An Analysis of the Time-Lag Effect on the Investment of Informatization for Industrial Human Resources (정보화사업 투자에 대한 시차효과 분석: 산업인력정보화 중심)

  • Understanding of the length of time required to realize the return on the investment of informatization is important for policy makers and decision makers of information system adoption. Previous researchers, however, assessed this issue with the performance measurement approach that was primarily based on static point of view. However, the static analysis on the outcome of the informatization investment is limited in measuring the priori and ex ante effects of the informatization implementation on temporal basis. This study present a methodology to capture the outcome of the informatization investment on dynamic basis. This assessment was performed based on an e-government project in Korea, called "Industry Human Resource Project." Particularly, the study addressed how long it takes to obtain the benefit of WorkNet System, which was part of this Korean e-government project. We proposed various approaches to illustrate the importance and temporal effect of the WorkNet System by analyzing DB data, time reduction of WorkNet business processes and return of investment of IT.

Non-coherent TOA Estimation Method based on IR-UWB in Multiple SOP Environments (다중 SOP 환경하에서 IR-UWB 기반의 Non-coherent TOA 추정 기법)

  • This paper proposes a novel non-coherent TOA estimation scheme using multiple correlation process on the existence of multiple simultaneously operating piconets (SOPs). Impulse radio-ultra wideband (IR-UWB) based on direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) using Gold sequence is employed in order to discriminate each piconet. In order to enhance the characteristic of correlation, this paper presents the method of multiple mask operation (MMO). The time of arrival (TOA) of direct line of sight (DLOS) path is estimated via two step coarse/fine timing detection. To verify the performance of proposed scheme, two distinct channel models approved by IEEE 802.15.4a Task Group (TG) are considered. According to the simulation results, it could conclude that the proposed scheme have performed better performance than the conventional method well even in densed indoor multi-path environment as well as in the existence of multiple SOPs.

  • A deadlock is a condition in which the excessive demand for the resources being used by others causes activities to stop and it is one of the important problems in process control system to detect and prevent deadlocks. While the reachability analyze methods or divide subnets for analyzing methods are well used, it requires a lot of times and effects to analyze the detection of the deadlock status. Furthermore, it could not be effective if the model is complex or huge. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new and more efficient deadlock detection algorithm. In this paper, a deadlock detection conditions after analyzed the Petri Net using the transitive matrix has been proposed to solve these problems. For presenting the results, the suggested deadlock detection algorithm was also adapted to an illustrated FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) model.

  • This paper introduces a Petri Net-based multimedia programming method. For this purpose, we are proposing MPN(Multimedia Petri Net) which can be used for representing a multimedia scenario. We are also introducing methods to analyze a MPN with which we can detect some kinds of design faults in the scenario. A multimedia program replays the scenario by interpreting the MPN. A method to implement such a multimedia program is also discussed. Our multimedia program provides the manipulation functions of stop, play, fast forward. rewind, and fast rewind. There are many varieties of Petri Net. Several of them are for modeling multimedia scenarios. They all have been used for synchronization analysis. But none of them were used for replaying multimedia scenario. We have extended these nets to MPN. A MPN model contains not only the flow of a scenario but also all the information associated with the data units. Therefore, our player can play the multimedia scenario by interpreting the MPN.

  • 최근 대부분의 정보시스템은 웹기반 정보시스템으로 이주하고 있으며 이의 개발과 유지보수시에 '웹 위기' 현상이 발생하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 웹엔지니어링 기술 중 웹기반 비즈니스 프로세스 명세 기술이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웹기반 비즈니스 프로세스 명세를 위한 BPN(Business Process Net) 모형을 제시한다. BPN 모형은 베타분포형 확률 패트리넷이며 수행가능형 Activity Diagram이라 할 수 있다. BPN을 모형화할 때 Use Case 분석을 이용하며, 비즈니스 프로세스의 수행 시간 및 비용적 불확실성은 베타분포를 이용하고 있다. BPN 모형은 XML 기반 비즈니스 프로세스 명세언어를 위한 공통 명세모형으로 이용될 수 있다.

  • 오늘날 인터넷에서 멀티미디어 컨텐트는 날로 다양해지고 있으며 특히 무선망에서 미디어 스트리밍에 대한 요구는 점점 커지고 있다. 그런데 무선망은 낮은 대역폭과 높은 전송 에러율로 인하여 유선망과 같은 스트리밍 서비스를 제공하기가 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 자바로 스트리밍 시스템을 구현하고, 이를 이용하여 무선망에서의 스트리밍 특성을 살펴본다. 본 논문에서 수행된 실험은 CDMA 2000 무선 인턴넷 환경을 배경으로 하며, 패킷 전송 시간(round trip time:RTT)과 패킷 손실 양상을 관찰하고 이에 따라 무선망에서 적합한 패킷 손실 복구나 버퍼링 기법의 필요성을 제안한다.

  • This study analyzes cable TV Program "From Start to Till the End" televised by ONGAMENET from 2009 to 2015. "From Start to Till the End" is a game program that guests try to finish certain game or to complete mission once they started. Unlike other game programs, most of guests are not professional gamers thus it brings out comical challenges and enjoyments. This study examines the several components of video games played in the program. Specifically, those components are categorized according to the genre, platform, nationality, and clear time. In doing so, this study not only unpacks diverse structures of the program but also provides the blueprint of the game program.

  • ETL(Extraction, Transformation, Loading)작업은 데이터웨어하우스 시스템 구축 및 유지관리 뿐만 아니라 차세대 정보시스템 구축의 핵심 프로세스에 해당한다. 특히 차세대 정보시스템 구축에 있어서 ETL 작업의 성능은 시스템오픈의 성패를 좌우하는 중요한 요소이다. 일반적으로 차세대시스템 구축의 데이터 전환을 위해 수행되는 ETL작업은 대용량데이터에 대한 다양한 형태의 데이터변형 과정을 수반하며 반드시 정해진 시간안에 완료되어야 한다. 또한, 수 많은 원천 집합을 추출하여 타겟시스템의 형태에 맞게 변형 및 적재하는 작업은 한정된 컴퓨팅 자원내에서 수행되어야 한다. 따라서 자원성능을 고려한 ETL작업 스케줄 최적화는 데이터전환 작업에 있어 필수적인 고려사항이 된다. 이 연구에서는 가용한 물리자원을 최대한 활용하여 ETL 프로세스의 처리능(throughput)을 최대화 하는데 초점을 맞추어, ETL프로세스를 페트리넷을 이용해 모델링하는 기법을 제시한다. 이 모델에는 ETL 프로세스가 수행될 서버의 컴퓨팅자원이 토큰화(tokenize)되어 포함된다. 이 모델을 기반으로 가용자원을 최대한 활용하면서도 자원병목이 발생하지 않는 수준으로 ETL 작업이 수행될 수 있도록 프로세스를 제어할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

  • In this paper we propose a Mobile Petri-net Model (MPM) as a new specification model including the QoS parameter that minimizes the transmission delay time. In MPM, we propose a playing time algorithm for supporting the seamless presentation and the smooth playing. The proposed model has a higher guarantee of QoS such as playing time than the previous work.

  • In this paper, we propose a BTPN (Beta-distributed Timed Petri Net) model which is not only an effective multimedia synchronization and authoring specification model, but also a direct control model for playout of a title. Methods of specification of relationships among all media objects in a title by using the BTPN structure and language, as well as methods of analysis of the BTPN by means of a Remaining Timed Reachability Graph and Timing diagram, are proposed. A concept of critical object path, coming from PERT/CPM, is useful for modeling the uncertainty of playout of a multimedia title and editing of title.
