This study was to conceptualize Palzha and investigate Palzha inference as mode of self-view. In general, people would like to attribute their unhappy and unfortunate life events or histories to Palzha which is given by the supernatural being. According to analysis of interviews and open-ended responses concerning on Plazha, Palzha indicated 'luck', 'uncontrollable situation', or 'fate' given by the supernatural being. In study 2, we conducted an analysis of the relationship between locus of control belief and Palzha attribution. More having external control belief, more tending to attributing the rugged life events or histories, and unexpected fortunate events to Palzha. Consequently, Palzha as mode of self-view on everyday events or life-events indicated it is likely to be another dimension of attribution on negative as well as positive life events in Korean culture.

Late recurrence over 10 years after surgery and endobronchial metastasis are some of the specific biological behaviors of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The current report describes a case of solitary endobronchial metastasis at a subsegmental bronchus that developed 20 years after curative nephrectomy for RCC. A 71-year-old male was admitted to our hospital for pneumonia. Chest radiography showed multifocal ill-defined nodular opacities in the right lower lung zone, suggesting pneumonia. Subsequent chest CT confirmed pneumonic infiltration in the right lung. However, a 4.3-cm, well-defined, elongated mass with a branching pattern was also identified in the right lower lobe, and a right nephrectomy scar was detected on the covered upper abdomen. The patient had undergone right nephrectomy 20 years ago due to clear cell RCC. After right lower lobectomy, the postoperative pathological diagnosis was endobronchial metastatic clear cell RCC. Endobronchial metastasis should be considered in a patient with a history of RCC who presents with a suspected endobronchial tumor, even decades after curative surgery.

In this article, criteria and considerations for selecting a domestic Personal Communications Services (PCS) system in Korea are presented and upbanded IS-95 Common Air Interface (CAI) is asserted to be appropriate as a result of evaluation by the criteria. And Shinsegi Telecomm, Inc. (STI) is claimed to be a suitable operator to provide PCS by upbanded IS-95 considering the experiences as the cellular operator adopting IS-95 CDMA technology. The PCS R&D plan and strategies of STI are given and the joint R&D plan with domestic manufacturers to develop PCS systems are explained. The results from R&D so far are mentioned. The PCS network architecture and various services-basic voice service, value-added services and wireless data services-are discussed.

Various types of geosynthetics have been manufactured and their applications are rapidly extended disregarding unreliable lifetime, chemical and biological persistence and puncture resistance. Puncture resistance of geosynthetics in earth structures and liner systems has been a critical issue to be improved. In this paper, comparative studies were made on a puncture resistance of various geosynthetics that were used to a liner system. Two types of puncture tools and rubles and gravels were used to generate punctures on geosynthetics. From the results it is shown that types of puncture tools affect puncture resistance of materials significantly and puncture forces were irregular depending upon puncture tools and materials.

The gallbladder (GB) is a rare site of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) metastasis. To the best of our knowledge, only a few reports of CT findings of GB metastasis exist in the literature. Herein, we report a case of histologically proven GB metastasis of RCC in a 55-year-old male who underwent CT for an intraluminal polypoid mass simulating a primary GB lesion.

We represent a pathologically proven case of a four-year-old male patient with renal cell carcinoma associated with Xp11.2 translocation/TFE3 gene fusion, which is rare but more frequent in children or young adults. Computed tomography showed about 2.5 cm size ill-defined mass in the right kidney. The mass was hyperechoic on ultrasound. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a mass with capsular enhancement and diffusion restriction. We present a case of Xp11.2 renal cell carcinoma and provide review of the literature.
