A Debonding Detection Technique for FRP/Rubber Interface by Ultrasonic Phase Reversal (초음파 위상 반전에 의한 FRP/고무 접착 계면의 미접착 결함 검출 연구)

  • The object of this study is to develop new examination technique for detecting debond in adhesive interface of different kinds of materials. Ultrasonic signal was modeled by theoretically analyzing ultrasonic propagation phenomenon of the adhesive interface and debonding interface. The test method using the phase reversal of the debonding interface applied to the FRP/Rubber test block. Aluminum/Rubber test block with the flat bottom hole was manufactured to evaluate quantitatively the minimum detection ability of defects. The pulse echo reflection method and the phase reversal method were mutually compared and it was estimated that the phase reversal method could detect the debond on the basis of the theoretically predicted ultrasonic signal and ultrasonic test data.

Determination of the Required Minimum Spacing between Signalized Intersections and Bus-Bays (신호교차로와 버스정류장간 이격거리 산정에 관한 연구)

  • The influence of bus stops near signalized intersections is one of the important factors which cannot be negligible in the analysis of the capacity of signalized intersections. Absence of consideration of bus bay can reduce capacity and increase the time that the stop of buses block other traveling vehicles. This influence is reflected by the bus blockage adjustment factor in KHCM, but the factor does not consider the course of each bus passing the intersection. Particularly, left turn buses have more influence on the capacity than the other buses and require the minimum length of the road for lane changes. All the existing criteria can apply only to arterial roads on which mostly traffic flows are continuous. And the criteria. which can determine the optimum location and the minimum distance between a signalized intersection and a bus bay, is not prepared and the related study is insufficient. Therefore, a theoretical formula is derived in this study being based on the theories which are avaliable to apply to the situation of signalized intersections.

초광대역전송선형 FM 변별기에 관한 연구

  • 본논문은 단종된 전송선과 개방된 전송선 및 2개의 결합저항기로 구성된 초광대역전송선형 FM변별기의 동적인 해석(dynamic analysis)을 취급하였다. 변별기의 출력파형의 Harmonic Distortion과 입력신호의 최대허용주파수변위와의 제관계를 Fourier transfrom으로 상세하게 해석하였다. 결합저항계수r(Fig 1 참조)는 변별기의 감도와 입력신호의 전주파수변위에 걸쳐 입력 Impedance가 일정하다는 견지에서 일로 놓아야 된다는 것이 판명되었다. 이론상으로는 100%의 주파수변위를 가진 FM신호라도 본변별기로 불과 2.6% Harmonic distortion으로 검파할 수 있으며 또한 검파시에 변별기의 입력 Impedance는 전종선의 특성 Impedance Z0로 일정하게 유지된다. 이론적인 결과를 뒷받침하기 위하여 실험결과를 첨부하였다. 본실험에서는 변별기의 특성곡선이 중심주파수 85.5Mc를 중심으로 40%의 주파수변위에 대하여 Linear하며, 또한 이때의 변별기의 입력 Impedance의 변화율은 이상치 Z0의 ±14% 이내이다.

  • In this paper, symbol error probability (SEP) of typical 3-dimensional (3-D) signal constellations in Rayleigh fading channel is derived. Simulation confirms that average SEP of the constellations is very accurate. Thus, the theoretical SEP derived can be exploited as a performance reference for future development of wireless communication systems with 3-D constellations.

  • A new type of digital echo canceler for two-wire digital transmission is presented. The new principle estimates an echo signal by use of the arithmetic means estimate for each transmitted data pattern, which leads to relatively simple hardware. The principle is compared with adaptive digital filter methods through theoretical analysis and computer simulation. The results show that the proposed method has fast convergence property with respect to its hardware simplicity and that the convergence time is independent of echo level. Quantization effects are also analyzed.

Applications and analysis on the subband nonlinear adaptive Volterra filter (부대역 비선형 Volterra 적응필터의 응용과 성능분석)

  • In this paper, the subband nonlinear adaptive Volterra filters are introduced and its analysis are presented. From the eigenvalue analysis of the input correlation matrix, we show that the proposed subband adaptive Volterra filter has superior convergence performance as compared to the conventional one, which shows that the it can be useful for the recently proposed subband nonlinear adaptive echo canceller. Also, the optimum filter in each subband are introduced and verified from the computer simulations.

  • In this paper, we propose a digitally implementable synchronization method for the UWB system. This is achieved by manipulating the frequency components of a synchronizing signal which is the sequence of pulses of periodicity. We analyze the dependancy of the number of pulses and pulse interval on the intrinsic synchronization accuracy. Moreover, through the computer simulation, the performance of the proposed method is examined via varying system parameters.

  • 본 논문에서는 위치 센서에 의존하지 않는 매입형 영구자석 전동기의 센서리스 구동 시 전압 왜곡으로 인해 나타나는 위치 추정 오차를 이론적으로 분석하고자 한다. 특히, 추정 d축에 맥동하는 구형파 전압을 주입하는 방법에서 주입하는 신호의 주파수에 따라 위치 추정 성능이 달라지는 현상에 초점을 맞춘다. 무부하에서 스위칭 주파수의 신호를 주입할 때 전압 왜곡은 on/off sequence에서 서로 반대의 위상을 갖는 역상분 2고조파의 형태로 나타나며, 위치 추정 오차는 3고조파의 형태로 나타난다. 반면, 반스위칭 주파수의 신호를 주입하는 경우에는 샘플링 주기 동안 주입 전압 왜곡의 효과가 상쇄되기 때문에 인덕턴스의 영향만이 주로 고려되어 위치 추정 오차가 6고조파의 형태로 나타난다. 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 이론적 분석의 타당성을 검증하였다.

Analysis of Cross-Phase Modulation using a periodic signal in a Single-Mode Fiber (주기적 신호를 이용한 단일모드 광섬유의 상호 위상변조 해석)

  • The pump-probe scheme is used to analyze the cross-phase modulation penalty of a single-mode fiber in a WDM system. The pump signal is assumed to be a periodically modulated input like a raised sinusoidal. The periodic signal models an alternating bit sequence, and leads to an analytical expression of CPM penalty which is measured by EOP. The derived expression shows good agreement with numerical results in conventional single-mode fiber systems over a wide range of channel spacing, ${\Delta}f$. In dispersion-shifted fiber systems when ${\Delta}f$ < 100GHz, the derived expression shows increased discrepancy with the numerical results due to the increased FWM. This is not a surprising because the pump-probe scheme is used to analyze system performance degradation due to CPM.

  • 웨이브릿 해석에서 CWT(continuous wavelet transform)에서는 Plancherel 형태의 복원 정리가 성립하고, 웨이브릿 급수는 frame 이론과 다해상도 이론(multiresolution analysis)을 활용한 이산복원정리가 성립한다. 복원정리가 만들어짐에 따라 이에 상응하는 웨이브릿이 생성되는데, CWT에서는 허용조건(admissibility condition)을 만족하는 basic wavelet이고, 웨이브릿 급수에서는 MRA를 이용한 Daubechies 웨이브릿, frame 이론을 이용한 Meyer 웨이브릿 등을 생각할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 CWT에서 사용한 허용조건을 자연스럽게 확장함으로써 기존의 것보다 간편하고 활용도가 우수한 이산복원정리를 발견하고, 이에 상응하는 보다 만들기 쉬운 새로운 형태의 L1 웨이브릿군을 개발함을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에 개발한 새로운 웨이브릿을 사용하여 시간-주파수에서의 신호 복원 및 분석에 응용한다.
