Rehabilitation with the Green Method for the Huge Pipeline Using a Dry-Type Equipment (녹색공법을 이용한 대형 수도관 갱생)

  • 1979년 준공된 수도권 광역상수도 1단계 시설은 상당한 노후화가 진행되었을 것으로 예상되며, 또한 향후 한강하류권 용수공급계획이 예정되어 있어 내부부식 및 관로손상부 개량의 시급성이 제기되었다. 이에 따라 직경 2,800${\sim}$800mm의 초대구경 도수관 53.9km의 개량을 위한 사업이 추진되었으며 시공성, 환경성, 경제성 등의 여러 항목에 대한 검토 결과 신개념 녹색공법인 비굴착식 건식일체형 공법이 최종 선정되었다. 그동안 기존관 개량공사에서 주로 사용되었던 굴착공법이 굴착에 따른 공기지연, 소음 분진 악취 등의 환경오염, 전구간 굴착에 따른 공사비 증가 등 많은 문제점을 안고 있는 것에 반해, 동사업에서 채택된 비굴착공법은 관로내에서 작업이 이루어지므로 공기단축, 환경오염 최소화에 따른 민원발생 최소화, 작업구만 굴착함에서 오는 공사비 절감 등 상대적으로 훨씬 우수한 것으로 평가된다. 동공법에 따르면 관내부 갱생공사는 '배수 및 잔류토사 제거'${\to}$'관내건조'${\to}$'표면처리'${\to}$'프라이머도장'${\to}$'본도장'의 순으로 진행된다. 일체형 장비에 의한 이와 같은 초대형관의 자동화시공은 세계에서 처음 적용되는 것이다.

A Development of Shoes Cleaner Control System using Raspberry Pi

  • Since leather shoes cannot be washed with water, there is a need for a cleaning method that can remove extraneous substance from the inside and outside of shoes and senitize the inside of shoes without using water. For this purpose, this paper develops a shoes cleaning machine control system that automatically controls the entire process of shoes cleaning in a shoes cleaning machine that quickly cleans the inside and outside of shoes using compressed air, sterilization solution. The developed system uses Rasberry Pi, a general purpose single board computer(SBC), to control various actuators of the shoes cleaning machine. The shoes cleaning machine operated by the developed system shows a sterilization efficiency of more than 99% and an odor removal efficiency of more than 86% in a cleaning time of less than 1 minute.

  • The catalytic effect of waterworks sludge on NOx removal in $BaTiO_3$pellets and sludge pellets combined packed-bed plasma reactor with plate-plate electrode geometry is measured for the various conditions. NOx removal rate is about 90[%] at $BaTiO_3$-sludge combined reactor used fresh sludge. $NO_2$ and $O_3$ as byproducts are significantly generated in only $BaTiO_3$ packed-bed plasma reactor, however, in $BaTiO_3$-sludge combined packed-bed reactor, $NO_2$ and $O_3$ are completely removed while $CO_2$ as by-products are observed from FTIR spectra. $NO_2$ and $O_3$ seem to react with metallic molecules, metal oxide, and organic compounds that are generally chlorophyll included in sludge. NOx removal rate increases with $O_2$ concentration increasing. Removal rates $NO_2$ and $O_3$ are independent of operating time and repetition measurement times.

  • 자동차 운행의 급증과 유류 및 유기 용제의 사용 확대로 인해 휘발성유기화합물질(Volatile Organic Compounds : VOC)의 배출은 증가추세에 있다. VOC는 오존 등 광화학스모그 원인 물질일 뿐만 아니라 발암성 등의 유해 물질, 지구온난화와 성층권 오존층 파괴의 원인물질, 대기 중 악취물질로서 환경 및 건강에 영향을 초래하여 VOC 대한 규제관리 및 감축에 대한 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 상용화된 VOC 저감기술로는 고온산화, 촉매산화, 흡착 등의 방법이 있으며 이 기술들은 농도, 에너지 requirement, 비용 및 부산물 처리 등의 문제가 있다.   • Animal excreta is a useful fertilizer, because it has useful nourishments, microelements and three requistes of fertilizer(nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium). But, it has some problems such as generation of bad smell and excess of nitrogen. In this study, a biological tool using microorganisms was investingated. First, 61 species were isolated from soil sample. The enzyme activities of the strains such as protease, cellulase, amylase and lipase were analysed. And from a deodorization test using the isolated strains and finally three strains were selected(NA 2, NA 12, NA 15). The optimal media composition and incubation pH were statistically determined using surface-response method.

Removal of Malordorous Sulfur Compounds by Thiobacilius neapolitanus R-10 (Thiobacillus neapolitanus R-10에 의한 유황계 악취물질의 제거)

  • Thiokncillus neapolitanus R-10 isolated from sludge of night soil, showed an oxidizing activity on several malodorous sulfur compounds. The microbe successfully utilized hydrogen sulfide(H2S), methy mercaptan(MM), dimethyl sulfide(DMS) and dimethyldisulfide(DMDS) during the batch culture reaction, of which H2S was rather rapidly oxidized. To examine the ability for removal of malodorous sulfur compounds, various concentrations of sulfide substrates were supplemented separately to basal medium and their responses were investigated. As the concentration of sulfide was increased, growth was accelerated within three days of cultivation. 2.5mM was the most favorable substrate concentration of sulfide added for all cases tested. However, when the concentration of sulfur compounds were raised over 4M, they behaved as a growth inhibitor.

Studies on the Deodorization in the Nightsoil Treatment Plant with liquid Phase Catalytic Oxidation Method by Utilization of Fe-EDTA (Fe-EDTA계 액상촉매 산화법에 의한 분뇨처리장 악취제거에 관한 연구)

  • The present study was performed to develop the removal system of the offensive gases, including hydrogen sulfide of acid gas, ammonia or amice of base gas, from the nightsoil treatment plant. In order to remove the offensive gases, the Fe-EDTA system liquid phase catalytic oxidation method with the bubble lift column reactor was employed. From the results obtained, it was confirmed that the offensive gases can be deodorized simultaneously and also hydrogen sulfide of acid gas, ammonia of base gas completely removed at pH 6.45. In addition, as input gases feed rate the efficiency of acid gas did not change but the efficiency of base gases decreased to approximately 90 % at pH 6, 0. From the result of particle size analyzer, it was found that the particle sizes including sulfur and other impurites grew up to $21{\mu}m$ over 72hour reaction time.

Continuous Deodorization of Malodorous Sulfur Compounds Using Immobilized Riohacillus neapolitanuts R-10 (고정화 Thiobacillus neapolitanus R-10를 이용한 유황계 악취물질의 연속제거)

  • Continuous deodorization of malodorous sulfur compounds by Thiobaillus neapolitanusts R-10 immobilized onto a polypropylene pellet was studied using a column reactor at 30$^{\circ}$C. The maximum amounts of immobilized cells was 5.3 gall polypropylene with 5$\times$7.5mm in pellet size, and the amounts of immobilized cells in the higher part of the column was as twice as in the lower part. The optimum pH and temperature for removal of dimethyl sulfide were 6.0 and 30$^{\circ}$C, respectively. When 5-20 ${mu}ell$/l of hydrogen sulfide and methylmercaptan were employed 98% of removal efficiency were achieved. In contrast, lower concentrations of dimethyl sulfide and dimethyldisulfide should be supplied to meet satisfactory deodorization efficiency. The immobilized cell column was successfully operated for the deodorization of mixture of sulfur compounds over 15 days without significant loss of initial activity achieving high efficiency.

  • It is a tendency where the number of the restaurant is increasing recently with advancement of the food service industry. In comparison, Noxiousness fine MIST and the removal are passively done in about offensive odor which occurs meat products processing as emitting like that in the atmosphere. Because adherence lamination in the exhaustion line pipe has need of a periodic cleaning and change, it must discontinue the business of long time. In this paper, The technique development on fine MIST, dust of offensive odor and filtering which occur meat products processing prevents adherence/lamination of fine MIST in exhaustion line pipe. And the source prevents the environmental matter which is emitted in the atmosphere under maximizing boil offensive odor and the filtering effect of noxiousness MIST.

Removal of Alkali Odors using Impregnated ACFs (첨착 ACF를 이용한 염기성 악취물질의 제거)

  • Malodorous gases give discomfort and harm to laborers and residential neighborhoods and therefore, the removing odor materials emitted from plants and industrial facilities is important subject. The main ingredients of alkali odor are $NH_3$ and $CE_3SH$. The adsorption characteristics of odors were studied using four different activated carbon fibers(ACF) and active carbon(AC). Alkali odor was removed by using ACF impregnated with $H_3PO_4$ and $H_2SO_4$ and treated with $HNO_3$ and NaOH. The experimental result showed that ACF has a higher removal efficiency than AC. The adsorption capacity was increased with the impregnation and surface treatment, and $H_2SO_4$ was the best impregnant for the removal of alkali odor.
