Basic Research for Construction Indoor Digital Twin Construction (건설공사 실내 Digital Twin 구축을 위한 기초연구)

  • In the field of domestic construction, 3D modeling mainly targets outdoor construction sites, and acquires outdoor spatial information by operating UAVs and UGVs equipped with cameras. 3D modeling of construction sites tends to expand its scope to indoors along with the increasing demand for site monitoring and management through indoor spatial information. In the case of indoors, it is impossible to shoot with a drone after the framework and outer walls of the building are completed, so it is necessary to collect indoor spatial information and 3D modeling using a 360 camera. The purpose of this study is limited to basic research to establish a process that can obtain simple and high-quality indoor 3D modeling results using indoor data collected from 360 cameras.

  • 최근들어 냉난방시스템의 변화로 인하여 오피스텔, 원룸 등의 신축 및 개보수 공사에 시스템에어컨 등의 시공이 활발해짐에 따라 기계설비공사업을 등록하지 않은 장비제조 또는 판매업체가 시공하는 현상이 많아지고 있다. 이에 따라 대한설비건설협회는 건교부에“시스템에어컨의 설치금액이 1천만원 이상인 경우 기계설비공사업을 등록하지 않은 자가 설치∙시공할 경우 처벌조항”에 대하여 질의한 결과, 건교부가“냉난방 등을 조립∙설치하는 공사는 기계설비공사업의 업무내용에 해당되는 것으로 이를 어길 경우 1년 이하의 징역 또는 1천만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다”는 회신을 보냈다. 시스템에어컨이란 건축물에 냉방 및 난방을 하기 위하여 건물의 냉∙난방 시스템을 건물에 설치하는 공조시스템으로 냉∙난방을 위한 에너지원으로 가스(LNG, LPG)를 사용하는 GHP(Gas Engine Heat Pump)와 전기를 에너지원으로 하는 EHP(Electric Heat Pump) 방식으로 구분된다. 시스템에어컨을 설치하기 위해서는 압축기에 해당하는 실외기를 건물 외부에 설치하고, 여러 가지 타입의 다수의 실내기를 실내에 설치한 후 냉매배관과 응축수 배관을 연결, 시공해야 한다. 따라서 이러한 공사는 건설산업기본법시행령 별표의 1의 기계설비공사업의 업무내용에 포함어 있다. 대한설비건설협회가 질의한 내용과 건교부의 회신 내용은 다음과 같다.

  • Apartments, which are typical residential spaces, are reconstructed or remodeled according to aging. However, reconstruction or remodeling of apartment complexes or an individual building requires following relevant laws and policies and requires a lot of time. Therefore, there are cases where apartment residents choose remodeling that improves the living environment by renovating only the interior of their household. In order to improve the interior space of an apartment, various materials such as windows, toilets, walls, and floors are replaced, and lots of matters must be considered in this process. Several problems arise in the process of selecting a remodeling company and carrying out construction, and the problem must be resolved through owner's decision-making. This study analyzes the problems through the case of apartment interior remodeling and suggests ways to improve them.

Daylighting Performance of Office Space Applied with Electrochromic Façade System (전기변색 외피시스템 적용 업무공간의 채광 성능 분석)

  • A smart window is a new building material that can realize energy savings in a building. Smart windows can freely adjust Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) and solar gain coefficient (g-value) according to the situation. Smart windows include such technologies as Electrochromic (EC), Suspended Particle Device (SPD), and Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC). Recent research on building energy savings through the VLT and g-value control functions of smart windows is being actively conducted and meaningful results are being drawn. However, since most of the research is focused on energy savings, research on the indoor environment is somewhat lacking. A building is a space where people live and the comfort of life should be prioritized before energy savings. Therefore, in this study, analysis on the daylight performance of an office space was carried out. Through green building standards such as LEED, BREEAM, CASBEE, and G-SEED, the daylight performance was reviewed according to VLT value changes of the smart window. In addition, a study was conducted on the VLT range of the electrochromic façade that can maintain a comfortable indoor environment. The smart window used electrochromic control with a wide range of VLT. The study showed that the minimum VLT of a smart window that can satisfy G-SEED is 25% or more. In addition, it was found that the VLT change of the electrochromic smart window did not significantly affect the uniformity of the room. When the LEED standard was applied, the minimum VLT value of the electrochromic smart window that must be maintained according to each orientation of the building was derived.

Experiment on Reduction of Pollutants in Titanium Dioxide Photocatalytic Ventilation System (이산화티탄 광촉매 환기장치의 오염물질 저감 실험)

  • In this study, titanium dioxide photocatalyst was applied to the ventilation system to reduce particulate matter and nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are representative indoor harmful substances. A reaction device capable of installing an ultraviolet lamp was designed and manufactured so that the pollutant decomposition effect of the titanium dioxide photocatalyst identified through previous studies could be applied indoors. The reaction device was used on the indoor ventilation system and applied to the Mock-Up test. As a result of the Mock-up test, the NOx reduction performance according to the change in air volume once per hour and five times per hour was confirmed. As a result, it was confirmed that as the number of ventilation increases, the NOx reduction time decreases proportionally, and the reduction performance increases.

  • Building information modeling (BIM) has the advantage of having been utilized for various scenarios through a single model. Although extracting 2D drawings from BIM is one of the advantages, there are many difficulties when utilized in practical work. Architectural detail drawings are an important factor for expressing interior finishing materials and complicated construction methods, as well as for cost estimations. However, creating detail drawings does not have a standard, and each design company establishes its own detail drawings, so it is hard to share or exchange information in the construction industry. Therefore, this study suggests a systemized method for making detail drawings, and explains how it can be utilized as back data for quantity take-off and construction expenses linked with BIM libraries.

  • "Eco-friendly construction" is an emerging issue in the building industry. Main purpose of the eco-friendly construction is to sustain the health and environment of building residents and to minimize the harmful effect on their environment. Apartment residents have great concern on eco-product, since many cases are reported that Sick Building Syndrome is caused by toxic substance from building materials. Environmental performance is to meet through using the highest grade eco-friendly materials. However, generally eco-friendly materials are more expensive than normal materials, Therefore, using eco-friendly materials at public housing project is limited to economical aspect. The purpose of this paper is development of eco-friendly material selection model considered cost efficiency. The selection of Eco-friendly finishing materials and their methods are constructed to consider environmental performance level and cost index compositively. Development of eco-friendly material selection method is economic and reasonable one when public housing is constructed.

Prediction of Reduction Rates of Daylight Illuminance for Blind Conditions in a Small Office (소규모 사무실의 블라인드 조건에 따른 주광조도 감소비율 예측)

  • This simulation based study analyzed the horizontal daylight distribution on the floor and ceiling of a small office space based on window orientations and interior window blind positions. South and north facing windows were each tested without window blinds and with window blinds at 45° and 180° (horizontal). The study showed that the illuminance value was highest 1m from the window. On the floor and ceiling, the difference in illuminance value was the greatest and least in December and June, respectively. The indoor illuminance value was highest when there was no window blind and under south-facing conditions. The greatest illuminance difference occurred between window blinds positioned at 45° and 180°. Under north-facing conditions, windows without blinds or with blinds at 45° had the least impact on indoor illuminance with illuminance being more evenly distributed.

  • Several researches have been done to estimate the earth pressure on a vertical circular shaft considering three dimensional arching effect and verified them by conducting model tests. However, any equation suggested so far is not applicable in case of multi-layered soils and/or C-${\phi}$ soils. In this study, new equation for estimating the earth pressure acting on the vertical shaft in c-${\phi}$ soils is proposed. A parametric study is performed to investigate the significance of the cohesion when estimating the coefficient of earth pressure in C-${\phi}$ soils and estimating earth pressures in vertical shafts. A method which can estimate the earth pressure on vertical shafts in layered soils is also proposed by assuming a failure surface in layered soils and using the modified equation. This paper is Part I of companion papers focusing on the theoretical aspect of model developments; the experimental verification will be made in Part II.
