Cognitive Evaluation of Geometrical Structure on Express Highway with Driving Simulator (차량시뮬레이터를 이용한 고속도로 복합선형구간에서의 운전자 감성평가)

  • This study modeled 4-lane highway in three-dimensional virtual reality in order to overcome difficulties of field experiment. and the research subject was placed in a driving simulator. We survey the driver's cognitive characteristics to the alignment changes in the three-dimensional virtual reality highway. Especially, maximizing the identity of driving movements and virtual scenery on the basis of the data obtained by dynamic analysis module. we minimized simulator sickness for the graphic module of driving simulator. And we carried out cognitive evaluation on the basis of adjective words extracted by dictionary and the opinion of specialist. In this study LISREL model was used to detect the causal relation between geometry and safety in cognitive side, and found that geometric change affects the safety of drivers by static and dynamic road safety model in three-dimensional combined alignments. As the result, for constructing safety road. we consider drivers' cognitive characteristics as human factors in road design, and we think that they are very important factors to improve road safety.

A Design and Implementation of Flash Memory Simulator (플래시 메모리 시뮬레이터의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper introduces the design and implementation of a flash memory simulator to emulate a real flash memory. Since this simulator provides exact execution time information and parameter testing functions as well as the type, total capacity, block size, and page size of flash memory, it can be used as a real flash memory as viewed by the operating system. Furthermore, the simulator provides time logging functions of the internal routines of the flash memory management software allowing the monitoring of bottlenecks within the software. Finally, we show the performance measurements of applications under the Linux operating systems on both the simulator and a test board verifying the simulator's use as a replacement for real flash memory.

  • 내장형 시스템이 점점 복잡해지면서 하드웨어/소프트웨어 통합설계의 중요성은 더욱 부각되고 있다. 이 하드웨어/소프트웨어 통합설계의 핵심 요소는 하드웨어/소프트웨어 통합시뮬레이션이다. 내장형 시스템을 구성하는 여러 컴포넌트들을 통합시뮬레이션 할 때 이종의 여러 시뮬레이터들을 동시에 사용하는 경우가 많은데 이 때 가장 문제가 되는 점은 시뮬레이터 간의 동기화에 따른 성능 저하이다. 이를 개선하기 위해 가상 동기화 기법이 제안된 바 있다. 그러나 가상 동기화 기법도 느린 시뮬레이터의 속도에 종속 될 수밖에 없다. 보통 가장 느린 시뮬레이터는 하드웨어 RTL 시뮬레이터이다. 본 논문은 하드웨어 RTL 시뮬레이터를 FPGA 에뮬레이터로 대체하면서 가상 동기화 기법을 사용한 통합에뮬레이션 환경을 구축해 보았다. 가상 동기화 기법을 적용하는 것은, 가상 동기화 기법의 장점대로 가상 동기화 기법의 통합시뮬레이션 커널과 FPGA 에뮬레이터 사이에 통신을 할 수 있게 해주는 인터페이스 프로그램을 제작하는 것만으로 가능했고 이렇게 구축한 환경에서 H.263 디코더로 실험을 한 결과 약 2.5배의 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있었다.

Effect of Human Patient Simulator-based Education on Self-directed Learning and Collective Efficacy (환자시뮬레이터활용교육에서의 자기주도적 학습능력과 집단효능감의 변화)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of human patient simulator(HPS)-based education on self-directed learning(SDL) and collective efficacy(CE) for nursing students. This study design was one group pre-posttest. The subjects were 2nd grade 92 students enrolling in the integrated practice. They have no previous experience of HPS-based education. HPS-based education included team based learning, skill training, taking a high-fidelity simulation with Medical Education Technologies, Inc (METI) simulator and being debriefed during 12 weeks. The pretest and posttest were conducted to understand the improvement in SDL and CE. After the subjects had participated in the HPS-based education, they showed statistically significant higher SDL(t=4.24, p=0.000) than before. However, there was no significant change in CE. Based on the results, this study suggests that SDL for nursing students were significantly improved by HPS-base education.

  • In robotics classes, various types of materials about robotics are still needed for helping students to understand concepts easily, and it is difficult for all students to perform actual experiments because of the lack of the real robots. In order to solve these problems, this paper develops a web-based distance learning system for robotics, which consists of multimedia content sand a 3-dimensional robot simulator. Students can easily get multimedia contents and understand concepts about robots. Also, they can use a 3-dimensional robot simulator to Perform virtual robot experiments and connection experiments with real robots.

  • The Korean naval weapon systems, combat experiments establish the concept of Battle operations, and create the future of the new weapons system. Doctrine development and training as well as ranging from experiments for evaluate the performance of mission operations for combat experiments are used. The battle lab is effectively support tool for the Korean Naval battle experiments. The battle lab is through a dedicated testing facility and to build efficient and effective simulation-based acquisition supporting environment. In this paper, the ship / submarines C2 operations virtual simulator was developed to support the concept of Battle operations of naval combat experiments in training and tactical development. The ship C2 operations virtual simulator makes the anti-ship and anti-aircraft the engagement scenario for performed experiments using the SADM. The submarines C2 operations virtual simulator makes the anti-submarine engagement scenario for performed experiments using EAS. EAS System was created before reuse. EAS system by modifying the additional interfaces HLA-RTI has been reused. Reflected in the tactics and training after analysis of the results through the battle experiment. Also increase training fidelity through operator involvement. The anti-ship and anti-aircraft system architecture (SADM) and anti-submarine system architecture (EAS) requires unique design of system framework since two separate architectures should be integrated into a system. An C2 virtual linked architecture was used to integrate different system architecture. A C2 virtual linked software framework, designed that have integrated protocol for battle experimental linkage and battlefield visualization environment.

Simulator Development for LED Display Design (LED전광판 디자인을 위한 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • In this paper, an image based LED design simulator is proposed to reduce LED design cost mostly contingent on a design expert. Current techniques about LED design schemes have mostly treated text-based LED simulators. The proposed method is to provide novel and easy simulator for LED designers. At first, image filters including histogram equalization, bicubic interpolation. and scaling are employed. Color mapping and special effects are added as well. Experimental results classified into several categories along with running times are shown to validate the proposed methods.

  • Most of the available delay fault simulators for scan environments rely on the use of enhanced scan flip-flops and exclusively consider circuits composed of only discrete gates. In this research, a new path delay fault simulation algorithm using new logic values is devised to enlarge the scope to the VLSI circuits which consist of CMOS elements. Based on the proposed algorithm, a high speed path delay fault simulator for standard scan environments is developed. The experimental results show the new simulator is efficient and accurate.

A study on Prediction of Simulator Sickness in Driving Simulation (자동차 모의운전환경에서 Simulator Sickness의 예측에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 시뮬레이터나 그와 유사한 가상현실환경(Virtual Reality Environment ; VRE)에서 일어날 수 있는 Simulator Sickness가 어떤 사람들에게 쉽게 발생하는지를 예측하기 위하여 다중선형회귀(Multiple linear regression) 방정식으로 예측회귀모형을 제시하였다. 이 회귀모형에서의 종속변수는 김도희 외(1998)에 의해 개발된 RSSQ의 종합점수이고, 독립변수는 실제운전경력에 1을 더한 값에 나이를 곱한 값, 과거 멀미를 경험한 정도, 1주일 평균 동화상 시간, 현재의 건강상태로 되어져 있다. 이 회귀모형의 R2값은 약 0.52로 Kolasinski(1996)의 모델보다 설명력이 18% 증가하였고, 부수적인 별도의 실험을 하지 않고도 간단한 개인 신상에 관한 간단한 자료만으로도 훨씬 좋은 결과를 예측할 수 있게 되었다. 따라서 시뮬레이터나 가상현실에서 일어나는 Simulator Sickness가 어떠한 사람에게 걸리기가 쉬운지를 쉽게 예측할 수 있게 되었고, 이러한 사람들에게는 시뮬레이터나 가상현실의 이용을 자제시키거나 주의를 주어 특별관리 함으로써 시뮬레이터나 가상현실을 운영하는데 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

  • 새로운 임베디드 프로세서를 설계하거나 재설계하는 경우에 실제 하드웨어로 구현하기 전에 프로세서의 다양한 성능확인과 개선을 위해 소프트웨어적으로 검증할 수 있는 시뮬레이터와 같은 실험환경의 구축은 하드웨어 설계자 및 임베디드 소프트웨어 개발자에게 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 프로세서 설계자의 아키텍처 탐색과 성능측정 환경을 지원하기 위해 임베디드 프로세서를 위한 시뮬레이터를 인스트럭션-셋 캄파일 방식으로 설계한 후 모델을 제시한다. 또한 시뮬레이터를 구성하는 각 요소에 대한 기능적, 연결성 기술을 통해 실제적인 개발에 활용될 수 있도록 한다.
