1977년은 견실한 성장을 이룩하는 해로 될 것이다. 작년은 경제는 별지장없이 순조로운 회복궤도를 걸었으나 이로인하여 1977년이 호조의 해로될 준비가 되었다고 할 수 있다. 기업 및 소비자의 양사 공히 호주머니형편은 향상되어 있으며 경제활동의 건전한 확대를 충분 지탱할 수가 있는 것이다. 그러나 70년대를 통해서 굉장히 귀찮았든 문제인 인플레와 실업의 2개문제는 의연 미해결될 것 같다.

Introducing a concept of 'the Effect of My Mom's Friend's Son'(MMFS Effect) into the conventional job search theory to develop it further, we try to estimate its effects on the hazard rate of youth pre-employment duration with some proxy variables such as his/her parents' schooling, monthly temporary/daily workers ratio, monthly average wage differentials between the workers of large and small firms. The results confirm us the fact that so called 'MMFS Effect' has been strengthened gradually up to recently. Their policy implications are as followings. Firstly, from the standpoint of shortening job searching period of youth and raising the hazard rate of their unemployment, the trend that the differentials of wages and quality of jobs in the labor market are expanding continuously is not desirable at all. Secondly, the problems of youth unemployment cannot be solved easily only by providing correct and relevant informations about the labor markets simply.

Most of existing studies about the small area estimation deal with the estimation of parameters based on cross-sectional data. However, since many official statistics are repeatedly collected at a regular interval of time, for instance, monthly, quarterly, or yearly, we need an alternative model which can handle characteristics of these kinds of data. In this paper, we investigate the generalized estimating equation which can model time-dependency among response variables and is useful to analyze repeated measurement or longitudinal data. We compare with the generalized linear model and the generalized estimating equation through the estimation of unemployment rates of 25 areas in Gyeongsangnam-do and Ulsan. The data consist of the status of employment and some covariates from January to December 2005.

현재 우리나라 공업력은 급속도로 발전하고 있다. 후진국으로서 조속한 기일내에 공업이 발전하 여 가고 있는 것은 오로지 공업교육에 이바지함이 크다고 볼 수 있다. 한때 일부 인사들은 우골 대학이나 실업자양성소라고 대학을 혹평한 때도 있었으나 현재 우리나라 공업발전이 다후진국에 비하여 급속도로 발전되어가고 있는 것은 대학졸업자의 수가 많은 것이 원인이라고 볼 수 있을 것 같다. 특히 자원이 없는 우리나라로서는 장래를 생각하여 공업입국의 적합한 평책을 세워야 할 것이며, 국제적 무역수지의 문제가 발생할 것으로 보아 공업교욱문제를 생각안 할 수 없을 것이다. 이하 주로 기계설계를 담당하고 있는 한 사람으로서 이 분야에 초점을 들어 필자의 소감 을 쓰기로 한다.

This study purposed to reveal the process of change in dismissed workers' experiences at dismissal and the subsequent period of unemployment. For this purpose, six dismissed workers' psychological experiences were explored using the phenomenological method as one of qualitative research methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the workers on their psychological experiences at dismissal, continuous psychological or physical changes after dismissal, current state, etc. and from the analysis of the data were derived 12 sub-themes and they were categorized into four main themes. The four main themes were 'emotions experienced with dismissal,' 'psychological and physical symptoms,' 'patterns of social perception,' 'and ways of coping with dismissal.' The main themes and their sub-categories were described, and dismissed workers' specific experiences related to them were explained. Lastly, dismissed workers' changes and experiences were discussed based on previous studies.
