  • 우리나라 수위관측소에 설치되어 있는 수위표는 야간 시인성 부족으로 야간이나 우천시 수위관측을 수행하는데 있어 많은 어려움이 있다. 특히 유량측정 전후 수위관측이 반드시 필요하지만 야간일 경우 눈으로 확인하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 야간 수위관측시 시인성을 높이기 위해 일부 관측소에서 야광도료를 이용하거나 빛의 반사효과를 높인 수위표를 설치하는 등의 노력을 하고 있으나 그 효과는 크지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 야간 수위관측시 수위 식별이 어려운 문제를 해결하기 위해 첨단 소자인 LED(Light Emitting Diode)를 이용한 수위표를 개발하고 동시에 전류식 수위센서를 이용하여 자동 수위측정이 가능한 수위표를 개발하였다. 이는 기존의 눈으로 확인하는 수위표와 로거에 저장되는 수위측정장치를 하나로 통합한 것이며 주야간을 가리지 않는 탁월한 시인성과 정확한 수위측정 및 수위자료의 저장이 특징이다. LED는 최근 각광받고 있는 첨단 소자로서 각종 전광판 등에 다양하게 활용되고 있으며 전력을 크게 소비하지 않는 것이 특징이다. 또한 전기장치를 수중에 설치하는 것이므로 방수를 위해 실리콘을 이용하여 완벽 방수구조를 갖추었으며 홍수시 하천 유하물에 의한 파손을 방지하기 위해 내구성을 갖춘 구조로 설계 제작하였다. LED를 이용한 수위표는 야간이나 홍수시 수위관측을 수행할 때 많은 장점이 있을 것으로 판단되며 저전력 구조로 상용전원을 이용할 수 없는 위치에서 태양열 전지판을 이용한 배터리 기반 시스템으로 구성할 수 있으므로 측정의 정확도, 활용도 측면뿐만 아니라 설치의 편리성 문제도 큰 장점을 가질 것으로 판단된다.

  • The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices advises that, "Signs should be placed on the right side of the roadway where they are easily recognized and understood by road users." Guidance is provided on the spacing and prioritization of signs, and in some conditions, additional steps may be needed to ensure that signs are conspicuous. This study proposes a design methodology using ergonomics concepts applied to traffic sign and street name signs. Initially, a literature revision on cognitive ergonomics is performed. Several design methodologies are analyzed and the aspects to be considered in traffic signs are selected.. In this study, problems of traffic signs in Korea were identified through the comparative analysis of domestic and foreign traffic signs and a prototype of ergonomic traffic sign was developed based on the analysis results. And the driver's views on the developed traffic sign were investigated. In addition, based on the results of this study, this study is to provide the necessary foundation for improving traffic signs in order to help the various age groups of drivers to reach their destinations without difficulties when they drive.

  • Through this experiment driver's perception were measured. An analysis of the perception measurement result analyzed the subject's obstacle perception response time according to voltage patterns. The difference in the reaction time between men and women was also analyzed. Futhermore, the obstacle perception response time was analyzed according to the rate of the brightness of the headlamp. The relative delay time was analyzed In reference to times when there was no voltage change.

  • 운전자의 시인성, 뇌파, 심리평가를 위한 실내 실험실 및 측정 시스템을 구축하고 예비실험 결과를 분석한 후 운전자의 시인성을 측정하였다. 본 실험을 위하여 남, 녀 각각 20명의 피험자를 선발하였으며 이들의 연령은 피험자의 연령에 의한 측정오차를 최소화하기 위하여 모두 20대로 제한하였다. 그리고 본 실험 측정결과를 전압패턴에 따라 피험자의 장애물 인식 반응속도를 분석하였고, 남-녀 성별 간의 장애물 인식 반응속도 차이를 분석하였다. 또한 전조등의 전압변동에 의한 밝기 비율에 따라서 피험자의 장애물 인식 반응속도를 분석하였고, 전압변동이 없을 때의 장애물 인식 반응속도를 기준으로 상대적인 장애물 인식 지연시간을 분석하였다.

Suggestion of Delineators Considering Traffic Safety at Curve Sections (교통안전을 고려한 곡선부 시선유도시설물 제시에 관한 연구)

  • On a curve radius, there is speed deviation because a driver who is on the curve radius can have visual distortion. The curve radius can be more dangerous than a straight radius by many reasons. Especially, visibility paralysis of delineator that is because of night and bad weather. Can pervert the information about curve sections, it threatens safety. More over accident risk is increased by influence to travel speed. Therefore, it needs to build and control delineators for driver's visibility. Therefore, this study focus on finding the two types of delineator(the retro-reflection and inside-lighting delineator) by insight-surveying and the operating speed are compared by survey and operating speed. Finally, inside-lighting delineator will be selected in terms of safety at the curve sections. The inside-lighting delineator was more effective than the retro-reflection delineator on visibility, the necessity of reduction of speed and will reduce the hazard at curve sections. Also, the study analyzes safety is guaranteed by the slight reduction of speed when the driver enters a curve radius with inside-lighting delineator. As a result, the inside-lighting delineator can give the information about horizontal and vertical profile effectively, so it can reduce the accident risk. And it can use to improve traffic safety on curve radius.

  • The function of navigational aids are to be coincided with the development of navigational equipment and increase of traffics on the sea fairway. Supplementary function or side effect of wharf-edge illumination would be effective to indicate fairway indirectly and collision avoidance between ships and bridge against background light in port area at night also a serious-view light on the bridge posts would be effective to ensure the drifting ships by wind and current force adjacent bridge area.

Influence of Observation Height and Eye Condition on Evaluation of Step Visibility while Viewing a Step from the Descending Direction (내려가는 방향에서 본 단차의 시인성에 미치는 관찰 높이 및 시각 조건의 영향)

  • Steps are very common features in our living environment. Unfortunately, the occurrence of accidents on steps is thus inevitable. A failed visibility to recognize a step remains the most common attribute in these accidents. In this research, sensory scales of step visibility were created in order to examine the effects of two factors on step visibility in sensory testing methods; observation height from floor and eye condition while viewing a step from the descending direction. Results of sensory tests revealed strong influence of eye condition on step visibility. Influence of visual characteristics of each step was also examined and clarified.
