In this study, a vortex visualization method based on the vorticity magnitude is developed. One of the simplest models for a vortex is a vortex filament with the maximum vorticity on its center. The proposed method is based on the observation of this ideal distribution of vorticity magnitude. Laplacian and Hessian matrix of vorticity magnitude are tested for detecting the local maximum of vorticity magnitude. These ideas were applied to wake flow past a sphere. It was found that the Laplacian method is not able to distinguish vortices from the underlying shear layer clearly, while the Hessian matrix method does not suffer from this problem.

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of aldehyde compounds and ploysulfide as accelerating agents on removal of heavy metals and CN in plating wastewater. As a results of the experiments, the removal efficiency of cyanide using the formaldehyde type of aldehydes was the highest at pH 9. Next types were sodium formaldehyde bisulfite addut> paraldehyde> paraformaldehyde. Also, optimum pH and dosage for treating the residual heavy metals by using polysulfide were pH 9 and 30 mg/L, respectively. The removal efficiencies of cyanide, chromium, zinc and copper were above 96.7% at optimum condition.

우리는 3차원 개체로 표현된 옷의 주름을 라플라시안 맵과 옷 주름 맵을 사용하여 실시간에 비사실적으로 표현하는 방법을 제안한다. 옷의 주름을 표현하기 위해, 옷의 주름을 디자이너가 직접 그린 옷 주름 맵과 옷이 변형된 상태에 대한 정보가 계산된 라플라시안 맵을 사용하여, 단순한 GPU연산을 통해 최종적으로 옷의 주름을 표현한다. 실험 결과 우리가 제안한 방법은 옷의 주름을 실시간에 비사실적으로 표현할 수 있으며, 디자이너의 의도한 바대로 주름을 그릴 수 있다는 장점이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

주얼리 제품에서 마스터패턴 제작비는 최종제품의 20% 정도로 전체 주얼리제품 시장에서 매우 큰 비중을 차지한다. 기존 주얼리 제품을 제작하는 일반 공정인 ‘디자인 시안→상세도면 제작→1왁스형 제작→석고 플라스크 제작→은 마스터패턴의 제작→왁스패턴의 대량생산→정밀주조→최종제품’의 복잡한 단계를 ‘CAD 디자인 시안→쾌속조형기 듀라폼 음각몰드 제작→저융점 합금으로 마스터패턴 제작→정밀주조→최종제품’의 공정으로 단순화하면서도 대폭시간을 단축할 수 있는 신공정을 제안하였다. 주요공정인 selective laster sintering (SLS)형 쾌속조형기(rapid prototype: RP)를 이용해서 분해온도가 190℃인 듀라폼 분말로 미리 3D CAD로 설계한 직경 20mm의 구, 링 요소를 각각 상하형의 합체형 몰드와 일체형 몰드로 제작하였다. 제작된 몰드에 융점이 70℃인 Pb-Sn-Bi-Cd 저융점 합금을 주입하여 마스터패턴을 제조하였다. 완성된 마스터패턴은 목표형상에 비해 치수 변형율이 2% 이내로 우수하고 주입공정 및 후가공공정이 용이하여 주얼리용 마스터패턴으로 응용이 가능하였다.

This paper investigates the feasibility of the Bayesian discrete time approximation method to estimate the parameters of Weibull distributions of failures for two non-identical components connected in series system. A Bayesian model based on the discrete time approximation method is formulated to infer the Weibull parameters of two non-identical components with the failure data of the virtual tests. The study of this paper comes to a conclusion that the method is feasible only for some special cases under the given constraints on the concerned parameters.
