What made stand out among these police procedurals was its focus on the importance of history to understand both the past and contemporary society and culture. Many of the cases involve aspects of history that are not part of mainstream narratives and constitute the unfinished business of America. The flashback sequences throughout the show visually and affectively transport the viewer back to an earlier historical moment. What all the victims have in common is that they refused to be silent or passive in the face of circumstances they believed were wrong, or they refused to conform to dehumanising and destructive social and cultural expectation. Those promoting these lies have the power to establish their version as the power to establish their version as the "truth" of what happened in context, but viewers are positioned to see the truth as the victims experienced it and to identify with them and against the power abusers. The Cold Case detectives pursue the ghosts of American history, restoring to our view stories of lives and experiences rendered invisible and unspeakable by dominant forms of knowledge and power. The series invites viewrs to empathize with the victim and to develop an ethical commitment to social justice in the future.

In this study, a carbonation test was conducted on cementitious composites reinforced with recycled waste rope fibers (W series) according to EN 12390-12 standards. The test results were compared to those of commercially available polypropylene fibers (P series). In the carbonation test, both the carbonation depth and area were significantly influenced by the water-to-cement ratio. Notably, the carbonation resistance performance of cementitious composites containing waste rope fibers surpassed that of commercially available PP fibers under equivalent conditions. Throughout the 250-day test period, the W series exhibited higher compressive strength values than the P series, while both series displayed a similar trend of strength increase during the same duration. During the initial stage, the W series exhibited flexural strength levels similar to those of the P series. However, in the later stages, the P series showed a higher mean flexural strength by 1.0 MPa.

1983년말에 출하된 FACOM VP시리즈는 고속성 및 범용컴퓨터와의 친화성을 특징으로 하는 시스템으로 여러 부문에서 좋은 평가를 얻어왔다. 슈퍼컴퓨터의 보급 때라 어플리케이션 프로그램은 거대화되었으며, 보다 대규모.고속의 처리능력을 가지는 시스템이 요구되어 왔다. 또한 컴퓨터 네트워크의 표준화/고속화는 슈퍼컴퓨터의 적용범위 확대에 중요한 요건이 되었다. FUJITSU는 이러한 시장 요건의 변화에 부응하기 위하여 1990년에 'VP 2000 시리즈'를 출하하였고, 개방화(OPEN CULTURE)에 대응하기 위하여 1991년에 UNIX슈퍼컴퓨터 'VPX 시리즈'를 출하하였다. 본 고에서는 슈퍼컴퓨터의 시장상황과 함께 VPX 시리즈에 관하여 소개하고자 한다.

일본의 게임문화에서는 서양 문화권과 달리 귀여움과 폭력성이라는 상반된 속성이 공존하며 성장하였다는 특징이 나타난다. 이는 일본의 전통적인 미의식과 연관되어 있다고 볼 수 있는데, 특히 게임 포켓몬스터 시리즈에서 이러한 경향이 두드러지는 것으로 보인다. 이 글에서는 포켓몬스터 시리즈와 페르소나 시리즈라는 두 게임 시리즈를 비교하여 귀여움이라는 속성이 게임에서 어떻게 기능하는 것인지 분석하도록 한다.

This study is on the variation of characters' role and desire in the series animation. For this study, Greimas Actant Model is used to analyze characters' role and behavior and Maslow's Motivation Theory is used to analyze the changing pattern in their desire. Finally, Joseph Campbell's Monomyth or Hero's Journey is used to analyze the whole narrative through all the series. For this analysis, this study chose series animation as a case, The study shows that the desire of the protagonist of series animation keeps escalating for higher values. On the contrary, the other characters' desire don't show any consistency. This result can be explained with monomyth frame. The escalation of the desire in natural because the whole series is a three consecutive episodes about the story of a person's turning over a new leaf and reunion of the parted family. Also, the escalation is originally plotted by the protagonist's expectation role in monomyth's three steps; self-awareness, accomplishment and ultimate freedom.
