A Study on the Development of Dewatering Mold Form for Performance Improvement of Concrete (콘크리트 성능개선을 위한 탈수거푸집공법의 실용화 연구)

  • Dewatering mold form get many holes on the surface to drain excessive water from combine concrete. While fiber is adhered to the forms inter surface, that makes it possible to improve concrete workability by draining excess water through the holes. We can expect the outer layer to solidify and to compact and get improvement of concretes durability. Maybe, it is valuable enough that dewatering mold form is put to practical use. On this study, the purpose is to obtain fundamental data for effective dewatering mold and properties of exposed concrete with the form, and ultimately, is to propose practical theory.

  • 최근 우리나라뿐만 아니라 전 세계적으로 고층건물의 규모가 점점 커짐에 따라 고층 건물은 초기단계에서부터 막대한 자원과 비용이 발생하고 도중에 설계변경이 어렵거나 불가능한 경우가 많아졌다. 때문에 초기구조설계과정과 실시설계, 시공과정에서의 차이를 최대한 줄이는 것이 사업의 경제성을 좌우할 만큼 중요한 비중을 차지한다. 이러한 정보를 제대로 관리할 초고층 BIM 정보환경이 구축된다면 발주자 설계자 시공자가 얻게 될 이익은 결코 적지 않을 것이다. S-BIM 프로세스 상에서 철골조를 형성하기 위해서는 세 단계의 프로세스를 거치는데 구조 해석 및 설계 단계, 구조 해석 및 설계 결과 데이터베이스 구축, 철골구조설계 및 형상화 모듈에 의한 부재 생성이다. 본 연구에서는 구조해석 및 설계(Analysis and Design, A&D) 데이터베이스를 C#코딩을 통해 형상, 길이 및 위치 정보를 결정하는 데 필요한 정보를 모듈 상에 불러오고, 이를 이용한 부재의 치수, 길이, 좌표 값을 산정하였다. 모듈 결과 생성된 정보를 BIM 플랫폼 상에 모델링함으로써 사용자 입력 값을 최소로 하여 기존 BIM 플랫폼의 모델링 방법 대비, 생산성이 향상된 철골구조설계의 자동화를 구현해 보고자 하였다.

  • Plastic board drain is one of the methods to reinforce weak soil, and it has been widely used because of economical efficiency, convenience of construction, and ease of quality control. The weight of PBD equipment which places PBD perpendicularly underground in the depth of 40m has to be minimized to obtain convenience installation and movement while standing against press drawing load. In this study, the performance of stability was evaluated with stress distribution at the steel construction of former equipment by structural analysis: And the steel construction which can increase strength while reducing the weight was also presented. As a result of this study, presented construction can obtain more stability by use of the weight 700kg lighter than the former one.

  • Grenfell Tower was renovated in 2014 and 2016 at a high cost to replace the exterior materials, windows and co-heating facilities of the building. The exterior materials used during the repair work were sandwich panels filled with polyethylene and plastic, which were expanded on the aluminum metal surface. It is a product called Celotex RS 5000, a low-resolution but inexpensive repair material, and is currently an external material that cannot be used in high-rise buildings. Similar domestic fire cases began to focus social attention on the safety of high-rise buildings through the Busan Residential Complex Fire (2010), Uijeongbu Urban Living Housing Fire (2015), and Ulsan Residential Complex Fire (2020), and residents' safety concerns are increasing. In Korea, the occurrence and risk of similar fires are high, so setting up fire prevention measures through fire case investigation is considered the most basic measure in securing human safety. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the status of fire damage caused by domestic and foreign eruptions, domestic and international research status and related regulations on external materials and windows starting from the Grenfell Tower fire in England.

Analysis of Core Tasks for Activate Modular Construction Projects in Korea (국내 모듈러 프로젝트의 활성화를 위한 핵심과제 분석)

  • As policy support for the modular construction method and measures to expand the market are being prepared, it is time to present and analyze clear tasks for activation. Therefore, this study aims to present core tasks for activating the modular construction method. The tasks were reviewed through analysis of existing research and supplemented through expert interviews to derive 30 core tasks. Following this, a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the important and urgent of these core tasks and to determine their priorities. The results of this study can contribute to a strategic approach for solving the core tasks necessary for revitalizing modular construction.

  • CFT structures require a diaphragm to prevent buckling of steel at connections. An outer diaphragm has better concrete filling than a through diaphragm due to a large bore, but due to the larger size than the through diaphragm, it has poorer constructability and cooperation with building equipment. The building structure has a floor slab that was unified with the upper diaphragm, so the outer diaphragm was placed at the upper bound. Moreover, the through diaphragmwas placed at the lower connection to avoid obstruction of the building equipment. The CFT structure with the improved concrete filling showed the same structural behavior as the CFT structure with the use of the same type of diaphragms at the upper and lower connections.

  • As customers are becoming increasingly important in corporate management, there is a growing demand for migration to customer-focused organizational structures. Unlike the manufacturing industry, the construction industry is non-iterative and non-standardized. As a result, a wide variety of materials, human resources, technologies and equipment must be mobilized in complex work activities to complete a structure. Consequently, surprises are bound to occur as such work activities progress. This paper intends to study a strategy that is designed to improve customer services for apartment building units. It aims primarily to focus on cost control and brand management. Housing tenants and industry experts are surveyed to collect input for issue analysis. In addition, the external circumstances and internal capabilities of major builders in Korea are analyzed, and a SWOT analysis is performed regarding market conditions related to customer service. These analysis results are utilized to develop a strategy implementation plan over different time frames, and the operational resources available for such strategy implementation are analyzed in order to forecast its performance. This research will facilitate communication between construction companies in Korea and their customers by proposing a customer service improvement strategy for apartment building units, and is expected to provide resource material for a strategic analysis of efforts to fully incorporate customer requirements

  • The construction industry in Korea has seen significant improvements in quality management techniques, driven by the dramatic development of new technology through Manhattanization and enlargements, but compared with technical development, the level of building quality improvement is still lagging behind. In the meantime, as the interest in construction quality soars due to changes in user consciousness, the level of quality that is being demanded is rising. The government has reinforced quality systems by implementing responsible supervision requirements and granting overseas companies permission to enter the supervision business in Korea, and private sector companies also are attempting quality improvement through quality assurance approaches like the preliminary qualification screening system and ISO 9000 series. But currently, building constructions are done only according to the construction specifications of project owners, whose design, materials and construction methods are already decided, and do not leave any necessity or opportunity for technical developments for the quality improvement of contractors. Therefore, in this study, a work process and system improvement plan for payment regulations is proposed, with which contractors can secure quality voluntarily in the building construction phase.

  • The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport was developed the Construction CALS system for improvement of the construction economy. Construction CALS system is consist by Construction Portal System, Construction Management System, Construction Authorization and Permission System, Compensation Management System, Facility Maintenance Management System and has utilized at construction site of more than 900. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and related researcher was proposed method of various function improvements for usability of the system. However, the proposed method was expanded the problems like increase of system management cost and development cost with decrease of data process rate. The problem was increases because has added of only service function without modify of software structure to the system on each different platform base. One of the methods for solving problems is to apply the e-Government framework and then integrated the different platform. The purpose of this paper is analyse of the applicability and efficiency of e-Government framework to the construction CALS system. For that was analyzed the e-Government standard framework and the developments case. And then was verified about the adaption possibility and efficiency by use the Function Point tool.

  • Since 2005, the government began to introduce and promote a new project delivery system, BTL(Build, Transfer, and Lease), in order to provide high level of public services for the upgraded quality of life and to boost the domestic and local construction economy. However, the lack of experiences in the new system by the constituents from diverse economic sectors brought a number of drawbacks from each constituent's perspective such as improperly low earning rate, excessive expenses for preparation of the project proposal, imbalanced regulations, heavy cost and procedures to establish SPC, the ineffective structure of the consortium, the short-term oriented evaluation criteria for the selection and so forth. These drawbacks turned out to be obstacles for the successful BTL projects. Hence, this paper analyzes the above issues and conducts the interviews with the professionals from the diverse sectors in order to propose the changes to resolve those for the improvement and finally to deliver the successful BTL projects for the diverse public owners.
