Skin Architecture', which has been an important topic of architectural discourse in the recent past, is playing an even greater role in the design expression of architectural materials nowadays. The purpose of this study is to define the epidermal conception about material matter and to discover the various modes of visual effect in the use of architectural materials.Epidermal thought is expressed in different forms, ranging from a simple covering made up of materials of all kinds , removable or technological wrappings. Analyzing the recent experiments from the works of Bernard chumi, Herzog & de Meuron, Peter Zumthor, Gigon & Guyer , it can be argued that the skin is a good emotional approach in the design expression of architectural material matter as epidermal concept since the 1980's.

As ubiquitous technology(uT) is offered in the future space, human will find their life more convenient and prosperous, and the space efficiency will be improved with virtual displays within a limited space. In an living space with ubiquitous environments, all information of family members will be an essential source creating advanced future spaces both for users and for those maintaining the space. In recent studies of uT environment, development of scenario is mostly being carried out based on user and service. It is unsatisfactory, however, when it comes to the study of how these studies can be developed on the basis of architectural space. In this paper, we study about applying scenarios created through space analysis to suggest ways to predict the analysis of the relationship between digital devices/services and the building elements based on physical space with uT and to offer services smoothly to uT environment, intelligent devices and their users.

Recently, because of the rapid remarkable development of the digital media, contemporary society is continuously extending and changing over the limitation of the human recognition. But in the field of architectural form creation, a diagram used in the design process of the past is not enough to reflect a complication, contingent and multiple quality of these contemporary society. So, to reveal the rhizomorphous and non-hierarchial qualify of the contemporary digital network society, architecture became necessary to use the diagram with digital media which have various possibilities to present architect's abstract images that the diagram of the past couldn't do. Therefore, this study proposes that the process for creating architectural form with the digital diagram be a alternative to conquest the limits of contemporary architecture, so it present the complicate and contingent quality of contemporary society. Furthermore, it examines the quality and possibility of the diagram by understanding the creation and transformation of the digital diagram, and how to apply to the actual architecture process of the creating form.

This study started from the premise that the future elementary school should be designed based on ecological approach in order to restore the emotionality of children. This study aimed at providing a guideline for designing the interior of elementary schools based on ecological approach. Through literature review, the characteristics of ecological architecture and the regulations for green buildings were explored. Also 7 elementary schools which were evaluated as good school design through renowned books representing the ecological characteristics were chosen and analyzed. The results revealed that the school design included natural lighting by roof lighting, natural ventilation, greening, and use of natural materials. This study suggested three categories as a the guideline for the interior space of eco-school design; energy efficiency, greening and sustainability, which included natural lighting, natural ventilation, heating and cooling, planting, materials and water recycling.

The purpose of this study is to examine the work scope of architects who work for Alessi and their application of design elements in various fields of design. Urban Design, Architectural Design and interior design are interrelated. Thus the designers should have various design experiences for expanding their knowledge of their specialty. These experiences can help not only the university students who will be designers in the future get creative concept, but also architects and interior designers develop their abilities to look at design. As a result, their society competitiveness can be increased. For this reason, this study selects eleven architects who participated in Tea & Coffee set project of Alessi. This study researches how their design elements apply to various design areas and investigates architects's activities not only in their major fields, but also in other design fields. The result of this study is that architects participates in all design fields, except automobile design which is not related to architecture. Especially, among various design areas, architects are likely to participate in architectural design, interior design, and furniture design Contrary to this, they hardly participate in bathroom. Also, one design element applies to various design areas, such as construction, furniture, accessories, and so on.

This study investigated and compared regional features of Aalto's buildings and Gaudi's on the assumption that their designs are based on the regional backgrounds. For it, two churches of each one we selected and analyzed about five divided spaces like disposition, the exterior, plan, structure and introduction and use of the sunlight. As result of analysis, following conclusions are induced: first, Aalto's church design and Gaudi's we similar in which they reflected the thought of regionalistic design. Nevertheless they are deferred in which Aalto accepted the international functionalism but Gaudi rejected it due to his deep belief. Second, they followed the tradition of the regional architecture. Third, both of them took in consideration the nature, but due to the difference of the contexts they are deferred in its use. Finally, both gave importance to the sunlight. But Aalto is from the country where lacks the light while Gaudi is from the country where abounds the light, so its use is different. This investigation shows several possibilities of design under the influence of its regional culture, which gets more important in this century.

In contemporary architecture, a tendency of architectural expressions is very various aspects, therefore this study is searched about how to express the works of Richard Meier, the background of his growth, his architectural thoughts and etc. Especially the meanings of 'white architecture' have contained, which was presented on the relationships of nature, light, purity and completeness. Lucid and complex, refined yet robust, rational and poetic, richard Meier's architecture has a timeless quality. for over three decades, he has steered an unwavering course through the shoals and cross currents of architectural fashion, creating a secession of serene white houses museums, public and commercial buildings. from Getty Center, his architectural genius came into the world agaiv. With has architectures, this study tries to read the streams of direction on Richard Meier and contemporary architecture.

Interactive space became one of the modern contemporary society design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need Interactive design development which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. Digital technology is resulted in a change to a society as well as to the life of human and its way of communication. This study is inquiry into the relations and the common characteristics between ecological architecture space and eco-centric environmental philosophy by making a comparative research. This aims to examine type of spatial contexts for performed through literature research for theory by interactive space and case studies for ecological construction elements to design. And the range of case study is limited to interaction space in addition of interactive elements and user interface. And analysis conclusion is show the many type. Five principles that draw at ecological design conceptualization process, whole unity, variety of organic at ecological design conceptualization process, circularity, homeostasis, allness, biological evolution, diversity have involved with concept that presents in ecological esthetics and organic property of ecology-system.

We intend to illustrate how contemporary architects have conceptualized spaces with words. The purpose of this study is for understanding how contemporary japanese architects embody through special conception when day design the mixed wooden construction and for looking for the possibility of the development of it. As a result the mixed wooden construction candy understood as an expression form how an architects things about relationship between parts and parts, parts and the whole and the character of materials that consist it and such relationship is determined by the requirement of space.

The purpose of this study is to show the implications of the term "digital architecture," which are realized in the current architecture. To do this, I first observe its theoretical background and then analyze the works of Marcos Novak, Kas Oosterhuis, and Lars Spuybroek, all of whom are called the typical digital architects. In particular, this study tries to show that the digital architects are introducing the non-Euclidean multi-dimensions and the cyberspace and applying the notions of liquid architecture, transarchitecture, body-building, and body-building, and body-motorized system into their works. Finally, I conclude that the digital architecture anticipates the direction of the future architecture, in which the virtual world is merged with the real world, the digital space is realized in the real space, and the human is completely harmonized with nature.th nature.
