A Case Study for Simulation of a Debris Flow with DEBRIS-2D at Inje, Korea (DEBRIS-2D를 이용한 인제지역 토석류 산사태 거동모사 사례 연구)

  • In order to assess applicability of debris flow simulation on natural terrain in Korea, this study introduced the DEBRIS-2D program which had been developed by Liu and Huang (2006). For simulation of large debris flows composed of fine and coarse materials, DEBRIS-2D was developed using the constitutive relation proposed by Julien and Lan (1991). Based on the theory of DEBRIS-2D, this study selected a valley where a large debris flow was occurred on July 16th, 2006 at Deoksanri, Inje county, Korea. The simulation results show that all mass were already flowed into the stream at 10 minutes after starting. In 10minutes, the debris flow reached the first geological turn and an open area, resulting in slow velocity and changing its flow direction. After that, debris flow started accelerating again and it reached the village after 40 minutes. The maximum velocity is rather low between 1 m/sec and 2 m/sec. This is the reason why debris flow took 50 minutes to reach the village. The depth change of debris flow shows enormous effect of the valley shape. The simulated result is very similar to what happened in the field. It means that DEBRIS-2D program can be applied to the geologic and topographic conditions in Korea without large modification of analysis algorithm. However, it is necessary to determine optimal reference values of Korean geologic and topographic properties for more reliable simulation of debris flows.

A Study on the Effect of Customers' Experimental Recognition of the Omni-Channel Brand on the Relationship Quality (옴니채널 브랜드에 대한 경험적 인식이 관계품질에 미치는 영향)

  • This study reviews the literature related to the omni-channel and derived structural relationship between experiential perception of omni-channel brand and consumer-brand relational quality. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed to university students, workers, and consumers in Busan, Korea, who had experience using SSG.com. 210 questionnaires were used for final validation of research model. The hypotheses set in this study was validated through SPSS18.0 and LISREL8.3 based on the research model. The results showed that all hypotheses were accepted, except for 2 hypotheses(Hypothesis 2-3, Hypothesis 2-4). Findings of this study suggest the following:First, the consumer's experience with the omni-channel brand was found to be an important factor influencing consumers' cognitive and emotional responses formed by the transfer effect of experiential factors through senses. Second, the relationship between consumers and the omni-channel brand was found to be an important factor in building attachment and psychological bond through experience and trust for the omni-channel brand. Thus, the results of this study provide the basis for overall understanding of the strategic experiential module (SEMs) for the omni-channel, which recently emerged as a new trend of distribution channel, as well as for managing the spatial environment. Finally, we present the theoretical and practical implications related to consumers' experience and relational perception.

  • In the early 1990's, international security environment bring on the change. So each countries should have renewed the defence policy. The developed countries make efforts to keep the superiority of military industry with an high technology and huge capital. One of the efforts is the defence industry exhibitions for the management performance regarded as the marketing strategic principal method. The result of the opening exhibitions has been studied by research papers and treatises. A exhibitions' goal is different from an it's characteristic, type, industry, participator, institution and participating nation. An enterprise's management performance is runs as follows. First, an exhibitions participation activation has an effect re-participation following the satisfaction. Second, an exhibitions participation activation contributes to be on sale promotion, The result of the exhibitions participation is classified with sale performance and non-sale performance. The third, an exhibitions participation activation contributes to the effective company management. The huge fund advertisement is a financial burden, but a exhibitions takes effect one-fifth economical retrenchment. Accordingly, this study researched the exhibition participation choice properties, an exhibitions participation activation properties and investigated the Korea defence industry's income statement, balance sheet, growth ratios, profitability ratios, productivity ratios, stability ratios which were substitute for the enterprise's management performance through the exhibitions participation costs and the number of times.

The Investigatory Study about The Project Process of Community Building Leaded by Community Welfare Centers (지역사회복지관이 주도하는 마을만들기 사업 과정에 관한 탐색적 연구 : 사회복지관 실무자의 경험을 중심으로)

  • This study is to deeply investigate the process experience of making the local organization with the supervisors and the social workers-in-field with the research question, 'how is the project process of community building leaded by community welfare centers'. For this, 6 community welfare centers were selected among 22 ones participated in the public contest of Seoul Welfare Foundation, and 15 line workers including the top supervisors working there were selected as the research participants and interviewed. The interview source materials of research participants were analyzed using the method of consistent comparison of Strauss and Corbin(1996). According to the result of the research, the project process of community building leaded by community welfare centers indicated 4 phases such as 'the step of change of recognition', 'the step of mutual communication', 'the step of cooperation expansion', and 'initiative construction'. With the result of this study, I supposed political and practical tasks for promoting that local residents voluntarily build the community and the change of paradigm that is community welfare centers for local residents. Also, this study will be relevant that the result of this study is offered as base line data for extending theoretical and practical discussion about building community depending on characteristic of community and community welfare centers.

A Comparative Study on Characters and Effects of the On-Line Social Network in Korea & Japan (한국과 일본의 온라인 관계망의 특성과 효과에 대한 비교연구)

  • This study is an attempt to provide some answers to question about how characteristics and general recognition regarding internet use in Korea and Japan influence fostering and maintaining on-line social network in each of countries. Survey is used to compare Korean internet users and Japanese internet users in terms of characteristics of on-line social network, individual's propensity for internet use, including their recognition on internet. The study's main findings go as follows. First, Korean internet users tend to be more active in using internet than Japanese internet users do, thus having larger on-line social network and more intensive internet use than Japanese internet users do. However, there is a commonality that majority of internet users in both countries use internet to connect them to person with whom they have private relationship but they cannot meet frequently. Second, for Korean internet users, individual's propensity, characteristics, and recognition regarding internet use is not related to how to contact others. To the contrary, for Japanese internet users, how to contact others in on-line setting seems to vary according to whether or not they have relation-oriented internet use and how they recognize the availability of internet. Third, a commonality regarding the size of on-line social network is found between Korea and Japan that the total numbers of people enrolled as network increases if people use internet in order to get information. This confirms previous finding that relationship based on weak tie is instrumental in fostering on-line social relations and likely produces advantage in getting information. Finally, for Japanese internet users, the degree of risk recognized in on-line setting, that is the degree of interpersonal trust, appears to greatly influence overall relationship -building in on-line.

Development of OSL Dosimetry Reader (선량 판독용 OSL 측정장치의 개발)

  • Design and performance test results of a newly developed optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) measurement system are presented in this paper. Generally, different types of optical filters are used in OSL reader system to minimize the interference of the stimulation light in the OSL signal. For optically stimulation of $Al_2O_3:C$, we have arrived at an optimal combination of the filters, i.e., GG420 filter for filtering the stimulating light source, and a combined UG11 and BG39 filter at the detecting window (PMT). By using a high luminance blue LED (Luxeon V), sufficient luminous intensity could be obtained for optically stimulation. By using various control boards, the OSL reader device was successfully interfaced with a personal computer. A software was developed to deliver required commands to operate the OSL reader by using the LabView program (National Instruments, Inc.). In order to evaluate the reliability and the reproducibility of newly designed-OSL reader. Performance testing of the OSL reader was carried out for OSL efficiency, OSL decay curve and signal to noise ratio of the standard $Al_2O_3:C$ OSL material. It was found to be comparable with that of commercial Riso reader system.

A Study on the Development and Validation of an Assessment Tool of KBU Core Competency (기독교대학의 핵심역량 측정 도구 개발 사례 연구 : K대학교를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a assessment tool that can be used to measure core competencies by describing operational definitions of the six core competencies of KBU and constructing sub-factors accordingly. The followings are the results of this study. First, this study analyzed previous research on KBU 6 competencies and set operational definitions through Bible verses describing KBU core competencies. Second, the sub-elements according to the definition of core competency were selected through previous research and the drafting of assessment tools for each sub-element was developed. And then, confirmed the validity of the tool as a suitable tool for KBU, through a review of professors who are fluent in KBU's founding philosophy and policies. The assessment tools were revised based on feedback from the professors. Third, in order to validate the assessment tool, the researchers conducted a survey on students in the second semester of 2018. The data was collected, the reliability was checked based on the data, the validity was verified through EFA and CFA, and the final assessment tool was confirmed. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in developing the KBU core competency assessment tool, and it is expected that will be able to systematically manage the KBU competency of students.

An Instrument Development and Validation for Measuring High School Students' Systems Thinking (고등학생들의 시스템 사고 측정을 위한 측정 도구 개발과 타당화)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop an instrument to measure high school students' systems thinking and to validate the scale. The scale of systems thinking was made up for 5 factors - systems thinking, mental model, shared vision, personal mastery, and team learning through analyses of related literature. Six items per factor were constructed and the scale consisted of a total of 30 items for the pretest. After exploratory factor analysis, the number of total items was reduced to 20 items. For the main test, 280 students were sampled from high school and analyzed valid cases were 260 students. The finding of the exploratory factor analysis indicated 5 factors in the model, and 4 items per single factor. The result of confirmatory factor analysis was generally appropriate and acceptable (5 factor model: $x^2/df$=1.275, TLI=.946, CFI=.959, RMSEA=.033). The reliability for 20 items turned out to be reliable because the Cronbach's alphas were .840 and .604~.723 per each factor. This study should be expanded to various school levels and should be standardized for further research. The subsequent studies regarding diverse learning program development and implementation and the verification on the students' impact within the developed program can be recommended.

A Study on the Determinants of Entry Mode in the Overseas Market for Food Service Enterprises (외식기업의 해외 시장 진입 방식 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • As most companies in the world are much interested in the overseas market as well as in the domestic market, many Korean food service enterprises came to focus on extending their branches to the overseas market. However, lack of business strategies including market research, marketing strategies, localization, etc. has made them continue to fail in market entry. The purpose of this study is to develop entry mode of determinants of Korean food service enterprises, considering their characteristic factors and environment factors in the overseas market. To do this, companies which have a head quarter in Korea and over 2 year business experience in the overseas market were chosen and used for a self-administered questionnaire survey. Statistical processing, including descriptive statistics, logistic regressing analysis, and multi regression analysis using an SPSS/PC 12.0 statistical package were conducted The result is as follows. First, explanation suitability was 85% of the entry mode in the overseas market. Second, as business size was smaller, product differentiation was higher, and CEO's will for success in the overseas market was higher, independent entry mode in the overseas market was likely to he chosen. Lastly, as the uncertainty of demand and trade barrier were lower, and a sociocultural gap was smaller, independent entry mode in the overseas market was likely to be chosen.
