The purpose of this study is to provide some ideas for the improvement of the seafarers physical examination systems(PES) in Korea. This paper presents basic data about the items and detailed standards of the seafarers PES which are currently carried out worldwide. In this paper, a comparative analysis of the domestic and the foreign seafarers PES is conducted. In addition, rule of judgment in the railroad workers PES in Korea has been examined for reference. The paper proposes the amended and supplemented 16 items and detailed standards of the seafarers PES. Expert opinions of Occupational and Environmental Medicine specialist and the recommendations of ILO/WHO are also considered to draw an improvement scheme for the seafarers PES in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the improvement for physical examination system. In this paper, we perform a comparative analysis of domestic and foreign physical examination systems for seafare's. In order to Reinforce the objectivity We also compare rule of judgement about physical examination system of railroad workers and foreign seaman. Then we consult expert opinions of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Through the comparative analysis, we provide useful information that is needed to amend the physical examination system.

지난 6월 30일까지 각 시ㆍ도 초등학교는 교육법 학교신체검사규칙에 따라 신체검사를 실시했다. 구강검사는 신체검사 중 체질검사에 속하는 것으로서 초등학교에서 실시하는 구강보건사업 중의 하나다. 현재 학교구강보건사업으로는 구강검사 외에도 불소용액양치사업과 구강보건교육 등이 있으나 많은 관계자들은 학교에서 실시하는 구강보건사업에 어려움을 호소하고 있다. 이에 초등학교에서 실시하는 구강보건사업의 현황과 함께 문제점과 대책에 대해 살펴본다.

골절이 아닌 정형외과적인 질환을 진단하는 것은 임상적으로 접근 할 때 쉽지 않은 부분이 아니라고 할 수 없다. 특히 일상 증상이 몇 주 이상 보이게 되는 경우에 초기 신체 검사에서 그 증상을 확인하지 못한다면 진단에 더욱 어려움을 갖게 된다. 이에 대해 초기 신체검사에서 이상을 확인하는 방법에 대해 고찰해보도록하겠다.

The purpose of this study was to compare the physical and psychological functioning by sex, weight and age in Judo athletes. The 124 participants; high school students, college students, and team players. They used physical tests to measure physical examinations by self-describing Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score test, Foot and Ankle Outcome Score test, and Oswestry Disability Index, and psychological tests such as Profile of Mood Test, Athletes' Self-Management Questionnaire, and The Athletic Coping Skills Inventory-28, to examine the effects of physical and psychological functions of sports athletes. The physical tests of sex showed differences in knee and back, psychological tests of sex showed differences in mood state, self-management, and athletic coping skills. As a result of physical examination by weight, there was a difference in knee pain and sports items, psychological tests showed that there was a significant difference in mood state except for vitality. Physical examination by age showed differences in knee, ankle, and back. As a result of age-based psychological test, mood state test showed difference in all items except tension and vitality. There was a significant difference only in the items of physical management in self-management test. The results of this study are expected to be used as a basic data for sports injury training and medical technology development by sex, weight and age of Judo athletes.

This study aims to the effectiveness of physical examination using VR contents to solve problems such as the increase in chronic diseases and shortage of professional manpower in the health care field according to the aging and low birth rate, and to provide efficient healthcare. Therefore, this study implemented a one-stop VR content physical examination system by wearing HTC VIVE Pro VR and a stick controller. The system is from step 1 to step 5, and the final body age is determined and a simple solution is provided through five steps sequentially: color blind test, memory test, audiogram test, reaction speed test, and instantaneous cognitive ability test. In addition, for the one-stop VR content physical examination system developed by this study, as a result of verifying the user satisfaction for normal people who visited the health examination center and VR/AR clinical trial center of certified tertiary hospital in Daejeon, the overall satisfaction and the intention to reuse Was high, and according to gender, there was a significant difference in the 5-step test, and according to the age, there were significant differences in the 4-step test and the 5-step test.

Purpose : Numerous methods exist for diagnosing nonpalpable testis in treatment of cryptochidism. However, there is no clinically established data for the rational diagnostic tool of nonpalpable testis in terms of expenses. We tried to establish a current conventional diagnostic course of nonpalpable testis. We then evaluated the efficacy of ultrasonography, physical examination under general anesthesia and laparoscopy for diagnosing nonpalpable testis. Methods : Between March 2000 and February 2005, 103 boys(129 testes) with undescended testes were treated in our department. There were 31 testes(24.0%) that were not palpable at physical examination. These patients were evaluated with ultrasonography and repeated physical examination under general anesthesia. In the cases where testes could not be detected with ultrasonography and physical examination under general anesthesia, laparoscopy was performed to diagnose nonpalpable testis. Results : In 31 cases of nonpalpable testis, 13 testes were detected with ultrasonography and 15 testes became palpable with physical examination under general anesthesia. All of the remaining 16 nonpalpable testes were confirmed with laparoscopy. Conclusion : Physical examination under general anesthesia was superior to ultrasonography in making a diagnosis of nonpalpable testis. Ultrasonography and physical examination under general anesthesia could reduce the incidence of diagnostic laparoscopy. Therefore, it is recommended that ultrasonography, physical examination under general anesthesia and laparoscopy must be performed conventionally in order to diagnose nonpalpable testis.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationships with physical activity and depression and body function in elderly. Methods: Total 79 elderly(over 65years old) were participated in this study. A Korean Form of Geriatric Depression Scale(KGDS), Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE-K), Jebsen hand function test, dynamometer, five time sit-up test were used to measure the depression and cognition, body function(hand function, grasp power, lower extremity strength). Results: Physical activity participated group shows higher in the body function and lower in the depression than non participated group. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that the physical activity is helpful to indicate and manage the depression and body function in elderly.

건강은 누구에게나 중요한 것이지만, 육체적인 노동을 주로 해야하는 농민들에게 있어 건강은 재산목록 1호가 아닐 수 없다. 그러나 우리 사회의 여건은, 이들의 재산목록 1호를 제대로 보장해 줄수 없는 실정이어서 관련자들의 안타까움은 말로 표현할 수가 없다. 이런 상황속에서 마산시농협은 조합원들에게 건강검사를 실시하고 있어 농민들의 갈증을 조금이나마 풀어주고 있다. '88년 조합원 신체검사를 시작으로 해서, 충분한 재원이 확보되면 종합검사를 실시하겠다는 이들의 포부를 건강검사의 현장에서 들어봤다.
