The purpose of this study was aimed to identify the relationship between pursuit benefit and behavior by spectators participating security exhibition. The result of study is significant because it may provide more effective and aggressive marketing strategies to the future companies participating security exhibition, and suggest developmental direction by actively responding spectators' needs. The subject for this study was spectators who participating World Security Expo 2014 held three days from March 12 to 14 in 2014. 300 samples were selected by convenience sampling for subject of this study. 283 out of 300 surveys, excluded 17 unfaithful and defected surveys, were used for data analysis. Research tool was questionnaire which was based on and recomposed by previous researches home and abroad. The collected data were treated for analysis of frequency, reliability, factor analysis, correlation, and regression by using SPSS statistic package version of 18.0. Through the above research method and procedure, the results were as followings. First, the relationship between pursuit benefit and behavior after participating exhibition appeared positively. It was found that there was high relationship between pursuit benefit and behavior. Second, analyzing relationship of factors between pursuit benefit and behaviors resulted to effect information exploration, good use of spare time, and product purchase on word of mouth. Third, analyzing relationship of factors between pursuit benefit and behaviors resulted to effect good use of spare time, information exploration, and product purchase on re-participation.
Security officers' intent to leave their job would have devastating effects on national security related industries. That is because excessive turnover would result in wasting the money for recruiting and training for organizations as well as putting the level of national security at risk. Therefore, this study has a goal to investigate the factors influencing the intent of leave job among security staff working for one of public institution, airports(n=198). Specifically, this study has a focus on examining the effect of job satisfaction, job commitment and security staff's level of commitment on national security on their turnover intent. The results of the multivariate ordinary lest square regression analysis reveal that job satisfaction, job commitment, and the level of national security commitment directly influence turnover intent. Also, the job satisfaction and the level of national security commitment has indirect impact on the turnover intent via job commitment. However, the results indicate that gender, age, and educational level are not related with security staff's decision to leave their job. Policy implications and study contribution were discussed in this study.
However, the academic identity of security related studies still remain as a task to be solved. In 2000, security related studies were newly established and offered in 60 universities, but the present condition is that the number of universities that offer the studies has decreased due to the issues such as reduction of freshmen and there are currently 39 universities (both two-year and four-year). In addition, an appropriately mixed use of name of the studies is being demanded in order to respond to the social overall market changes, as the names such as 'police', 'security', 'martial art' and 'non-commissioned officer'. Of course, the common goal the studies are pursuing is safety service activities for civilians. However, the present condition is that the establishment of university system is still insufficient, and the curriculum has composed loosely by professors in various field. Therefore, the two-year security related studies with strong market directivity in the security industry were selected in this thesis to highlight the realistic issues and comparatively analyze the curriculum of each school to deduce basic curriculum and future direction was presented. The wavering curriculum of each school while seeking the common goal of security related studies is reflecting the reality of unsettled security studies and it is a task that needs to be solved. The security related studies need reinforced education such as the method to provide opportunities of joint-task among professional manpower, academic-industrial cooperation process and academic-industrial joint-development, while adopting subdivided education.
Rapid advancement of technology in today's society has allowed for easy access and use of data, promoting the process of informationization. Along with the merits of such development, unintended consequences of security risks involving wiretapping have been increasing as well. The security threats posed by wiretapping technology must be addressed by every organization and individual, as it could be used to leak confidential information about the nation's security, military and diplomatic strategies, industrial technologies, and personal information. Despite increasing threats stemming from the surrounding nations using advanced wiretapping technology, there is a lack of awareness at the government level, and the existing security measures for detecting and counteracting the wiretapping equipment are ineffective. In this research, the authors offered technical suggestions for improving the security strategies against the threats of wiretapping and information leakage by conducting a content analysis. The authors suggested the units of an agency be assigned a security grade based on its importance, and that adequate security equipment should be operated according to the grade. For instance, around-the-clock surveillance is recommended for grade-1 facilities, and portable wiretapping equipment detectors should be used to protect conference rooms and other key sites.
Korea domestic casino industry has been experienced an explosive growth marking the highest quantity and quality with rapid growth of domestic economy since the 1960s. However there are really lack of study about presenting guideline for establishing risk management planning reflected characteristics of casino industry. Therefore, we analyzed previous studies about concept of the risk and criteria and drew dimension of safety supervision reflecting characteristics of casino industry. we, also, identified detailed safety management factors as well as classified three dimensions of environment, human and facility on the dimension of safety supervision. This study was designed to examine effect relationship between risk management factors and performance of security management organization focused on The mediation effect of atmosphere of organization We used two different tools for data analysis: SPSS 18.0 for the descriptive statistics and PLS 3.0 to validate the integrity of the research model and proposed hypotheses that is main effects from risk management factors to security management organization and mediation effects of atmosphere of organization. The data analysis confirmed the importance of risk management factors to enhanced performance of security management organization. The mediation effect of atmosphere of organization, also, supported relationship between risk management factors and performance of security management organization. It provided theoretical and practical implication for building risk management strategy well suited casino company and conducting security management.
The purpose of this study was to examine the factors which influence the attitude of employees in security firms in Korea that ultimately lead to their turnover. Several variables which are seen as influential in formation of employees' attitudes about their organizations are leadership and job characteristics. In commitment and job stress were seen as two major variables which lead to the formation of their turnover, commitment was seen as positive influential variable and job stress a negatively influencing variable in employees' attitudes about their respective organizations. Survey method using questionnaires were utilized on employees of medium to large security firms in Seoul and Kyonggi province of Korea where 30 or more were employed. Sample for this research were field operators and, for leadership determination, their division chiefs were chosen. For the purpose of this research, several key hypotheses derived and developed from existing works related to this research topic were tested using multiple regression analysis utilizing SPSS 11.0. and Lisrel 8W The research findings are an follows: 1. leadership behavior of the superiors greatly influence, in most positive way, the employees' commitment. 2. Those employees who view their high organization commitment. shown to possess lower turnover. 3. Autonomy in their job characteristics to positively influence one's job stress 4. Higher the job stress the higher and positively influence one's turnover.
Recently, Crime patterns in our society are diversifying as followed on the urbanization of population and the influx of immgrants. Existing murder, kidnap, sexual assault, etc. Especially, the crimes such as school violence, dating violence, domestic violence, violent abuse and even social hatred a crime, motiveless crime are spreading into every phase of national life. Due to the social situation, the sharp increase in demand for personal protection, the scale of private security industry has been constantly expanded. Following this trend, the personal protective regulations in Security Industry Act has been revised several times since the it was enacted in 1995. However, despite the fact that the legal and institutional aspects should have been amended and improved systematically according to the industrial development, the regulations adopted initially adopted has been maintained so far, which have resulted in various problems as they could not coincide with the purpose of private security, being divorced from the reality of private security industry and social changes. Especially, in the case of personal protection service and facility security service, the legal requirements of both services are identical with each other in terms. Such legal systems may cause confusion to security businesses and employees, or the police managing and supervising them, regarding the scope and duties of security services. In order to improve such problems, the regulations of permission requirement that the personal protective regulations in Security Industry Act should be revised system. In this study, relevant personal protection provisions prescribed in the Security Industry Act have been reviewed critically in this paper. And also the regulations were review of those personal protection provisions enacted in security industry Act, so that the improvement plan for the personal protection provisions that are apposite to the cases in this country could be suggested in order to amend the current laws and provide real grounds for the law enforcement.
According to the Security Services Industry Act security guards are not just workers but security-related service workers complementing the lack of police force and specializing in protecting of national important facilities, industrial facilities and apartment houses. Nevertheless, confusing or mixing the security service workers in "Security Services Industry Act" with the guards in the "Act on the Protection etc. of Temporary Agency Workers" lead to a constant debate about the scope of work of security guards. In the case of security service workers in "Security Services Industry Act" there is a strict limitations on security service worker's qualification such as strict reasons for disqualification, a need to pass training for new workers and qualification training, a need to report to the competent chief police officer if the security guard has placed or unplaced by the security service company. It distinguishes security service workers in "Security Services Industry Act" from the guards in the "Act on the Protection etc. of Temporary Agency Workers" and acknowledges the occupation of security service worker as a professional service worker. Therefore, security service workers in "Security Services Industry Act" shouldn't be obliged to do any other work than security work. If it is required to do other work than security work contract by the "Security Services Industry Act" doesn't apply but need to use a security guard according to "Act on the Protection etc. of Temporary Agency Workers" or hire a security guard on the employment contract. In this way, when security service workers in "Security Services Industry Act" are recognized as professional security related workers, the entire security industry can ultimately develop.
Recently, security behavior of members of organizations has been recognized as a critical part of information security at the corporate level. Leakage of customers' information brings more attention to information security behavior of organizations and the importance of a task force. Research on information breach and information security is actively conducted of personal behavior toward security threats or members of organizations who use security technology. This study aims to identify factors of influence on information security behavior of members of organizations and to empirically find out how these factors affect information security behavior through behavior toward attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior control. On the basis of the research, this study will present effective and efficient ways to foster information security activities of members of organizations. To this end, the study presented a research model that applied significant variables based on integration of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Theory of Protection Motivation (TPM). To empirically verify this research model, the study conducted a survey of members of organizations who had security-related work experience at companies. So, it is critical for members of organizations to encourage positive word of mouth (WOM) about information security behavior. Results show that based on the integration of TPM and TPB, perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, perceived efficiency and perceived barriers of information security behavior of members of organizations had significant influences on mediating variables such as behavior toward attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control and intention. They also had significant influences on organization information security behavior which is a dependent variable. This study indicates companies should introduce various security solutions so that members of the organizations can prevent and respond to potential internal and external security risks. In addition, they will have to take actions to inspect vulnerability of information system and to meet security requirements such as security patches.
This study examined the institutional improvement directions of industrial security programs, particularly focusing upon policies and practices in the U.S., to enhance the effectiveness of industrial security programs in Korea. This study also aimed to investigate the significance of institutional and/or policy implementations in preventing economic espionage attempt. Data leakage and/or loss of trade secrets in corporations has been a scary proposition and a serious headache to both the CEOs and the CSOs(Chief Security Officers). Security professionals or practitioners have always had to deal with data leakage issues that arise from e-mail, instant messaging(IM), and other Internet communication channels. In addition, with the proliferation of wireless and mobile technology, it's now much easier than ever for loss by data breaches to occur, whether accidentally or maliciously or even by an economic espionage attempt. The researcher in this study used both a case study and a comparative research to analyze the different strategies and approaches between the U.S. and Korea in regard of implementing policies to mitigate damages by economic espionage attempts and prevent them from occurring. The researcher first examined the current policies and practices in the U.S. in terms of federal government's and agencies' approach and strategies on industrial security programs and their partnerships with private-commercial-sectors. The purpose of this paper is to explain and suggest selected findings, and a discussion of actions to be taken on implementing a proactive and tactical approach to enhance the effectiveness of industrial security programs to fight against information loss or data leaks. This study used case reviews, literatures, newspapers, articles, and Internet resources relating to the subject of this study for triangulation of data. The findings during this research are as follows. This research suggests that both the private and the governmental sector should closely cooperate in the filed of industrial security to strengthen its traditional prevention strategies and reduce opportunities of economic espionage as well. This study finally recognizes both the very importance of institutional development led by the Government in preventing economic espionage attempts and its effectiveness when properly united with effective industrial security programs.
