For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlations, and path analysis of measurement variables were carried out using SPSS 25.0. According to the analysis, first, multicultural youth's body satisfaction has a positive effect on academic adaptation, and second, self-esteem is completely mediated in the relationship between body satisfaction and academic adaptation. Third, the relationship between multicultural youth's body satisfaction and academic adaptation has been partially mediated. This study examined the physical self-concept and self-efficacy of undergraduates. Using the convenience sampling method of non-provability sampling, a total of 377 undergraduates from North Kyongsang Province G city were selected. Of the 377 completed questionnairescollected, a total of 354 surveys with structural equation modeling were analyzed using theSPSS 22.0 statistics program. The self-esteem, endurance, health, and flexibility factors have positive effects on improvingthe self-control efficacy factor of self-efficacy in the order of physical self-concept factors. On the other hand, the higher university students perceive that among the physical self-concepts, the physical activity factor had more negative effects on the self-regulated efficacy. The self-esteem, health, and muscle strength have positive effects on improvingthe confidence factor of self-efficacy in the order of physical self-concept factors. The more perceptive endurance than the appearance, sports competence, body fat, health, self-esteem, flexibility, muscle strength of physical self-concept, and the more influence on self-efficacy. Overall, the higher the perception of physical activity factors among the physical self-concept factors, the more negative effects on the task difficult preference.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the mediating effects of self-image on the relationship between experience of discrimination and self-esteem among the elderly in Korea. Furthermore, it is to explore whether these effects are moderated by social and economic activity participation. Data were collected from a cross-sectional survey of 543 community-dwelling Korean older adults (age≥65) drawn from community and senior centers in the mid-size city in Korea. The statistical analysis was performed by a structural equation modeling using LISREL statistical program. The results are fourfold. First, experiences of discrimination exerted the negative effects on physical, dispositional, and competent self-images of the elderly. Second, dispositional and competent self-image brought down by discriminative experiences lowered the levels of self-esteem. Third, social activity participation moderated the negative effects of discrimination experiences on physical and dispositional self-images. It also moderated the effects of dispositional self-image on self-esteem. Fourth, economic activity participation did not show moderating effects on the relationship between experience of discrimination and self-images. Meanwhile, it moderated the effect of competent self-image on self-esteem. These results demonstrate that to improve self-esteem of the elderly population, social welfare policies should make effort to reduce discrimination toward the elderly. Furthermore, social welfare organizations should also try to implement diverse community based programs geared for enhancing social and economic activities for elderly. Limitations and directions for future research are also discussed.

The data were collected from 360 high school students in Gyeongbuk region. The respondents who have performed diet in the past or present were classified into the diet group. The students of diet group and non-diet group were 238 and 122, respectively. Frequencies, Cronbach's $\alpha$, t tests, and logistic regression analysis were carried out by SPSS Windows V.17.0. The results of this study were as follows. The diet group had higher level of BMI and concerns about diet than non-diet group. In addition, the diet group showed the more positive attitude about diet, and lower level of self-esteem and body image than the non-diet group. The diet group was more influenced by parents, peers, and mass media on body type than the non-diet group. Finally, according to the result of logistic regression analysis, BMI, attitude about diet, body image, effect of peers on body type, and effect of mass media on body type were significant factors to determine dieting behavior. These results imply that mass media should inform adolescents of proper body image and knowledge about diet. In addition, education for regular exercise also needs for healthy diet.
