  • Low voltage circuit breakers which interrupt rapidly and raise the reliability of power supply are widely used in power distribution systems. In the paper, it has been investigated how much interrupting capability is improved by correcting the shape of the contact system in molded case circuit breaker(below MCCB), especially contacts and arc runner. Prior to the interrupting testing, it is necessary for the optimum design tc analyze electromagnetic forces on the contact system generated by current and flux density. This paper presents both our computational analysis and test results on contact system in MCCB

  • We can embody a variable size of high classic industrial material. and jewelry design within 5 hours. using a rapid prototype 3D CAD, which includes 30 kinds of database selected by jewelry designers. If the jewelry can be investigated and the customer can modify it right away ; then the qualify of the jewelry is much better. Based on our investigation. we can reduce 30$\%$ of the development cost by using a standard database. We can also create a new design with complex design element in the database. Therefore, we may reduce the production time to less than 5 hours by using a Powerful technique system rather than producing hand-made jewelry, which can take more than 27 hours.

  • An attitude control system using reaction thrusters for the upper stage of a launch vehicle is considered. The thruster configuration (position and direction) determines control system response, fuel consumption, effective torque and system fault tolerance. We propose a procedure for finding the optimal thruster configuration with desired control effectiveness over the range of selected torque commands. An optimization technique called Particle Swarm Optimization is used for the numerical experiments. The validity of the solution is checked through computer simulations.

  • In order to increase design efficiency, it is required to design steam boiler pressure parts systematically considering daily start-stop operation and load variation. The objective of this research is to develope an integrated system for increasing design efficiency of boiler pressure parts. The developed system consists of three program modules: (1) flexibility design module for the header stub considering fatigue life, (2) fatigue limit calculation and life evaluation module for the thick-walled boiler pressure part under cyclic operation using TRD301 code, (3) drawing automation module for the header and drum producing design drawings, welding data and bill of materials.

  • This paper deals with a parametric study on cooling channel configurations to enhance the cooling effect. As a cooling effect has been increased, the exhaust gas by the plant from a manufacture is becoming deceased. To solve this problem, the design of a efficient cooling system is needed. In this paper, the cooling channel was analyzed to improve the cooling performance. The heat transfer rates depending on the number of baffle and the heiht of fin were obtained by using numerical simulation method. Three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Naiver-Stokes equations were used to estimate flow and heat transfer in cooling channel, and the $k-{\varepsilon}$ model for turbulence closure was employed.

  • In this paper, a study on the development of expert system for Al matrix composite with shape memory alloy fiber is performed to evaluate termomechanical behavior and mechanical properties. Expert system is very useful computer-based analysis system designed to make analysis technique and knowledge conveniently available to a lot of fabricable condition. In the developed system, it is possible to predict termomechanical behavior and mechanical properties for other composite with shape memory alloy fiber. The smartness of the shape memory alloy is given due to the shape memory effect of the TiNi fiber which generates compressive residual stress in the matrix material when heated after being prestrained. For finite element analysis, an analytical model is assumed two dimensional axisymmetric model compared of one fiber and the matrix. To evaluate the strength of composite using FEM, the concept of smart composite was simulated on computer Thus, in this paper, the FEA was carried out at two critical temperature conditions; room temperature and high temperature(363k). The finite element analysis result was compared with the test result for the analysis validity.

  • 최근 공장 자동화가 보편화됨에 따라 무인 운반설비의 자동화 시스템 개발의 한 부분으로써 Stereo Vision 장치를 이용하여 입력된 영상의 에지(Edge)를 추출하고, 추출된 에지를 이용하여 물체의 위치적 특징을 찾고 무인크레인이 이동해야할 위치좌표를 전달한다. 본 연구에서는 실제 산업현장에 가장 보편적인 형상인 판재와 원통을 기준으로 CCD 카메라 2대를 이용하여 물체의 형상을 인식하고, 그 물체의 중심점을 찾는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 우선 에지를 추출하고 사용자의 선택에 따라 추출된 에지의 특징을 판별하여 판재와 원통을 구분하여 원하는 물체의 위치정보를 찾아낸다. 본 연구는 무인 운반설비의 자동화 시스템 개발에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • In this study, a numerical analysis based on CFD methods has been conducted to predict the aerodynamic coefficients and aerodynamic loads of KSLV-II configuration designed at the system design phase. By the effects of exclusion of engine cowls of prior configuration, axial force and normal force decreased and center of pressure was much moved to the nose direction. Also, aerodynamic loads at flight and on the launch pad were predicted for structural load analysis. The computed results will be used for mission analysis and structural analysis at the next design phase.

초음속 마이크로노즐에 적합한 프로파일을 위한 공정변수의 최적화

  • 마이크로노즐은 우주공간에서 인공위성의 자세를 바로잡는 데 필요한 마이크로 로켓에 들어가는 필수적인 부품이다. 마이크로 노즐은 또한 나노입자 적층 시스템(nano-particle deposition system, NPDS)에 들어갈 수 있다. NPDS는 세라믹 또는 금속 나노분말 입자를 노즐을 통해 초음속으로 가속시킨 뒤 상온에서 이를 기판에 적층시키는 새로운 시스템이다. 본 연구의 목표는 NPDS에 쓰이는 노즐을 일반적인 반도체 공정을 이용하여 마이크론 스케일의 목을 갖도록 한 마이크로노즐을 제작하는 데 있다. 보쉬 공정은 이러한 마이크로노즐을 제작하는데 필수적인 공정으로, 유도결합플라즈마를 이용해 실리콘 웨이퍼를 식각시키는 기술을 말한다. 보쉬 공정에 사용되는 플라즈마 기체는 $SF_6$$C_4F_8$인데, 이 두 가지 기체를 번갈아가면서 사용하여 실리콘 웨이퍼를 이방성 식각하는 것이 그 특징이다. 보쉬 공정에는 다양한 변수가 존재하며 이를 적절히 통제하면 마이크로노즐에 적합한 프로파일을 실리콘 웨이퍼 내에 형성시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 보쉬 공정을 이용하여 3차원 마이크로 노즐을 제작하였다. 기존에 반응성이온식각(deep reactive ion etching, DRIE) 공정을 통해 마이크로노즐을 제작한 사례가 많이 보고되었지만 이들은 모두 2차원적으로 마이크로노즐을 제작하였다. 2차원적으로 제작한 마이크로노즐은 마이크로 로켓에 주로 사용되었지만, 초음속으로 가속된 분말이 노즐의 형상으로 인한 유체 흐름의 불안정성 때문에 NPDS에서는 오래도록 사용할 수 없다는 문제점이 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 마이크로노즐을 3차원 형상으로 제작함으로써 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다.

A Study on the Efficiency Improvement of a 3D Shape Measuring Apparatus With High Speed (고속 3차원 형상 측정 장치의 효율성 향상에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we designed a 3D shape measuring system with high speed and high measurement resolution using line-shaped sine stripes of a LCD projector We proposed an effective method to improve measurement efficiency for a 3D shape measuring system by finding the deficient shape information areas and recovering the shape information efficiently. We experimentally confirmed the improvement of measurement efficiency. Deficient shape information areas can be inevitably existed in a acquired image caused by the camera view angle and surface shapes of an object. The measurement efficiency is turned out to be improved by extracting these shadow areas and recovering the shape information efficiently using both a variable rated normalization and a variable sized phase recovering windows.
