Multipath Routing Method for QoS Support in WMSNs (WMSN에서 QoS 지원을 위한 다중 경로 라우팅 기법)

  • Aside from the issues like energy saving and maximizing network lifetime. WMSN has another issue to deal with: support of quality of service(QoS) which is required especially for handling real-time data such as object tracking and data gathering. This paper proposes a multipath routing algorithm considering the distance to sink node, energy level and link quality of neighbour nodes. Proposed algorithm supports multipath routing path with high quality links. Hence it helps to reduce a power consumption concentration that happens in particular set of nodes along the frequently selected route. It also specifies a service quality pattern and a service quality level depending on traffic pattern. By doing this, the proposed algorithm can realize a differentiated service with QoS guaranteed data transmission.

  • A smart parking management requires to track a vehicle in a indoor parking lot and to detect the place where the vehicle is parked. An advanced parking system watches all space of the parking lot with CCTV cameras. We can use these cameras for vehicles tracking and detection. In order to cover a wide area with a camera, a fisheye lens is used. In this case the shape and size of an moving vehicle vary much with distance and angle to the camera. This makes vehicle detection and tracking difficult. In addition to the fisheye lens, the vehicle headlights also makes vehicle detection and tracking difficult. This paper describes a method of realtime vehicle detection and tracking robust to the harsh situation described above. In each image frame, we update the region of a vehicle and estimate the vehicle movement. First we approximate the shape of a car with a quadrangle and estimate the four sides of the car using multiple histograms of oriented gradient. Second we create a template by applying a distance transform to the car region and estimate the motion of the car with a template matching method.

  • An experimental test section was placed in Pangyo-Guri Expressway to monitor the performance of CRCP(Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement). So far early-age behaviors of the test section have been monitored for about two years. The purposes of this paper are to analyze the early-age behavior and temperature pattern of the test section and to compare the results with those of similar test sections placed in Houston. As results of this study, following findings were obtained. The results of Pangyo-Guri test section were generally better than those of Houston test sections in terms of the early-age crack patterns. Type II cement was more effective than type I cement in controlling the early-age cracking. Afternoon placement was more effective than morning construction in controlling the early-age cracking in summer season.

  • This paper presents a method for real-time face detection and tracking which combined Adaboost and Camshift algorithm. Adaboost algorithm is a method which selects an important feature called weak classifier among many possible image features by tuning weight of each feature from learning candidates. Even though excellent performance extracting the object, computing time of the algorithm is very high with window size of multi-scale to search image region. So direct application of the method is not easy for real-time tasks such as multi-task OS, robot, and mobile environment. But CAMshift method is an improvement of Mean-shift algorithm for the video streaming environment and track the interesting object at high speed based on hue value of the target region. The detection efficiency of the method is not good for environment of dynamic illumination. We propose a combined method of Adaboost and CAMshift to improve the computing speed with good face detection performance. The method was proved for real image sequences including single and more faces.

  • A developed skill of an intelligent CCTV is also advancing by using its Image Acquisition Device. In this field, area for technique can be divided into Foreground Subtraction which detects individuals and objects in a potential observing area and a tracing technology which figures out moving route of individuals and objects. In this thesis, an improved algorism for a settled engine development, which is stable to change in both noise and illumination for detecting moving objects is suggested. The proposed algorism from this thesis is focused on designing a stable and real time processing method which is perfect model in detecting individuals, animals, and also low-speeding transports and catching a change in an illumination and noise.

  • This paper presents the integrated storage function model (ISFM) to improve the accuracy of the storage function model (SFM) which is widely employed for flood runoff analysis and its forecasting in Korea. In order to achieve this objective, the optimization method is applied for estimation of parameters of the model which dominate the accuracy of the analysis, which is usually taken by empirical formulae, and they are treated as time dependent variables. The fuzzy control technique is used to detennine the time variant parameters. In addition, the ISFM can be applied to the combined routing of the watershed and the channel with a residual watershed.ershed.

  • In this paper, the proposal system can achieve the more safety of RFID System with the 2-step authentication procedures for the enhancement about the security of general RFID systems. After authentication RFID Tag, additionally, the proposal system extract the characteristic information in the user image for acquisition of the additional authentication information of the user with the camera. In this paper, the system which was proposed more enforce the security of the automatic entrance and exit authentication system with the cognitive characters of RFID Tag and the extracted characteristic information of the user image through the camera. The RFID system which use the active tag and reader with 2.4GHz bandwidth can recognize the tag of RFID in the various output manner. Additionally, when the RFID system have errors, the characteristic information of the user image is designed to replace the RFID system as it compare with the similarity of the color, outline and input image information which was recorded to the database previously. In the result of experiment, the system can acquire more exact results as compared with the single authentication system when it using RFID Tag and the information of color characteristics.

  • In these days, mobile technology such as smart phone and GPS have an effect on business processes of many companies especially a transportation company. The purpose of this paper is to present the development processes of real time vehicles tracking and intelligent TMS (Transportation Management System) using smart phone applications. The objective of this study is two-fold. The first is to redesign business process of the transportation company. Using BPR (business process re-engineering), we analyze current processes to find opportunities for improvement redefining processes after adopting mobile technology precisely. The second is to develop the real time vehicles tracking and intelligent TMS. Proposed system consists of four parts : (1) intelligent TMS(web system) (2) real time vehicle tracking application for TMS (3) real time tracking application for customer (4) salesman supporting application. Developed system was tested at the transportation company and was found to be an useful system.

  • 21세기에는 정보기술의 혁명적 발전과 함께 전쟁양상이 파격적으로 변화될 것으로 예측되며, 전력체계의 특성이 근본적으로 변화됨과 더불어 전쟁 패러다임이 획기적으로 변하고 있다. 특히, 정보과학기술을 이용한 정밀감시, 통제, 타격 복합체계의 구축이 군사력 발전의 근간이 되고 있으며, 앞으로 디지털, 인터넷, 생명공학, 나노기술 등을 복합적으로 활용하는 것이 전력체계의 중심 축이 될 것이다. 특히 전쟁 수행 방식 및 수단의 변혁과 군사패러다임의 보편적 변화추세에 능동적으로 대비하기 위하여 유선과 무선 그리고 근거리 무선 사이에 이음매 없는 통신망이 실현됨으로써 누구든지 어디서나 네트워크로부터 자신이 필요한 정보를 얻을 수 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 민간분야에 활용하여 스마트 흠과 물류에 적용한 사례를 살펴보았다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 네트워크 기술은 21세기 변화될 형태의 전쟁을 수행하기 위해 국방 분야 적용이 필수적이며, 이를 통해 전술적인 감지$.$추적 능력의 차대 및 고도화된 전술 정보의 실시간 교환$.$공유, 전술부대의 커뮤니티 파워증대 효과를 가져 올 수 있다. 따라서 유비쿼터스 국방(u-Defense) 시대로 가기 위해 개발하여 적용 가능한 핵심 분야인 내장형 모바일 ad-hoc 네트워크 프로토콜, 무선 센서 네트워크, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)를 활용한 유비쿼터스 군수지원 등을 제시하였다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 국방을 위하여 우선 비용 측면과 민간분야에 비해 훨씬 강화된 정보 보호 및 무기체계간 상호인증 환경을 고려해야 하며, 국방 정보화에 전력증강차원의 과감한 투자가 요구된다. 또한, 저 비용 고효율의 군사력을 구축해야할 것이며, 첨단 정보체계 건설을 주도할 수 있는 정보 인력을 양성하여, 장기적으로 종합적인 발전계획을 수립하고 국방 정보 체계를 효율적으로 구축하면 군 전력향상에 획기적으로 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Design for CMAC Neural Network Speed Controller of DC Motor by Digital Simulations (디지털 시뮬레이션에 의한 CMAC 신경망 직류전동기 속도 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a CMAC(Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller) neural network for controlling a non-linear system. CMAC is a neural network that models the human cerebellum. CMAC uses a table look-up method to resolve the complex non-linear system instead of numerical calculation method. It is very fast learn compared with other neural networks. It does not need a calculation time to generate control signals. The simulation results show that the proposed CMAC controllers for a simple non-linear function and a DC Motor speed control reduce tracking errors and improve the stability of its learning controllers. The validity of the proposed CMAC controller is also proved by the real-time tension control.
