In the recent seismic design code KDS 41 17 00, selection and modification procedures of ground motions which are used for nonlinear dynamic analyses were adopted. However, its practical applications are still limited due to the lack of literatures. This paper introduces case studies which used site-response analyses to select and modify ground motions for nonlinear dynamic analyses. Based on the case studies, design criterion for site-response analyses were reviewed thoroughly in the viewpoint of practical applications. It was found that design requirements related with bedrock motions are too conservative that ground motions are selected and modified in the excessive manner. It is especially true for low-rise building structures with period ranges including acceleration-sensitive regions. Even though surface motions have shown appropriate responses, such building structures have to re-select and re-modify ground motions based on pre-analysis procedures rather than post-ones according to the current seismic design code. Also, it was observed that building structures with soft soils under strong ground motions need more comprehensive investigations on soil properties and efficient analysis methods in order to perform site-response analyses. This is due to the fact that lack of reliabilities on soil properties and analysis methods could result in unstable site-responses.

Purpose: This study aimed to update the previously published nursing practice guideline for prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Methods: The guideline was updated according to the manuals developed by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN), and a Handbook for Clinical Practice Guideline Developer Version 10. Results: The updated nursing practice guideline for prevention of VTE was consisted of 16 domains, 46 subdomains, and 216 recommendations. The recommendations in each domain were: 4 general issues, 8 assessment of risk and bleeding factors, 5 interventions for prevention of VTE, 18 mechanical interventions, 36 pharmacological interventions, 36 VTE prevention starategies for medical patients, 25 for cancer patients, 13 for pregnancy, 8 for surgical patients, 7 for thoractic and cardiac surgery, 16 for orthopedic surgery, 10 for cranial and spinal surgery, 5 for vascular surgery, 13 for other surgery, 3 educations and information, and 2 documentation and report. For these recommendations, the level of evidence was 32.1% for level I, 51.8% for level II, and 16.1% for level III according to the infectious diseases society of America (IDSA) rating system. A total of 112 new recommendations were developed and 49 previous recommendations were deleted. Conclusion: The updated nursing practice guideline for prevention of VTE is expected to serve as an evidence-based practice guideline for prevention of VTE in South Korea. It is recommended that this guideline will disseminate to clinical nursing settings nationwide to improve the effectiveness of prevention of VTE practice.

This study aims to develop a web records management process for public institutions and define the roles of agents in task execution. First, web records' concept and management environment across 17 domestic and international institutions were examined, and web archiving professionals were interviewed to investigate the current status of the environment, policies, and systems related to web record management. Then, a web records life-cycle management process was formulated to create a web records management framework applicable to domestic institutions. This process was classified into short-term, medium-to-long-term, and medium-to-long-term, with additional consideration plans designed to strengthen the web records management capabilities of public institutions from a long-term perspective. Third, the roles of agents in web records management, including the processing department, archivist, and permanent records management organization, are presented to establish a working foundation for the web record management process. Finally, the study's result can be used to build a process that reflects the practice of web records management or establish policies and systems related to web records management.

The purposes of this study are to find core domains of archival knowledge based upon two guidelines from foreign countries, and to analyze current status of archival education programs and curriculums in Korea and other countries. Based upon the analysis, several new directions for archival education in Korea are suggested as follows: strengthening the archival graduate programs for archival profession, developing and expanding interdisciplinary courses based upon participation and trial of various related disciplines, increment of graduate credits, hiring of the Ph. D. full-time faculty in archival studies, strengthening internship and research courses, developing a standard curriculum for archival education, and active participations and partnerships among archival graduate schools, professional archival societies, and archival related institutions.

In recent years, Korean engineering companies are actively entering into the international business. Although international engineering project is known to have lower risk rather that EPC construction project, Korean engineering companies' international sales profit is not as good. Therefore, this study analyzes the risks that are predicted before bid and actually occurred after award. In addition, this study shows the difference of risk depending on lump sum contract and cost reimburse contract. Finally, this study analyzes the difference of risk according to civil engineering and building engineering. This study provides industry to analyze risk more practically and helps academics to focus on risk to be studied more in the future.

e-learning has been recently introduced in all educational domains and it has expanded rapidly in educational field. Blended learning, which has emerged with e-learning nowadays, is an exact example of a new paradigm. It has not only educational effects of traditional classroom learning, but it also has effects of e-learning which provides learner-centered classroom environment and removes barriers of time and space. This study looked into several e-learning contents evaluation criteria that were already studied, And arranged with the evaluation question item that can evaluate learning effectiveness of e-learning contents in elementary school through a questionnaire executed in elementary school teachers. And it used this evaluation question item and the study accomplishment results of an education ruler, and applied to learning effectiveness evaluation of e-learning contents. This paper will give future directions and assessment criteria of e-learning. Moreover, this thesis will provide theoretical and practical materials for developing e-learning contents to improve quality of blended learning.

Incoterms 2010 Rules consist of 11 rules. The 11 rules are presented in "rules for any mode or modes of transport" and "rules for sea and inland waterway transport". The each rule of Incoterms 2010 rules has the guidance note, 10 articles(A1~A10) in relation to the seller's obligations and 10 articles(B1~B10) in relation to the buyer's obligations. The A6 and B6 of Incoterms 2010 rules, likewise previous Incoterms rules, have the article of allocations of costs. These articles of Incoterms 2010 rules provide the allocation of costs between the seller and the buyer. According to These A6 and B6, in principle, the seller must pay all costs relating to the goods until they have been delivered in accordance with A4, and the buyer must pay all costs relating to the goods from the time they have been delivered as envisaged in A4. The purpose of this paper is, therefore, to analyze the clauses of allocation of costs in Incoterms 2010 and to provide the problems of the clauses.

It is necessary to construct authority records in OPAC to improve the precision and the recall by organizing and connecting information systematically. Especially, the authority records are widely used in the museums, archives, art galleries, etc as well as in the libraries for work collocation and search. But KORMARC-Authority Format (KSX6006-4) could not have been revised and managed consistently reflecting international cataloging trends and revision needs of Korea libraries since it was published in 1999. Resultingly, there are only few libraries that would have constructed the authority records in OPAC in Korea, and OPAC without authority records could deteriorate the search quality. Therefore, this study would suggest the revision of KORMARC-Authority Format by investigating authority related international trends such as ICP, FRAD, RDA, VIAF and analyzing new MARC21-Authority Format applying these authority related trends. The research methods were used such as literature review, the analysis of 5 domestic libraries' authority records and VIAF records, and the group interview with librarians.

The objectives of this study are to investigate how the difference of consumer behavior between the expected and unexpected price discounts(increases), and mental accounting process affect spending account. Key findings of the study are as follows. First, it is shown that consumer would regard a windfall gain caused by the expected price discount and unexpected one as a different thing(gain}, Second, this study shows that if consumers are presented the price discount on the former purchased item in the case consumers purchase two kinds of items together, they would prefer spending more money on the later item to spending more money on the discounted item. Third, it is shown that consumers are willing to do a planned purchase when they find a store's price raise before arriving at a store(expected increasing) rather than after arriving at a store(unexpected increasing). The theoretical as well as practical implications were also discussed.

Products and/or services should be objectively verified in terms of the technological and use-conditional considerations before entering a market. Every organization or company tries to find the better procedure and method for checking the core needs of customers based on their experience in the market and looks for continuous ways to evaluate the power of products and services(PoP). They also prefer the overall evaluation of indices that could reflect various customer needs, rather than a separate evaluation index for each characteristic of the product or service. S. Ko (2008) proposes a Multi-characteristics Sigma Level(MSL) that can simultaneously evaluate many characteristics of a product or service. In this research, using MSL and a new Blue Ocean Index(BOI), an application of NPS, mobile phone field test is considered from a practical and statistical point of view.
