In this paper, an ASIC emulation system called ACE (ASIC Emulator) is proposed. It can produce the prototype of target ASIC in a short time and verify the function of ASIC circuit immediately The ACE is consist of emulation software in which there are EDIF reader, library translator, technology mapper, circuit partitioner and LDF generator and emulation hardware including emulation board and logic analyzer. Technology mapping is consist of three steps such as circuit partitioning and extraction of logic function, minimization of logic function and grouping of logic function. During those procedures, the number of basic logic blocks and maximum levels are minimized by making the output to be assigned in a same block sharing product-terms and input variables as much as possible. Circuit partitioner obtain chip-level netlists satisfying some constraints on routing structure of emulation board as well as the architecture of FPGA chip. A new partitioning algorithm whose objective function is the minimization of the number of interconnections among FPGA chips and among group of FPGA chips is proposed. The routing structure of emulation board take the advantage of complete graph and partial crossbar structure in order to minimize the interconnection delay between FPGA chips regardless of circuit size. logic analyzer display the waveform of probing signal on PC monitor that is designated by user. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed emulation system, video Quad-splitter, one of the commercial ASIC, is implemented on the emulation board. Experimental results show that it is operated in the real time of 14.3MHz and functioned perfectly.
Curling sweeping is one of important motion to control the position of the curling stone, and sweeping speed and applied force to the broom pad are major research subjects. In this study, a device was developed to measure the force applied to the curling broom pad in curling sweeping motion, and two load cells were mounted between the broom pad and pad holder. Analog signals generated from the load cells were sampled about 300 times per second using a micro controller, and then converted to 10-bit digital signals. Calibration of the load cell and set up of regression equations to convert the measured electrical signals into mass (force) was done by three M1 class weights, and the developed system was designed as wearable device to minimize increasing of total weight of the broom. Same force was applied to the developed system and a force plate that was using as a reference force measurement system in field of sports, and the difference between the measured values were showed about $0.909{\pm}1.375N$(mean and standard deviation). The developed system could be applied other kinds of study which required force measurement function similar to sweeping motion.
Purpose: Dopamine is a neurotransmitter, but in the GIT, the roles of dopamine are a regulator of epithelial cell proliferation, an endogenous protective factor, and a regulator of stomach cancer cell proliferation. By using two different gastric-cancer cell lines, we assessed the effects of dopamine and dopamine receptors on the proliferation of human gastric-cancer cells. Materials and Methods: To assess the effects of dopamine and dopamine receptors on the proliferation of human gastric-cancer cells, we investigated cell proliferation and the expression of D1, D2L, and D2S receptor in two gastric-cancer cell lines, SNU 601 and KCU-C2. The effects of dopamine and dopamine receptors on the level of the cell proliferation were determined by staining with an A/H/E (acridine orange, hoechst and ethidium bromide) mixture. Results: After dopamine treatment, the cell viability was significantly decreased in SNU 601 cells (P<0.05) where the D2L receptor was absent, but not in KCU-C2 cells. After treatment with raclopride, a D2 receptor antagonist, dopamine-dose-dependent inhibition of cell proliferation was observed in SNU 601 cells (P<0.05). After treatment with SCH 23390, a D1 receptor antagonist, dopamine significantly increased ceil proliferation in KCU-C2 cells (P<0.05), but inhibited ceil proliferation in SNU 601 cells (no D2L receptor). Conclusion: The dopamine signal via the D1 or the D2S receptor inhibited proliferation of gastric-cancer cells, but that via the D2L receptor increased proliferation. These results suggest that the regulatory effects of dopamine in the gastric-cancer cell proliferation may be controlled by using dopamine receptors.
Recently, for the advancement of embedded technology about mobile device, a new kind of service, mash-up is appeared. It is service or application combining multimedia content making tool or device and web-GIS(geographic information system) service in the mobile environment. This service can be ease to use for casual user and can apply in various ways. So, It is served in web 2.0 environment actively. But, in the mashup service, because generated multimedia contents linked with web map are new type of multimedia contents which include user's migration routes in the space such as GPS coordinates. Thus, there are no protection ways for intellectual property created by GIS web-map service users and user's privacy. In this paper, we proposed a location and user information hiding scheme for GIS web-map service. This scheme embeds location and user information into a picture that is taken by camera module on the mobile phone. It is not only protecting way for user's privacy but is also tracing way against illegal photographer who is peeping person through hidden camera. And than, we also realized proposed scheme on the mobile smart phone. For minimizing margin of error about location coordinate value against contents manipulating attacks, GPS information is embedded into chrominance signal of contents considering weight of each digit about binary type of GPS coordinate value. And for tracing illegal photographer, user information such as serial number of mobile phone, phone number and photographing date is embedded into frequency spectrum of contents luminance signal. In the experimental results, we confirmed that the error of extracted information against various image processing attacks is within reliable tolerance. And after file format translation attack, we extracted embedded information from the attacked contents without no damage. Using similarity between extracted one and original templete, we also extracted whole information from damaged chrominance signal of contents by various image processing attacks.

Using a discrete wavenumber method, we examine the effects on Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) logs when a mismatch exists between the amplitudes or generating times of the signals from individual monopoles in a LWD multipole source. An amplitude-mismatched LWD dipole/quadrupole source produces non-dipole/non-quadrupole modes as well as flexural and screw modes. The strongest of non-dipole/non-quadrupole modes is the Stoneley mode, whose amplitude increases with increasing mismatch. However, we can recover the flexural mode signals by A-C processing, and the screw mode by A-B+C-D processing, respectively. The Stoneley mode, which has the same amplitude at the same radial distance from the borehole axis, is cancelled out by A-C and A-B+C-D processing as long as the tool is placed at the centre of the borehole. The responses from a time-mismatched LWD multipole source look like the summation of responses by two or four monopole sources off the borehole axis. However, we can avoid the misinterpretation of the formation velocities by referring to the computed dispersion curves, which are independent of the arrival times of the modes, on the frequency semblance plot.
Resveratrol, a kind of phytochemical, is presented in grape skins. Resveratorl exerts antiproliferative, anti-cancer and pro-apoptotic activities in cancer cells. Mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a critical regulator of cellular growth and proliferation, and it is known to be a strategic target for anti-cancer therapeutic uses. mTOR is a major downstream of the PI3K/Akt pathway, which is activated in various cancer cells. It also plays an important role in the survival, proliferation and angiogenesis of cells. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) is an important protein that mediates inflammatory processes. It plays an important role in various tumors by affecting cell proliferation, mitosis, apoptosis and angiogenesis. In this study, we have investigated the effects of resveratrol on apoptosis through mTOR and COX-2 expression in MCF-7 breast cancer cells. The treatment of resveratrol with different concentrations inhibited proliferation of MCF-7. The data showed that resveratrol induced apoptotic cell death of cancer cells and decreased mTOR and COX-2 expression. These results suggest that resveratrol induces apoptosis of MCF-7 breast cancer cells by inhibiting mTOR and COX-2 expression.

As long span and complex bridges are constructed often recently, safety estimation became a big issue. Various types of measuring instruments are installed in case of long span bridge. New wireless technologies for long span bridges such as sending information through a gateway at the field or sending it through cables by signal processing the sensing data are applied these days. However, The case of occurred accidents related to bridge in the world have been reported that serious accidents occur due to lack of real-time proactive, intelligent action based on recognition accidents. To solve this problem in this study, the idea of "communication among things", which is the basic method of RFID/USN technology, is applied to the bridge monitoring system. A sensor node module for USN based intelligent bridge system in which sensor are utilized on the bridge and communicates interactively to prevent accidents when it captures the alert signals and urgent events, sends RF wireless signal to the nearest traffic signal to block the traffic and prevent massive accidents, is designed and tested by performing TinyOS based middleware design and sensor test free Space trans-receiving distance.
With explosively growing PPI databases, the computational approach for a prediction and configuration of PPI network has been a big stream in the bioinformatics area. Recent researches gradually consider physicochemical properties of proteins and support high resolution results with integration of experimental results. With regard to current research trend, it is very close future to complete a PPI network configuration of each organism. However, direct applying the PPI network to real field is complicated problem because PPI network is only a set of co-expressive proteins or gene products, and its network link means simple physical binding rather than in-depth knowledge of biological process. In this paper, we suggest a protein functional flow model which is a directed network based on a protein functions' relation of signaling transduction pathway. The vertex of the suggested model is a molecular function annotated by gene ontology, and the relations among the vertex are considered as edges. Thus, it is easy to trace a specific function's transition, and it can be a constraint to extract a meaningful sub-path from whole PPI network. To evaluate the model, 11 functional flow models of Homo sapiens were built from KEGG, and Cronbach's alpha values were measured (alpha=0.67). Among 1023 functional flows, 765 functional flows showed 0.6 or higher alpha values.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the applicability of the shear wave tomography technology as a non-destructive testing method to evaluate the debonding between the track concrete layer (TCL) and the hydraulically stabilized based course (HSB) of concrete slab tracks for the Korea high-speed railway system. A commercially available multi-channel shear wave measurement device (MIRA) is used to evaluate debonding defects in full-scaled mock-up test specimen that was designed and constructed according to the Rheda 200 system. A part of the mock-up specimen includes two artificial debonding defects with a length and a width of 400mm and thicknesses of 5mm and 10mm, respectively. The tomography images obtained by a MIRA on the surface of the concrete specimens are effective for visualizing the debonding defects in concrete. In this study, a simple image processing method is proposed to suppress the noisy signals reflected from the embedded items (reinforcing steel, precast sleeper, insert, etc.) in TCL, which significantly improves the readability of debonding defects in shear wave tomography images. Results show that debonding maps constructed in this study are effective for visualizing the spatial distribution and the depths of the debondiing defects in the railway concrete slab specimen.
