  • This study examined the effects of social support and life satisfaction on the sustainability of meditation psychological counselors. The subjects were 124 meditation psychological counselors at K city. As an analysis method, frequency, reliability, and correlation analysis were performed using the SPSS 22.0 program, and multiple regression analysis on the causal relationship between variables was conducted. First, information support, a sub-factor of social support, significantly affected sustainability. On the other hand, emotional, material, and evaluation support did not affect sustainability. Second, in the effect of life satisfaction of meditation psychological counselors on sustainability, the overall satisfaction factor, which is a sub-factor of life satisfaction, positively affected sustainability. This means that the higher the information support factor of social support and the overall satisfaction of life satisfaction perceived by the meditation psychological counselor, the higher the sustainability. This study implies that the meditation psychological counselors as human factors will become more important to future society. Quality and role will be more prominent to enhance healthy continuous activities and sustainability. This study provides basic data to improve the sustainability of meditation psychological counselors.

Specially, we used Schwartz's PVQ, life satisfaction, positive affect, psychological well-being, social well-being, and Korean Happiness scale to measure values and happiness. According to the bivariate correlational analysis, generally, there were positive correlation between benevolence, self-direction, universalism, stimulation and one of 5 happiness measurements and there was negative correlation between achievement and life satisfaction. Nature-relatedness were positively related with five types of happiness measurements. According to the hierarchical regression, demographic variables(sex, religion, economic levels), value types, and nature-relatedness explained 25%~36% of variance in happiness. Value was more related with psychological well-being than life satisfaction, positive affect, social well being, Korean happiness scale. This results emphasize the importance of healthy value(benevolence, self-direction) and provision of opportunities contact with nature to promote human happiness.

However, there was no statistically significant difference between the satisfaction of life and discretionary time according to gender. Second, time pressure was negatively correlated with the satisfaction of life of university students but positively correlated with the negative emotion. The discretionary time was positively correlated with the satisfaction of life of university students but negatively correlated with the negative emotion. Time pressure and discretionary time were not correlated with the positive emotion. Finally time pressure significantly correlated with the satisfaction of life, the negative emotion. And It seems that time pressure had an especially strong effect on the negative emotion. Such results imply that time pressure is important for reducing university students's the negative emotion, a subfactor of subjective wellbeing.

  • In this study, to explore the psychological and biosocial characteristics of the temperament and character's latent profile group, first, the latent group was identified with the seven variables of the Temperament and Character Inventory(TCI), and second, the difference between the psychological and biosocial characteristics of three identified latent groups. A total of 287 university students participated, and the latent groups was identified through latent profile analysis, a human-centeted statistical method, using Cloninger's TCI, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ), Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule(PANAS), Composite Scale of Moriningness(CSM), Pittsburgh Sleep Qulity Index(PSQI), and Satisfaction With Life Scale(SWLS). As result, first, three latent groups were identified through latent profile analysis using the seven variables of TCI. second, significant differences were identified in CERQ, PANAS, which are psychological variables, CSM, PSQI, and SWLS, which are biosocial variables among the latent groups. In conclusion, the importance of Self-Directedness(SD), a character factor that can be developed rather than Harm-Avoidance(HA), a temperament factor from nature, was confirmed. And the necessity of follow-up studies on psychological and biosocial variables for adaptive and mature personality was discussed.

  • The main purpose of this research is to examine the relation of variables related to the worker's stress symptoms and coping. The influence of emotional support(from family, colleague, and boss), self-efficacy (self-regulatory, social, relational, resiliency, and management of work), job-satisfaction, and job-performance on worker's stress symptoms and coping is analyzed. Participants were 559 teachers (elementary 205, junior high 203, senior high 151; male 132, female 427). The results were as follows: There were no significant differences in stress symptoms and coping among primary, junior and senior high school teachers. On the other hand, there were significant differences in stress symptoms and coping between male and female teachers. Female teachers experienced more stress symptoms than male teachers. At the same time female teachers coped more efficiently in stress situation than male teachers. With emotional support, self-efficacy, job-performance and job-satisfaction as independent variables, the result of multiple regression showed that job-satisfaction has a negative influence on stress symptoms. Positive influences on stress coping was found for resiliency of self-efficacy in case of male teachers, and in case of female teachers resiliency of self-efficacy, emotional support from colleague, job-performance, and emotional support from family. Therefore, regardless of the gender of the teachers, high job-satisfaction decreased stress symptoms and high resiliency of self-efficacy increased efficient stress coping. As for female teachers, not only resiliency of self-efficacy but also emotional support from colleague and family, job-performance contributed to coping with stress.
