지금까지 개발된 대다수의 정보시스템은 시스템 품질 요소인 상호운용성, 이식성, 확장성 및 재사용성 등이 극히 미흡하여 통합성이 부족할 뿐 아니라 과도한 유지보수비를 요구하고 있다. 더구나 이러한 시스템의 컴포넌트들은 엔터프라이즈 범위에서 개발되지 않아서 해당 시스템 외에서는 재사용을 할 수 없다. 정보기술아키텍처 및 엔터프라이즈아키텍처는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 출현하였다. 본 논문은 엔터프라이즈아키텍팅 개념을 기반으로 시스템 컴포넌트의 품질을 향상 할 수 있는 방법을 제시하는 것으로, 먼저 아키텍팅개념을 발전시킨 엔터프라이즈아키텍팅에 대하여 살펴보았다. 둘째, 시스템 컴포넌트의 품질 요소를 정의하기 위하여 시스템기반 상호 운용성, 이식성, 확장성, 및 TCO개념을 시스템 컴포넌트개념으로 재정의 하였으며, 셋째, 이를 기반으로 시스템 컴포넌트의 품질 요소인 재사용성을 정의하였고, 마지막으로, 엔터프라이즈아키텍팅에 의해 시스템 컴포넌트의 재사용성이 향상됨을 보여주었다.

With the realization of the importance of the NWI, iterated by the Cheonan Ship sink and the YP-Do shelling, this thesis separates the NWI from the peninsula, regarding it separate from the Korea Theater of Operations, and suggests the method to establish NCOE with consideration to the characteristics of separated theater as well as the current situation. Although the NWI holds strategic value, systematical NCOE of surveillance and reconnaissance system, command and control system, and precision strike system is not yet established. Pertaining to this issue, Architecting was utilized to identify improvement measures and of the identified improvement measures, improvement on the "strike on nK hardened artillery sites with K-9 Self-Propelled Artillery in correlations with theater ISR" shows greatly improved strike effects when conducting simulations based on the Operation-Plan Analysis Model. Such a method of NCOE establishment will serve as a standard model for military force building and operation execution system for separated theater operations such as the NWI.

2005년 MND-AF v1.0의 제정으로 시작된 국방 아키텍처 활동은 2007년 범 정부 아키텍처 프레임워크와의 산출물 연계를 위한 v1.2 발표와 함께 새로운 전기를 맞고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국방 아키텍처 활동 소개와 국방 아키텍처 변화에 따른 국방기술품질원의 자체 아키텍팅 활동 정리 그리고 v1.2의 도입과 함께 최근 관심 사항이 되고 있는 ITA/EA 툴의 제품 동향과 도입 사업 추진 시의 평가기준 등을 제시한다.

The term system architecting(SA) is widely used in systems engineering area, however the explicit meaning of the term varies considerably from person to person depending on his expertise and viewpoints. In this paper, we surveyed the range of variations in definitions and present the summary. Additionally, the definition of robust system architecting is suggested along with the associated system architecture guides that can be followed during an architecture development. This guide exposes various viewpoints of architecture such as art side, requirement specification, system view, principles, tools and environment.

IT capability is one of the main research topics in MIS area. Given the finding that IT investment does not necessarily contribute to better organizational performance, the concept of IT capability was selected as an alternative antecedent variable for IT's effect on performance. A number of existing MIS papers have shown that firms with the high level of IT capability lead to a better performance. However, very little research has been done concerning the issue of how the IT capability could be enhanced. Recently, enterprise architecture effort has been emerged as an avenue to better IT management. This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between EA effort and IT capability.

Systems Engineering(SE), as a special discipline evolved from multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary design knowledges and practical lessons learned from development practices, is required to develop today's ever-growing large complex systems. As computer speed and analytic sophistication accelerate their applications, modern society's needs have become increasingly varied and complex. Rapid advances in Systems Engineering and its education programs among the developed countries demonstrate their needs as an alternative to what is lacking from traditional disciplinary engineering to meet new challenges of our changing social environments. Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary approach that includes both management and technical processes. Its processes, methods, and tools are used to evolve, define, and verify an integrated, life-cycle balanced set of system solution that satisfy customer needs and requirements. The process methodology offers a top-down comprehensive, iterative and recursive problem solving process which includes the stating the problems, investigating the alternatives, architecting and modeling the system, integrating and operating the system, assessing and re-evaluating the system performances. The purpose of this paper is to research the cases of SE educational programs for both domestic and other developed countries and to propose recommendations for the domestic SE educational programs in the future.
