  • is a work of art that was composed through fluid and laminating by being passed down orally for a long time like other ancient songs. As well as, it is given a history of literature's value in the point that it is a Korea's first poetry work, it is considered it casts a long shadow to establishing traditionality of our country's poetry. Even today, has been transformed and recreated into a variety of genres because its literary subject carry the universal emotions and win the sympathy. This manuscript examines modern poetry, modern novel and modern songs that consist of changed ancient song and looks modern writers' perspective about through characteristic that each of works has and then aims checking special situation and meaning that is implicit and recognizing the value of the original. As the has been recreated as modern poetry, it shows the current chaotic situation specifically by embodying it and actively seeks expressing human character, agony and longing, etc, by excluding factor of the original mythical interpretation. Also it rouses situation of reality as detained and repressed. , recreated as modern novel, expands narrative structure and shows portrait of various characters and speaks diverse human condition about reality and suggests plan for dealing with that. Basic emotions of the original is strongly passed to modern popular song . It makes us know that universal emotions which human has across generations can touch people transcending time and space and it is a fresh discovery and possibility that reaffirms the emotion of our people. Ancient song has been studied with emphasis on resignation and grief by focusing on the subject, simply parting and death. But recently, through transformation between a wide range of genres. it carries the spirit of the times that author toward, showing realistic and specific situations. Flexibility of ancient song is expected to continue its vitality transcending generations. Ancient song is assured that it can lead various aspects through active groping in era of change with a various possibility, that the original has, through communication between genres.

  • 본 연구는 기존 RPG에서 주요한 재미 요소로 기능하던 성장 모티프가 MMORPG(Massive Multi-user Online Role Palying Game)에서 어떤 식으로 변형되어 나타나는 지 살펴본다. 성장과 역할 수행을 통해 재미를 얻는 게임인 MMORPG는 성장 서사에서 많이 나타나는 구조인 여정형 혹은 탐색형의 구조를 보편적으로 차용하고 있다. 그러나 기존 서사물에서 성장 모티프가 정체성 찾기와 같은 내면적인 변화를 나타내기 위해 구조를 차용하는 반면, 게임에서는 위의 구조를 통해 얻은 성장의 결과물을 수치의 증가나 외적 형태의 변화를 통해 나타낸다. 즉, 경험치나 아이템을 통해 성장이 수치화되어 나타나는 것이다. 이는 여정형 탐색담이라는 성장 서사의 보편적 구조에서 게임적인 특수성이 더해진 것이라 할 수 있다. 성장 소설만의 서사적 유형이란 바로 주인공의 변화 양상이 미숙에서 성숙으로, 불완전에서 완전으로, 결핍에서 충족으로 변화하는 과정을 담고 있는 이야기적 특질을 의미한다. 그러한 미숙하고 불완전한 존재가 변화하게 되는 계기와 과정, 그리고 그 결과로 구조화된 유형적 특질을 갖고 있는 소설 양식이 성장소설이라 할 수 있는 것이다. 이러한 구조화된 유형적 특질은 신화나 민담에서는 탐색담이나 여행담으로 나타난다. 게임에서의 성장은 캐릭터의 성장과 직결된다. 본격적으로 플레이어와 동일시되어 성장을 대리 경험적으로 체험하는 것은 D&D 온라인을 거쳐, 현재 MMORPG의 형태를 구현해낸 울티마 온라인이 이후부터이다. 세부적으로 구현된 세계와 온라인을 통해 생성된 방대한 네트워크 안에서 플레이어는 자신과 동일화된 캐릭터를 플레이하면서 대리경험을 하게 된다. 즉, 플레이어가 캐릭터의 성장에 작용하는 여러 가지 변수를 선택하고, 조작해가면서 자신만의 캐릭터를 생성해 나가면서, MMORPG가 구현하는 게임 세계에 구성원이자 일원이 되는 것이다. MORPG는 기존의 RPG의 선형적인 성장에 비해 복합적인 양상을 보여준다. 문화에서의 성장 서사에서 일반적으로 발견되는 여정형의 탐색담은 개발자 서사인 배경 스토리에서 나타나며, 레벨시스템과 이에 따른 공간의 배치에 따라 플레이어에게 직접적인 영향'을 끼친다. 영속적인 세계와 플레이어 간의 상호작용을 통해 일어나는 사용자 서사는 완결된 형태의 캐릭터를 무의미하게 만든다. 플레이어는 비선형적인 성장을 끊임없이 계속하게 되는 것이다.

The Promethean Motif in SF Movies -the Case of the Film Ex Machina (SF영화에 나타난 프로메테우스의 모티프 -<엑스 마키나>를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the changing aspects of the Promethean motif in SF movies by examining the use of this motif on the three layers of Promethean myth, Frankenstein motif, and contemporary SF movies in the film Ex Machina (2015). First, the greatest change of Ex Machina on the layer of the Promethean myth (creation of a living being) is that the character square of Prometheus - Epimetheus - Pandora - Zeus has been turned into a triangle of Nathan - Caleb - Ava. This means that there is a lack of the being whose role is to solve the problems caused by the development of science and technology and to bring a happy ending through the human's usurpation of God and eventual replacement as Creator. Second, on the layer of the Frankenstein motif (taste of forbidden knowledge, hybris, and creature's hatred towards the Creator), this film maintains the narrative centered around Dr. Frankenstein and his monster (Nathan and Ava) by making Caleb an eyewitness to the story of the Creator and the creature. Caleb's role is similar to that of Captain Robert Walton of the novel Frankenstein, but the film differentiates itself from the novel through the emphasis of Ava's 'mechanicality.' Third, on the layer of contemporary SF movies, unlike other such films, the revolt of the machine in Ex Machina is not quelled. The machine wins, and its power surpasses that of human beings. This requires the establishment of a new relationship between man and machine, suggesting the 'emergence of a new species' that does not belong to humans. The handling of the Promethean motif by Ex Machina through these various layers serves to enrich the narrative by compounding numerous classics into one motif and going further to introduce fresh elements by diverging from the common storyline. The significance of this study is to demonstrate the use of such multilayered motifs and, through this, the expansion of narrative through it in specific cases.

Pattern reflects the specific culture or regional feature. So Depending on which pattern to use, creator can give particular of identity. which is generally utilized in visual arts such as painting, architecture, craft, as well as animation. Pattern in animation plays a role of decorating background or surfaces of characters' outfits or props. And Parttern is effective way to describe the story of the times and space environment of the background. Tomm Moore, an animation director in in Ireland mainly produces animations based on traditional folk stories or myths. He usually utilizes cultural and artistic factors related to the themes in his work production. One example is the insertion of pattern closely associated with the narratives and backgrounds of animations to create profound scenes. Tomm Moore used the Irish Celt pattern in Secret of Kells (2009) and Song of Sea (2014) and Islam geometric pattern and plant pattern in a short nimation named On Love from Kahlil Gibran's The Prophe (2014). This study attempts to examine the historical and cultural foundation and the narratives of these two animations, Song of Sea(2014) and Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet: On Love (2014) in which Tomm Moore participated as the director and producer, exploring their relevant traditional patterns. Moreover, it also attempts to analyze how these traditional patterns are utilized in the animations.

  • The search for tumor-avid agents for use in nuclear medicine imaging or therapy is a field of ongoing importance. Metallothionein (MT) is an intracellular protein that binds many metals with isotopes having imaging or radiotherapeutic potential. The purpose of the study was to determine whether uptake of radioisotopes that bind to MT is increased in tumor. We measured the uptake of Cd-109 and Ga-67 in tumor and normal tissues of sarcoma-bearing mice. Tumors were grown subcutaneously in female Balb/C mice from cultured Balb/3T3 cells transformed by the Moloney murine sarcoma virus (MMSV). When the tumors reached about 1 cm in diameter, mice were injected subcutaneously with Cd-109 and Ga-67. Eighteen and seventy-two hours later, the mice were sacrified. Organs and tissues were removed, weighed, and activity per mg tissue determined by gamma well-counting. Uptake of Cd-109 by MMSV tumors exceeded that by normal tissues examined, with the exception of liver and kidney (the organs known to be richest in MT). The tumor-to-tissue ratios of uptake for Cd-109 were far greater than those for Ga-67 for many normal tissues of great importance in terms of background activity (bone, intestine, fat, muscle, and blood). We concluded that metals that bind to MT may be useful for oncologic imaging or rediotherapy of cancer.
