A Study on an Improved DDS Discovery Method for a Large-scale System

  • The DDS discovery is a behind-the-scenes way in which DDS objects on different nodes find out each other in a same domain. If the DDS discovery takes a long time, the preparation time for DDS communication is also delayed. And if the DDS discovery between several nodes fails, DDS communication between nodes related to them would be also failed. This problems can be a big cause of overall system performance degradation. Therefore, the improvement of performance for the DDS discovery gives the effect that improves the performance of the entire system. In this paper, I propose an efficient new method which improves the performance and reduces the time of DDS discovery. I simulate both the origin and the new proposed method for DDS discovery, and I compare the result of performance. This result will help for improving a DDS discovery in a large-scale system.

A Empirical Study on the Trust Recovery and Recovering Loyalty in Smartpone Applications Usages according to Service Type (스마트폰 앱에서 서비스 유형에 따른 신뢰 회복 및 로열티 재구축에 대한 연구)

  • The purposes of this research is to propose trust recovery model of smartphone applications and to examine the moderating effect of service type on the use of smartphone applications. To achieve research purposes, we suggested service failure type using the scenario technique and empirically verified by conducting survey. The results showed that the procedural justice and interpersonal justice have influence on trust and trust had an effect on the all quality factors (system, information, service quality). Also, information quality and service quality had an effect on the customer loyalty. Finally, service type had significant moderating effects on the relationship between perceived justice and quality.

  • 웹 상에서의 자연어 처리 응용에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되면서, 웹 문서에서 자주 나타나는 특징인 문장 표현에 있어서의 자유로움은 문장 처리의 기술적인 어려움을 가중시킨다. 특히, 문장 내의 부분적인 비정형적 표현이 흔히 나타남으로 인해 구문 분석이 자주 실패하게 되는데, 이에 대한 강건성 확보를 위해서 실패에 대한 복구 작업이 필요하다. 우리는 두 단계 구문 규칙을 사용하여 1 단계에서 정형적 표현의 문장들을 처리하고, 2 단계에서 구문 규칙의 제약을 완화하여 부분적인 비정형적 표현까지도 포용할 수 있도록 한다. 후-실패 완화과정에서 일관성 있게 구문 규칙을 사용함으로써 효율적인 구조적 파스 트리의 구조도 가능하게 하며, 차트의 재사용을 통해 구조적 애매성과 분석 시간의 단축을 가져온다.

Moderating Role of Customer-Firm Relationship Characteristics In Service Failures and Customer Defection Link (서비스실패와 고객이탈간 연결에서 고객-기업 관계특성의 조정적 역할 - 가구단위의 연속적 서비스를 중심으로 -)

  • As maintaining customer long term relationship is critical factor for improving to firm value as well as customer lifetime value, the academicians and practitioners have paid attention to customer defection. It is said that service failures are key factors to customer defection or customer switching(Keaveney 1995 etc.). This study examines that the effect on customer defection of service failures is differential according to the various customer-firms relationship characteristics. We consider relationship duration, usage level, decision making influence, industry knowledge and switching cost as customer-firm relationship characteristics based on marketing literature. Predictions are developed and tested using Internet service provider(ISP) user survey data(n=212). Results show that the customer-firms relationship characteristics/above variables) play a moderating roles in the service failures and customer defection links.

The study on the role of employees' authenticity during service recovery (서비스 회복 과정에서 종업원 진정성의 역할에 관한 연구)

  • Any enterprises cannot be free from service failure because of service attribute. Thus, the effort to recover from service failure properly has an important meaning. This study emphasizes on the need of effort of service recovery and distinguishes the operant situation of service failure into severity and controllability. At this moment in time, this study wants to verify the role of the effect of justice awareness on trust and satisfaction and adjustment role of employees' authenticity. An object of his study was 206 people who complained about service and this study analyzed their questionnaires by using SPSS, AMOS. To sum up, First, this study result shows that the seriousness of service failure has a negative effect on justice and only controllability has a negative effect on justice. Second, this study result shows that justice awareness has a positive effect on trust and satisfaction and that recovered trust has a positive effect on satisfaction. Third, authenticity has regulation effect on the structural relationship of severity, controllability, trust and satisfaction. Based on such result, this study presented suggestive point and suggested future study.

An Enhanced Rerouting Function using the Failure Information in a VANET Unicasting Routing (VANET 유니캐스팅 라우팅에서 실패 정보를 이용한 경로 재탐색 기능의 강화)

  • The unicasting routing technology of VANET is very important for user convenience. Unicasting packets must be forwarded to the appropriate path in order to arrive to the destination. However, there are so many problems because the vehicle nodes have limited information related to the routing decision. In particular, packet delivery failure will be occurred by selecting the path already failed again. We call this problem as 'Failed Path Re-Selection Problem'. In this paper, we propose an enhanced rerouting function of VANET Routing. The proposed rerouting function uses the failed path information when rerouting function executed. For this rerouting function, failed path information will be stored in the packet whenever the routing fail occurred. By the comparison with the performance of legacy VANET routing function, the superiority of the proposed method can be seen.

Sequential and Selective Recovery Mechanism for Value Misprediction (값 예측 오류를 위한 순차적이고 선택적인 복구 방식)

  • Value prediction is a technique to obtain performance gains by supplying earlier source values of its data dependent instructions using predicted value of a instruction. To fully exploit the potential of value speculation, however, the efficient recovery mechanism is necessary in case of value misprediction. In this paper, we propose a sequential and selective recovery mechanism for value misprediction. It searches data dependency chain of the mispredicted instruction sequentially without pipeline stalls and adverse impact on clock cycle time. In our scheme, only the dependent instructions on the predicted instruction is selectively squashed and reissued in case of value misprediction.

Repetition and Inertia of Policy Failure -Focusing on the Case of Yangyang International Airport (정책실패의 반복과 관성에 관한 연구: 양양국제공항 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed the repeated causes of policy failure focusing on Yangyang International Airport cases. Yangyang International Airport, which opened in 2002, was built with about 360 billion won, but it is considered as a representative example of policy failure of local airports. According to the policy failure theory, the failure factors of Yangyang International Airport are anlyzed by rationalistic, political, and environmental complexity viewpoint. The results are as follows. First, from a rationalist point of view, Yangyang Airport failed to achieve the policy goal of securing passengers and revitalizing local economy, This is due to the pressure of politics and the lack of geographical infrastructure. Second, the failure of the stakeholders to resolve conflicts in the flow of politics can be seen as the conflict between the airline and the airport, and the failure to reconcile conflicts between the government and the airports on the low cost airline permits and subsidies. Third, from the viewpoint of environmental complexity, Yangyang International Airport can be regarded as a failure to adapt to environmental changes such as the opening of nearby expressways and railway lines, and the sharp decline of Chinese tourists. This study sugeests the establishment of an independent organization that can prevent unreasonable business promotion by politics in the case of large scale national projects, the linkage with the surrounding infrastructure and related businesses in the case of transportation facilities such as airports and railways, and institutionalization of cooperative governance for coordinating conflict among stakeholders.
