Ontology Design of Semantic Case Based Reasoning System for the Share and Exchange of Sub-Cases (세부사례의 공유 및 교환을 위한 시맨틱 사례기반추론 시스템 온톨로지의 설계)

  • Case-based reasoning is a methodology for solving problems more quickly and efficiently by bringing the most similar case of a given problem from past cases and transforming it to fit the current situation. The most important performance indicator of case-based reasoning is the number of cases, so it is difficult to apply the methodology for the area which has not enough cases. In this paper, we proposed a method to exchange cases based on the Semantic Web in order to overcome the problems. Inparticular, we separated cases into sub-cases to make it possible creating new cases by combining the appropriate sub-cases even if there was no proper full case. In order to achieve that, we designed an ontology that connects a case and its sub-cases, represents detailed similarity rules that compare sub-cases, and represents the rules for the combination of sub-cases. Moreover, we designed and implemented a semantic distributed case-based reasoning framework where a case requester can request sub-cases via the Web from case providers and integrates sub-cases into a new case by using the ontology.

  • The earth volume which is the basis of all the construction has gone through great development so far with the use of construction machine; however, systematic studies on the related area is in need since the appropriate compound engineering method of earth volume equipments which is a key factor for shortening the project duration and cost reduction is not systematically established and it is dependent on experience. Reasonable mechanical earth volume should take into consideration of performance and characteristics of the equipment, the kind of project, scale and conditions in advance. Also, the optimum compound engineering should be planned by selecting several available scales of equipment. In this study, the earth volume estimate model is established for optimum compound engineering of earth volume equipment for mechanized earth volume equipment loading and moving stage among many stages of earth volume task using system dynamics technique. The optimum compound engineering model of the earth volume equipment produced as a result of this is expected to make reasonable decisions in the shortest time in selecting earth volume facility.

  • The earth work has been improved with the utilization of capital intensive equipments. However, work performance is not satisfactory yet due to its experience-oriented characteristics in selecting the combination of earth work equipments. Therefore, it is required to study on appropriate and systematic methods in selecting a set of equipments for earth work in order to optimize the cost and time as well as to improve the productivity. The objectives of this paper are as followed : (1) developing an optimum combination model of earth work equipments by using a system dynamics technique. (2) testing and evaluating the model by the sample application to a case study. The research is limited to the work of excavating, loading and hauling. The suggested model is proved in practice, so it will assist engineers to make the proper decision for equipment planning of earth work.

  • According to the recent revision of KS on the basis of the IEC, equipotential grounding systems has been come into focus and the use of surge protective devices(SPD) has been increased radically in order to operate the power system stably. $Z_nO$ varistor with non-linear resistance, which has an outstanding voltage-current(V-I) characteristic, is mainly used in power system to limit surge voltage and divert surge current. $Z_nO$ varistors are packaged several types based on the circuit assembly to be connected to a.c. power line. When the user assemble the $Z_nO$ varistors into parallel or series circuit package, there are my things to be taken into consideration including functions and thermal stability because they are directly related to the safety. We compare stabilities of each assembly type by measuring residual voltage, discharge current, leakage current and surface temperature concerned to the protection performances between a single device with a 40[kA] of current capacity and parallel or series circuits type of varistor package.

  • At the present time, the role and importance of information retrieval has greatly increased for two main reasons: the coverage of the searchable collections is now extensive and collection size may exceed several million documents; further more, the search results can now be obtained more or less instantaneously using online procedures and computer terminal devices that provide interaction and communication between system and users. The large collection size make it plausible to the users that relevant information will in fact be retrieved as a result of a search operation, and the probability of obtaining the search output without delay creates a substantial user demand for the retrieval services.

  • 셀룰러 이동통신은 언제 어디서나 저렴한 가격에 무선 통신 서비스를 제공하기 위한 가장 효율적인 방법으로 알려져 있다. 그간 무선 통신의 링크 성능 향상을 위해서 연구자들의 많은 노력이 있었지만, 셀의 크기를 줄여서 단위 면적당 성능을 향상시키는 것에 비해서 그 결과는 미미하였다. 그렇지만, 셀의 크기를 줄이는 Small Cell에서 앞으로 얼마나 Cell의 크기가 줄어들어야 할 것인가? 이 논문은 이와 같은 근본적인 질문에 답하면서, 실제 시스템에서 소홀히 다루어졌던 Relay에 대한 재 조망을 하고자 한다. 즉, Small Cell과 Relay의 적절한 조합을 통해서 미래 이동통신의 다양한 설계 목표 (주파수 효율, 에너지 효율, 저 비용)를 달성할 수 있다는 것을 개념적으로 설명하고자 한다. 미래 셀룰러 시스템은 Macro Cell과 Small Cell이 혼재함과 동시에 Relay가 적절히 조합되어 구성될 수 있다는 시각을 제공하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 시맨틱 웹 기반의 학술 정보 분석 서비스 프레임워크인 OntoFrame에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 2005년부터 개발되기 시작한 OntoFrame은 매년 새로운 서비스와 기술로 확장되고 있으며 OntoFrame2008에서는 다중 키워드 기반의 검색 서비스 및 다중 개체 중심적 통합 검색기능을 제공한다. 본 서비스는 키워드의 개체를 판단한 후에 인력, 주제, 인력+주제에 해당하는 서비스 API를 호출하여 추론 서비스 페이지를 구성한다. 이때 시스템에서 자동으로 판단되는 개체의 모호함을 제거하기 위해서 사용자의 의도라고 판단되는 최적의 개체 조합 페이지뿐만 아니라 해당 키워드에서 나타날 수 있는 모든 개체 조합의 후보 페이지들을 제공해주어 시스템의 일방적인 추천 서비스의 단점을 없앴다. 그리고 서비스의 결과로 제공되는 페이지에서 링크를 통한 추가조건 검색도 제공해 주어 사용자의 검색 의도를 정확하게 파악하여 편리한 정보 획득을 도와주는 시스템으로 개발하고 있다. OntoFrame2008은 여러 가지 풍부한 분석 서비스를 제공하여 연구자들이 학술 정보 검색 과정에 많은 도움이 되는 추론 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

A New Speech Quality Measure for Speech Database Verification System (음성 인식용 데이터베이스 검증시스템을 위한 새로운 음성 인식 성능 지표)

  • This paper presents a speech recognition database verification system using speech measures, and describes a speech measure extraction algorithm which is applied to this system. In our previous study, to produce an effective speech quality measure for the system, we propose a combination of various speech measures which are highly correlated with WER (Word Error Rate). The new combination of various types of speech quality measures in this study is more effective to predict the speech recognition performance compared to each speech measure alone. In this paper, we increase the system independency by employing GMM acoustic score instead of HMM score which is obtained by a secondary speech recognition system. The combination with GMM score shows a slightly lower correlation with WER compared to the combination with HMM score, however it presents a higher relative improvement in correlation with WER, which is calculated compared to the correlation of each speech measure alone.
