아파트 리모델링의 실내환경 계획지침 개발 (Development of Guidelines for Indoor Environment in Apartment Remodeling Projects)

  • The final aim of this study was to propose guidelines for the indoor environment of apartment remodeling projects. The first task of this study was to understand the major elements and the actual condition of the remodeling for apartment unit by carrying out in-depth interviews on residents and specialists. The open-access interviews were conducted with interior designers who have a wide experience of apartment remodeling and residents who live in recently remodeled apartment units. The second task was to evaluate the actual condition of the indoor environment and to analyze the main factors that affect the indoor environment in remodeled apartment units. Field measurements were carried out in twenty apartment units occupied after remodeling, recording indoor environment elements (indoor temperature, globe temperature, relative humidity, $CO_2$, CO, PM10, TVOC, HCHO, illumination, and equivalent noise level). Moreover, resident interviews and researcher observations were carried out to determine the contents of the remodeled unit and to investigate the architectural and living factors(like ventilation characteristics, etc.) related to the indoor environment. The results are as follows. The remodeling elements generally included the changing of lighting fixtures and finishing materials in all the spaces, the integration of the balcony into the children's room, the installation of furniture in the kitchen and the entrance, the changing storage furnitures and equipments in the bathroom. The average levels of each unit of relative humidity, $CO_2$, TVOC, HCHO, equivalent noise level, and illumination were proved to be on the whole in inadequate condition. The factors that affect these indoor elements were classified as remodeling factors (remodeling amounts, extent balcony integration, and lighting fixture exchange), ventilation characteristics, and living factors. According to these results, this research proposed the guidelines for the indoor environment in apartment remodeling projects.

아파트 리모델링 전.후의 휘발성유기화합물 농도 변화 (The Concentration Ascension of Volatile Organic Compounds after Remodeling in Apartment Houses)

  • The purposes of this study were to make clear the present condition of the TVOC and HCHO concentration after remodeling in apartment houses and to analyze the relation of concentrated ascension and remodeling elements. The field measurements of TVOC and HCHO concentration were carried out in 4 subject apartment houses according to the Korea Test Method Standard for Indoor Air Quality. The results are as follows; the TVOC concentration after remodeling ranged from mean 0.35ppm to mean 5.08ppm and increased of 0.35$^{\sim}$5.08ppm. The concentration of 3 subjects exceeded the Indoor Air Quality Management standard for the newly-built apartment houses (0.7ppm). The HCHO concentration after remodeling ranged from mean 0.13ppm to mean 0.43ppm and increased of 0.06$^{\sim}$0.26ppm. The concentration of 2 subjects exceeded the Standard (0.16ppm). As results of analysis on the relation of concentrated ascension and remodeling elements, the amount and the types of finishing materials and adhesives affected concentrated ascension. Also, production method for installed or purchased furniture had certain effect on the TVOC and HCHO concentration ascension.

창호 리트로피트를 통한 에너지 절감 및 실내 열환경 개선 효과 분석에 관한 연구 (Energy Saving Effect and Improvement of Indoor Thermal Environment through the Window Retrofit)

  • The goal of this study is to retrofit the windows of residential buildings and to activate the green remodeling by verifying energy saving and indoor thermal environment. As a result of analysis of the energy saving effect of 458 units window retrofits, it was possible to reduce the energy requirement by 48.20% ~ 54.97%. According to the improvement on indoor environment, it was possible to operate by reducing heating temperature and supply time. The actual gas consumption of the heating period was reduced by 25% compared with that of the window retarder to save 28,968 thousand won of heating energy cost. Resident's satisfaction surveys were conducted one year after window retrofit. More than 80% of the respondents answered that they satisfied the improvement on window performance, indoor thermal environment and indoor sound environment. As a result, we verified the energy saving effect and the improvement on the indoor environment through window retrofits.

  • 리모델링의 증가로 보수보강에 대하여 많은 관심을 갖게 되었다. 탄소섬유시트의 사용은 철근콘크리트 구조의 강성을 증가시키기 위하여 많이 쓰이고 있다. 따라서 새로운 보강방법으로 외부 부착에 의한 강성이 증가된 RC구조의 휨거동을 알아보기 위하여 실험과 분석 연구를 수행하였다. 또한 본 연구는 실험에 의한 피로하중을 받도록 한 FRP패널 보강방법에 대하여 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학교도서관 공간 영역 구성과 실내 환경 구성에 대한 현황과 사서 교사 인식을 분석하고, 학교도서관이 미래 교육 기본 시설로 자리매김하는 데 필요한 방안을 제안하는 것이다. 설문에 참여한 126명의 사서 교사가 가장 많이 확보한 공간은 자유 독서 영역이고, 가장 낮은 확보 정도를 보인 공간은 매체 제작·집단 프로젝트 영역이다. 공간 영역 중 사서 교사가 가장 중요하게 여기고 있는 영역은 교수 영역과 자유 독서 영역이고, 매체 제작·집단 프로젝트 영역에 대한 중요성 인식은 상대적으로 낮았다. 실내 환경 평가 요소 중 안전성과 쾌적성은 가장 중요하게, 다양성과 융통성에 대한 중요성 인식은 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 분석 결과, 학습공유공간과 창작 공간을 강조하고 있는 교육계와 도서관계의 흐름에 비해 사서교사는 여전히 전통적 도서관 공간에 대한 중요도 인식이 높은 것으로 보인다. 따라서 사서 교사 양성 및 재교육 과정에 창작공간 및 학습공유공간 구축과 운영 방안을 포함할 필요가 있다. 또한 이용자의 실내 환경 만족도를 높일 수 있도록 공간 구성과 실내 환경 구상에 교사와 학생 그리고 학부모 등 도서관 이용자의 참여를 확대할 필요가 있다.

Development of an Immersive Virtual Reality-Based Bathroom Self-Remodeling System

  • 최근 1인 가구의 급격한 증가로 인테리어 및 셀프 인테리어에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 홈 인테리어 시장 규모가 급성장하고 있다. 베스룸 리모델링은 대부분 오프라인 인테리어 업체에 의뢰한 후 최종 완성 단계에서 육안으로 확인하는 방식으로 진행되기 때문에 고객이 불만족하더라도 재시공이 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 가상현실에서 현실감을 느낄 수 있는 VR 기술을 접목하여 설계 단계부터 최종 단계까지 공간과 디자인을 시각적으로 확인할 수 있는 몰입형 가상현실 기반 베스룸 셀프 리모델링 시스템을 개발하였다. 베스룸 구조는 미리 정의된 베스룸 공간의 기본 구조를 선택할 수도 있고, 베스룸 공간의 크기를 자유롭게 설정할 수도 있다. 가구 용품은 베스룸의 필수 요소인 세면대, 변기, 욕조, 샤워부스와 기타(장착대, 쓰레기통, 손잡이)를 선택할 수 있다. 타일 텍스쳐는 다양한 텍스처를 선택하여 원하는 벽의 위치에서 선택된 타일의 텍스처를 변경할 수 있다. 특히 사용자와 시공자의 니즈에 따라 원하는 각도로 수평, 수직, 경사 방향을 선택하여 벽 타일의 질감을 다양하게 설정할 수 있다. 향후 연구과제로 이 시스템을 통해 물리적으로 멀리 떨어져 있는 사용자 간의 실내 공유를 실시간으로 가능하게 하여 가상 공간에서의 직접 체험, 구매 연결, 견적 요청 등이 가능하게 될 것이다.

A Case Study on BIM-enabled Evaluation of Design Alternatives for an Actual Remodeling Project in Korea - Focusing on the Spatial Program Review in Early Phase of Design -

  • This paper depicts a case study of the BIM (Building Information Modeling)-enabled evaluation of design alternatives for an actual remodeling project in Yeongwol, Korea. The increase of urban population and income followed by the growth of economy has derived massive supply of grand scale housing project in Korea since 1970s. Consequently, building remodeling became one of the feasible resolutions for renovating such old housings in these days. This paper aims to introduce a technical approach to such remodeling projects based on BIM-enabled applications focusing on quantitative analysis of design alternatives. Among the technical issues of such building remodeling projects, this paper focuses on the BIM-enabled area analysis and comparison between design alternatives to support decision-making even in early phase of remodeling design process. BIM and its variety of applications have broadly influenced the domain of AEC-FM (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Facility Management) within the lifecycle of buildings. As one of the applications facilitated by BIM, the automated area calculation and scenario-based comparison between alternatives can play an important role in the early phase of remodeling project. We modeled three design alternatives (buildings) and three housing modules (units) based on the actual case in Yeongwol city, Korea using a BIM design authoring tool. Nine combinatorial BIM models were demonstrated for the BIM-enabled review process described in this paper. To determine the most optimal design scenario among nine alternatives, this paper demonstrates a result of the conducted spatial program review. The main subject includes specific spatial program issues on; 1) the number of unit spaces; and 2) area of individual/grouped and private/shared spaces.

  • The value of all goods and services produced in the economy divided by population has risen from $7.355 in 1998 to $12.646 in 2003. In other to maintain higher standard of lifestyle, people are 'hungry' for time. The idea of saving time and money by providing many different types of products altogether in one space was implemented with the advent of large warehouse style discount stores. These type of retailers grew in size and popularity during the 1990s and 2000s, causing a decline in sales in the old, traditional downtown markets. From ancient to twenty-first century, the role of the grocery store has been that of the social center of the community; a place of unity and interaction of people. The experience a customer engages in at a grocery store is comparable to that of a museum. Not only is the grocery store a unique, physical space to visit, but also a rich collection of fascination items. The layout of the interior space is meticulously planned for the efficiency of customer circulation and the success of product exhibition. Eye catching graphics and attractive lighting also add to the appeal of the grocery store's high style. Shoppers are no longer satisfied with just buying good products at a lower price. Shoppers prefer to spend time in an entertaining environment. The Hanaro Mart project in this study propose the idea of warehouse style discount stores which can satisfy all the demands of customers and their various activities. This study will open up unique dimensions of aesthetic expression and experience in the interior environments. Shopping for food is an unavoidable task. If food shopping is enjoyable, more people will spend more time at it.

학교 교실의 음환경 기준에 따른 실내마감 방안 (Interior surface treatment guidelines for classrooms according to the acoustical performance criteria)

  • 교실 음환경은 학생들에게 매우 중요한 요소로 학습효과와 학업 성취에 매우 큰 영향을 미친다는 연구결과가 다수 발표되고 있다. 그러나 학교 교실의 신축이나 리모델링 시에 가이드라인 및 설계방안이 제시된 바 없어 적절한 음환경을 실현하는데 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이론적 수식과 현장실험을 통하여 교실의 음환경 기준을 만족하기 위한 다양한 설계방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 국내 중 고등학교의 교실에서 실내음향성능 기준을 만족하기 위해 필요한 최소 흡음면적을 계산하였다. 또한 교실의 천장 및 뒷벽의 다양한 마감상태에 따른 실내음향성능을 알아보고자 현장실험을 진행하여 실험 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 국내 교실 천장에 현재 거의 모든 학교에서 시행하고 있는 것처럼 천정흡음재를 설치하지 않아도 잔향시간 기준인 0.8 s를 만족할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 천장 일부 면적에 반사재를 적용하되 면적의 비율이 흡음 2 : 반사 1이면서 가로로 구획하는 것이 음압레벨을 향상시키며 전체가 흡음인 경우와 비슷한 명료도[$C_{50}$, $D_{50}$, RASTI(Rapid Speech Transmission Index)]를 확보할 수 있다.

교육시설의 실내환경 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (초등학교의 열 및 음환경 실측조사에 의한 사례연구) (Analysis of the Indoor Environmental Characteristics of Educational Facilities (Case Study of Thermal and Acoustical Environment of Elementary School by Field Measurement))

  • This study is to propose the basic data for deciding remodeling of wornout educational facilities. In order of it, the indoor environmental standard, the actual conditions of thermal environment and sound insulation of walls were examined through field measurement in the subjected open elementary school(J school) and modernization model of elementary school(Y school) which they are located in Seoul. As the result, standard for indoor environmental factors of educational facilities which is established by Ministry of Education is not subdivided into indoor environmental performances considering usages and characteristics of classrooms for comfortable indoor environment. The vertical temperature difference in general classroom and in open classroom showed to be $11.2^{\circ}C$ and $12.1^{\circ}C$ respectively, while indoor temperature of special classroon was, on the whole, higher than that of any other classroom due to its specific heat flux of wall materials. The sound insulation performance of the masonry brick wall of classroom satisfied the minimum standard of AIJ, Architectural Institute of Japan, in the open elementary school and the modernization model of elementary school. That is to say, the movable partition wall between the classroom and the corridor disturbed students in their class in the open school.
