  • Agricultural products take a large part of the wholesale and retail market as a necessity for daily consumption, and the consumption and price of agricultural products affect the supply and demand of agricultural products, consumer spending, and agricultural household income. Therefore, in this study, It was conducted on unit price prediction using LSTM to trade agricultural products, weather observation, import and export performance and fresh food index data. In order to study the supply and demand management of agricultural products and appropriate prices in the wholesale and retail market, unit prices are predicted for garlic, cabbage, and onions with high consumer price index weights among items subject to vegetable price stabilizers.

Antioxidant Activities of Angelica keiskei L. and dried leaves of Raphanus sativus L. (신선초와 무시레기의 항산화 성분 및 활성 비교)

  • Dried leaves of Raphanus sativus L. and Angelica keiskei L. extracts have strong antioxidant potential and in consequence profound effects on ulcerative colitis. Present study was conducted to explore the effect of diet mixtures containing dried leaves of Raphanus sativus and Angelica keiskei powder on ulcerative colitis in mice and antioxidant potential of radish green and Angelica extracts as well. Both dried leaves of Raphanus sativus and Angelica keiskei extracts exhibited higher antioxidant activity due to the presence of polyphenols, favonoids and antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD). Analyzed data indicate that Angelica keiskei extract had higher polyphenol and flavonoid contents compared with radish green, while maximum SOD activity was noted in dried leaves of Raphanus sativus extract Likewise, higher antioxidant ($348.72{\pm}31.65{\mu}g/mL$) and $ABTS^+$ radical scavenging (17%) activities were noted in dried leaves of Raphanus sativus extract compared with Angelica keiskei.

Changes in Quality Characteristics of Fresh-cut Produce during Refrigerated Storage (냉장 저장 중 신선편이 농산물의 품질특성 변화)

  • We evaluated the quality characteristics of fresh-cut produce (potato, sweet potato, carrot, radish, zucchini, cucumber, and green bell pepper) washed with sodium hypochlorite, which were vacuum packaged, and stored at 4 and 10$^{\circ}C$. The L-values of the fresh-cut potato and sweet potato decreased during storage. Lower PPO activities of potato and sweet potato were observed at 4$^{\circ}C$ than those at 10$^{\circ}C$ and development of potato and sweet potato browning was delayed at 4$^{\circ}C$. Total aerobic count and coliform increased continuously at 10$^{\circ}C$ during storage. Diced zucchini and shredded sweet potato had the greatest reduction in hardness among the fresh-cut produce during storage. Differences in the rate of quality change were observed according to the kinds and cut types of produce. Thus, a quality maintenance period for each type of fresh-cut produce must be determined, which will lead to the safe use of fresh cut produce in foodservice establishments.

Winning Rate Improvement of the Korea Professional Baseball teams on Pythagorean method and Record (피타고라스 지수의 추정과 기록을 통한 한국프로야구 구단의 승률향상 방안)

  • The winning rate is the most important indicator for running a professional baseball team because it directly affects the spectator. James(1980) suggests that the Pythagorean method is almost identical to the actual winning rate, which is known as a way of helping to establish a team strategy. In this study, it was analyzed what kind of detail difference produced difference between real winning rate and winning rate based on Pythagorean method for 10 years from 2005 to 2014. The purpose of this study is to derive a plan to improve the performance of Korean professional baseball team. The results show that the expected winning rate differs from the actual winning rate by +.062 to -.054. In the process of this result, records of base on balls of the hitter, strikeout of the hitter, base on balls of the pitcher, batting average, sacrifice fly, etc. were found to affect the performance of professional baseball team. Therefore professional baseball teams should improve their batting eye so they can get a base on balls and reduce strikeouts. In the case of a pitcher, it should be instructed to reduce the base on balls by improving the control.

  • 통신기술이 1 세에서 5 세대로 발전하는 동안 해상물류의 핵심인 컨테이너는 기능상의 큰 발전없이 과거에 머물러 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 컨테이너의 위치 및 상태 정보를 수기로 관리하던 기존의 방식에서 벗어나 IoT 장비를 활용해 실시간 위치 파악, 상태 모니터링 및 자동화 등을 통해 물류의 가시성을 확보하고 컨테이너를 효율적으로 재배치함으로써 비용 절감 및 새로운 서비스 창출하기 위한 스마트 컨테이너를 제안한다. 부가적으로, 태양열판을 이용한 전원공급, 펠티어 소자를 이용한 냉방기능을 제공함으로써 신선 식품 배송의 핵심인 풀 코드 체인(Full Cold Chain) 플랫폼으로 활용범위를 넓히고자 한다.

  • Recently, the main concerns of enterprise management activities is how to strengthen the competitiveness to quickly respond to changes and sustain the growth in business environment. As IT(Information Technology) has become to be viewed as a key driver for the business competitiveness, new paradigms, such as business and IT alignment, IT-driven product/service innovation and so on, are regarded as the hot topic in many industries. However, previous studies related to IT evaluation, which is more critical than any other IT activities, have focused on quantitative IT deployment, utilization and its economical effects. Therefore, this study presents the newly-developed evaluation domains and items based on four pairs of relative concepts in industrial informatization, and their multi-dimensional analysis methodology which explains various types of IT characteristics of enterprises. And finally, pilot tests at 2 companies in financial service sector will be performed in order to verify the practicality of the evaluation system.

Assessment and Calibration of Ultrasonic Velocity Measurement for Estimating the Weathering Index of Stone Cultural Heritage (석조문화재의 풍화지수 산정을 위한 초음파속도의 평가 및 보정)

  • Ultrasonic method is widely used for the evaluation of weathering index and of degree of deterioration because it is easily applicable $in$ $situ$. The basic idea of the method is that the ultrasonic velocity decreases as a rock is being weathered. Thus, the difference of ultrasonic velocities between fresh rock and weathered rock indicates the degree of weathering. In this method, the ultrasonic velocity of fresh rock is assumed to be 5,000 m/s. However, this assumption can cause significant errors in estimating weathering index, especially in case that those rocks of the same type have a wide range of ultrasonic velocities such as in Korea. Therefore, we obtained twenty rock specimens and sixty core samples commonly used for stone cultural heritages in Korea, and measured ultrasonic velocities. From the results, we found that the ultrasonic velocities of the same rock type, granite samples range from 3,118 to 5,380 m/s, and that the estimated weathering index can be highly biased if we use the fixed value of 5,000 m/s. We created a database (DB) by combining the measurement data and reported it. We also measured ultrasonic velocities by direct and indirect methods to quantify the calibration coefficient for each sampling site. We found that the calibration coefficients vary widely from site to site (1.31-1.76). Other factors, such as operator bias and temperature did not show any significant effect on errors in ultrasonic velocity measurements. Lastly, we applied our ultrasonic velocity DB and calibration coefficients to a stone cultural heritage, Bonghwang-ri Buddha statue. Our estimation of the weathering index was 0.3, 0.1 smaller than that by conventional method. The degree of deterioration was also different, "moderately weathered", while conventional method gave "highly weathered". Since other independent studies reported that the degree of deterioration of the Buddha statue was "moderately weathered", our estimation seems to be more accurate. Thus our method can help accurately evaluate the weathering index and the conservation planning for a stone cultural heritage.

Effect of Ozonated Water and Chlorine Water Wash on the Quality and Microbial De-contamination of Fresh-cut Carrot Shreds (오존수 및 염소수 세척이 신선편이 당근의 품질 및 미생물억제에 미치는 영향)

  • Little information exists on how wash operations affect water quality, or the efficacy of sanitizers on vegetable quality and microbial reduction in fresh-cut carrot shreds. This study evaluated the efficacy of chlorine and ozone in reducing microbial loads and maintaining vegetable quality of carrot shreds. Fresh-cut carrot shreds were teated with various chlorine and ozone concentrations for differing times. The samples were then centrifuged to remove excess water, packaged in film, and stored at $5^{\circ}C$. The result indicated that varying the ozonated water wash time affected microbial growth the development of unpleasant odors, color, and the overall quality of carrot shreds. Ozonated water washing for 20 min maintained vegetable quality by inhibiting unpleasant odors, the development of whiteness, and by reducing microbial populations. A single chlorine water wash was effective and resulted in better vegetable quality when compared with two washes. Samples washed for 20 min in ozonated water, however, had better vegetable quality and smaller microbial counts compared to samples washed once in chlorine water A 20 min ozonated water wash is an attractive method for the maintenance of vegetable quality and shelf-life in fresh-cut carrot shreds.

A Study on the Mechanical Properties of the Cretaceous Tuffs in Goheung Area. (고흥지역에 분포하는 백악기 응회암의 역학적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The mechanical properties of the Cretaceous tuff distributed in the Goheung area were measured in the laboratory. Tuff (Goehung tuff and Palyeongsan welded tuff) in the study area is classified into vitric tuff with regard to its composition. The specific gravity, the dry density, the water content, the porosity and absorption ratio in tuffs of the study area are 2.51, $2.52(g/cm^2)$, 0.12($\%$), 4.51($\%$) and 1.91($\%$) in means, respectively. In the tuffs, dry densities are in inverse Proportion to Porosities, and absorption ratios are highly proportional with Porosities. The uniaxial compressive strengths(UCS) in the tuffs ranges from 80.4 to 208(MPa) and the average of the strength is 141.1(MPa). According to the engineering classification of intact rock (Deere & Miller, 1966), the tuffs are assigned to the high strength rocks. The point load strength index ($Is_a$) in axial test is 4.2(MPa) on the average, and the point load strength index ($Is_d$) in diametral test is 2.2(MPa) in mean, and the point load strength anisotrophic index($Ia_{(50)}$) by the ratio of $Is_a$ to $Is_d$ is 1.93. There is close linear correlation between the uniaxial compressive strength and point load strength index, and the equation representing the correlation is postulated as follows : UCS = 22 $Is_{(50)}$ +49 (MPa) (r=0.95). It is considered that this equation is a useful tool to estimate UCS for tuff in Goheung area.

Analysis of Weathered State on a Halo Stone Buddha, Unju Temple of Hwasun, Korea Using Low Frequency Flaw Detector (저주파 결함 탐지기를 활용한 화순 운주사 광배석불의 풍화상태 분석)

  • P-wave velocity was measured by the low frequency flaw detector in order to analyze the weathered state of a halo stone Buddha, Unju temple, Hwasun, Korea. By the results of laboratory tests on a fresh acidic tuff with the same rock of a halo stone Buddha, average absorption, average P-wave velocity, and average uniaxial compressive strength were 5.38%, 4,008 m/s, and 70.1 MPa, respectively. The results correspond to moderately strong rock. Average P-wave velocity of a halo stone Buddha measured by the low frequency flaw detector was 2,257 m/s in the left zone, 3,437 m/s in the right zone, and 2,802 m/s overall. Weathering index of a halo stone Buddha was 0.45 in the left zone, 0.21 in the right zone, and 0.33 overall. Comparing the results of a halo stone Buddha with them of laboratory tests, weathered state of a halo stone Buddha was analyzed highly weathered state in the left zone and moderately weathered state in the right zone. Furthermore, it suggests that the left zone of a halo stone Buddha was affected weathering more than the right one. Overall a halo stone Buddha corresponds to moderately weathered state of weathering degrees. In conclusion, it is considered that low frequency flaw detector may be applicable as a valuable method on analyzing the P-wave velocity of the stone cultural heritage with an irregular surface.
