 정량적 예측은 시스템 개발단계에서 하부시스템별 고장발생확률을 예측하여 목표 고장률과 비교하고, 고장률이 높은 하부시스템의 설계를 보완하기 위함이다. 시제품이 완성된 후에는 예측된 고장률의 입증을 위해 시운전을 통한 고장데이터를 분석하거나 신뢰성시험을 통해 고장률의 예측치를 입증한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 열차제어시스템 고장률예측과 입증은 철도신호시스템 신뢰성, 가용성, 유지보수성, 안전성관련 규격인 IEC62278의 시스템 수명주기별 신뢰성활동을 근거로 하며, 전자부품으로 구성된 시스템고장률예측은 미국방부 전자부품 고장률예측 지침인 MIL-HDBK-217을 기준으로 사용하였다.

  • Safe operation and maintenance of engineered dry storage systems for spent fuel from nuclear power plants basically depends on adequately adopted design requirements. The most important design target of the system are those which provide the necessary assurances that spent fuel can be received, handled, stored and retrieved without undue risk to health and safety of workers and the public. To achieve these objectives, the design of the system incorporates features to remove spent fuel residual heat, to provide for radiation protection, and to maintain containment over the lifespan of the system as specified in the design specifications. The features also provide for all possible anticipated operational occurrences and design basis events in accordance with the design basis as guided by the designated regulations. The general performance requirements of a projected storage system are introduced in this paper. The storage system is designed to store fuel assemblies in associated with designated regulatory requirements. Small increases/decreases in maximum burnup can be adjusted with cooling time. These variations are compensated for by a corresponding small site-specific increase/decrease in the design basis-cooling period, as long as the maximum heat load and radioactivity of loaded fuel assemblies are met. Generic design basis events considered for the storage system are summarized. Shielding and radiological requirements along with mechanical and structural are derived in this study.

Analysis of Design Live Load of Railway Bridge Through Statistical Analysis of WIM Data for High-speed Rail (고속철도 WIM 데이터에 대한 통계분석을 통한 철도교량 설계활하중 분석)

  • In this paper, the live load model for the design of high-speed railway bridge is analyzed by statistic and probabilistic methods and the safety level that is given by the load factors of the load combination is analyzed. This study is a part of the development of the limit state design method for the railway bridge, and the train data collected from the Gyeongbu high-speed railway for about one month are utilized. The four different statistical methods are applied to estimate the design load to match the bridge design life and the results are compared. In order to examine the safety level that the design load combination of the railway bridge gives, the reliability indexes are determined and the results are analyzed. The load effect from the current design live load for the high-speed rail bridge which is 0.75 times of the standard train load is came out greater than at least 30-22% that from the estimated load from the measured data. If it is judged based on the ultimate limit state, there is a possibility of additional reduction of the safety factors through the reliability analysis.

  • The Ministry of Construction and Transportation has estimated the reconsideration of economy in construction and the dullness of LCC forcast method which supports decision-marking in safety and maintenance of buildings. So, they have introduced LCC analysis method in steps of a feasibility study and design. Because of the introduction of LCC analysis process and method, it would be possible to make a logical decision from management maintenance, estimation, user point of view. In this study, it would bepossible to show a plan and alternative of design factors and structure in one building by using LCC analysis method and to compare and analyze the reduction of life circle cost bi the elapsed time.
