Guidance system about closure using push notification of smart device (스마트 기기의 푸시 알림을 이용한 휴무 안내 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose an guidance system about closure using push notification of smart device. Restaurant operators can use the proposed application to schedule and modify the restaurant closures for a week from push notification and users can check the restaurant information and whether it is closed or not through the proposed application. The proposed method uses a server system to provide closed information, and the proposed application performs push notifications to the restaurant operator every morning to confirm the day's closed again. To verify the utility of the proposed system, we built a closure management application, user application, and server system to conduct experiments for restaurant closures guidance, resulting in 96% about checking opening hours. And we confirmed that the proposed method is better than the existing information service in comparison experiments. Thus, the proposed method will be a useful service system that could easily share closure information with restaurant operators and users.

An Experimental Study for Efficient Design Parameters of a Wind Power Tower (풍력타워의 효율적인 설계변수에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Wind power tower (WPT) has been used to augment the performance of vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). However, the performance of the WPT depends on several design parameters, such as inner and outer radius, or number of guide walls. Therefore, an experimental study was conducted to investigate efficient design parameters on the WPT. A wind tunnel was utilized and its test section dimension was 2m height and 2.2m width. One story model of the WPT was manufactured with seven guide walls and a VAWT was installed within the WPT. Three different sizes of guide walls were applied to test with various design parameters. The power coefficients were measured along the azimuthal direction in a state of equal inlet velocity in order to compare its performance relatively. The experimental results showed that the gap between the inner radius of the WPT and the rotating radius of the VAWT was a major parameter to improve the performance of VAWT within the WPT.

  • A compass device which indicates the right direction using the recorded voice was developed to assist the people who are blind when they are walking and moving to somewhere. The developed voice compass consists of a sensing module which recognizes the terrestrial magnetism with magnetic sensor, voice recorder IC, speaker and microprocessor which controlled all the components. It has 32 directions resolution and can continuously indicates the progressing direction with established time interval for the user convenience. It can help walking of the blind people and designed to be used in various sports and leisure. The performance of the developed device was verified by experiment with person who are blind.

Development and Effects of R & E Program for Improving the Science Process Skills of Middle Gifted Science Students (중등과학영재 학생의 탐구 사고력 향상을 위한 R & E 프로그램의 개발과 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the guided R & E program to improve science process skills of the science gifted students. First of all, we developed a guided R & E instructional models that enables students to conduct R & E through the third process from teacher-centered to student-centered, and developed guided R & E programs in accordance with the five-step process. As a result, it showed high average scores in the order of 'Hypothesis setting > Variable extraction > Derivation of inquiry problem > Conclusion derivation > Experimental design > Generalization > Evaluation > Data analysis > Data conversion'. In detail, among the nine evaluation factors, 'Derivation of inquiry problem, Variable extraction, Hypothesis setting, and Conclusion derivation' are at a high level, 'Experimental design' is at an average level, 'Data interpretation, Generalization, and Evaluation' were low level and 'Data conversion' was very low level. We hope that the guided R & E program reflected the elements of inquiry process will help students to improve their thinking ability and creative problem solving ability.

  • As augmented reality technology has developed, various augmented reality contents can be seen in real life, and the performance of mobile device is improved, so augmented reality technology can be used even without special device. As a result, a training system, guidance system and a museum art guide system based on augmented reality technology are emerging, and interest in augmented reality is also increasing. However, the existing guidance systems using a single mobile device have limitations in terms of the user experience (UX) because the camera of the device limits the field of view or the two hands are not free and the user input is difficult. In this paper, we compare augmented reality based guidance systems for Rubik's Cube using tablet and HMD to improve the constraint of user experience of such a single mobile device, and find elements that positively improve user experience. After that, we evaluate whether the user experience is actually improved through the user experience comparison test and the questionnaire.

  • 본 연구는 시각장애인들을 위한 대인관게 도움을 위하여, 상대방의 성별과 나이를 안내하여 주는 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 다시점 얼굴 인식 방법을 채택하여, 인식장애 개선과 환경요인변화에 대처하여 성별과 나이구분, 사람 수를 카운트 할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 모바일을 사용하여, 시스템에서 측정한 상대방에 관한 정보를 미리 확인할 수 있어 원활한 대인관계를 갖을 수 있도록 하였다. 제안 시스템은 안드로이드 스마트폰과 연동하여 실험되어졌으며, C++, Open CV 및 Kinect SDK를 기반으로 구현하였다.

  • 음성 인식 기술이 발달함에 따라 음성 인식 기술을 이용한 응용의 개발이 중요한 문제로 떠오르고 있다. VoiceXML은 전화기를 통한 음성 인터페이스를 위한 XML 언어로서 손쉬운 방법으로서 음성 인터페이스를 설계, 구현할 수 있도록 만들어진 언어이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 이용해 전화를 통하여 음성으로 자동차 정보 안내 시스템을 사용할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 구현한다. 구현된 시스템 및 서비스는 VoiceXML의 장점을 활용하여 원거리에서 편리하게 사용자가 자동차의 정보를 안내받고 제어할 수 있는 인터페이스 자체보다는 음성 인터페이스의 설계 및 구현에 중점을 두었다. 10인의 피실험자가 각 10회씩 총 100회를 실험한 결과 99.3%의 인식률을 보였다. 추후 차세대 자동차 텔레메틱스 서비스와 연동하면 구현되어진 시스템의 활용이 증대될 것이라 판단된다.

Navigation of Unmanned Vehicle Using Relative Localization and Magnetic Guidance (상대위치인식과 자계안내를 이용한 무인주행차량의 주행기법)

  • In this paper, a navigation technology of an unmanned vehicle using relative localization and magnetic guidance is proposed. Magnetic guidance system had been developed as a robust autonomous driving technology as long as magnetic fields on the path are detected. Otherwise, if magnetic fields were not detected due to some reasons, the vehicle could not drive. Therefore, in order to overcome the drawback, we propose that relative localization would be combined to magnetic guidance system. To validate the usefulness of the proposed method, a robotic vehicle was set up with the magnetic guidance system and the relative localization. In addition, the unmanned driving test was realized on the road without the magnetic fields so that the proposed method is verified by the experiment.
