The purpose of this study was to propose information services for people with disabilities in the culture and art complex. As a research method, group interviews were conducted. Data were collected from three different groups of people with physical disabilities, hearing impairments, and visual impairments in order to investigate specific information services for these groups of people. The results of the information services needed were indicated, based on four sections: the center web pages, information desk, orientation area, and information search area. Specifically, the results showed that more active supports would be provided at the information desks for people with hearing impairments and visual impairments as well as facilities for people with physical disabilities. In the orientation area, special equipment would be provided for people with hearing impairments and visual impairments, and exclusive seats for wheelchair users. For further studies, a detailed research about the information behavior for visitors with disabilities in the culture and art complex would be needed.

The seriousness of a traffic accident appears relatively higher on the curve sections compared with the straight sections due to a change in speed caused by a change in the driver's sight. In particular, the visual distortion phenomenon, one of the dangerous factors taking place on the curve sections, appears different according to the road's geometric design. Although it is a genuinely principal design factor which should be necessarily considered in designing a road, the previous researches on establishing the design standards for it have been insufficiently conducted. As a result, the establishment of the road design standards for the curve sections considering the sight distortion phenomenon is desperately required. This research examined the previous researches on the driver's behaviors, the driver's sight characteristics and the perceived curve radius on the curve sections, and developed the theoretical model of perceived curve radius to which a mathematical technique is applied in consideration of the visual distortion phenomenon on the two-lane curve sections in a local area. In addition, after the theoretical visual distortion was calculated on the basis of the theoretical model of perceived curve radius, the range of error on the theoretical recognition radius model formula was verified through comparing it with the previous researches' experiential visual distortion level and analyzing both of them. As a result, it was observed that as the curve radius practically increases in the theoretical recognition curve radius, the range of error tends to go down, which reflects well the characteristics of the curve sections on the road. Based on this research, it is expected that this research will be helpful to eliminate the safety defects when designing the curve sections and contribute to develop the road design standards considering human factors in the future.

Overseas direct investment is constantly on the rise, while domestic investment has been slowing and has led to concerns that the expansion of overseas investment may be weakening domestic investment. Considering the change of environment as economic growth, this paper analyzes the relationship between domestic and overseas investment using a regression tree. The result shows that overseas investment substituted domestic investment in the past (before 1985); however, they compensated for each other during the rapid growth period based on exports (1986-1997). The relationship turns out to be insignificant after the Asian currency crisis(after 1998). In addition, this paper also examines the factors determining domestic facilities investment and overseas direct investment at each stage of the changes in their influence due to globalization. Taking into account the results, we need to re-evaluate the current pattern of corporate investment apart from the past restricted point of view to help domestic enterprises efficiently utilize the international production network and resources.

컴퓨터 네트워크의 발달로 인터넷이 실생활이 되면서, 온라인에서 인스턴트 메신저를 이용한 커뮤니케이션 방식이 확대되고 있다. 이러한 메신저에서는 이모티콘 및 플래시콘 혹은 윙크 등 과 같은 다양한 방식을 통해 감정을 표현할 수 있도록 제안하고 있다. 하지만, 아직까지 온라인의 감정표현은 흥미위주이며, 오프라인의 다양한 감정표현에 비해서 제한적이다 따라서 오프라인에서의 다양한 사용자 감정표현을 온라인에서 표현해 줄 수 있는 새로운 형태의 감성 커뮤니케이션 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 인스턴트 메신저의 사용행태 이해를 통해서 사용자들의 요구사항을 파악하고 이를 통해 제안할 수 있는 커뮤니케이션 방법을 모색하고자 한다. 실생활에서 사용자의 감정표현 방법을 바탕으로 온라인 메신저에 적용하여 새로운 감성 커뮤니케이션 방법을 제안하는 연구로, 감정어휘와 표현방법의 사용자 조사를 통해 감정표현 방법에 대한 컨셉을 제안하였다. 우선 메신저 사용 행태와 요구사항 도출을 위한 사용자 FGI를 진행하였다. 사용자 FGI로 얻어진 사용자들의 메신저 사용행태를 통해, 텍스트와 모션을 활용하는 '텍스트콘'을 컨셉 아이디어로 도출하였다. 아이디어에 적용하기 위해 모션을 감정으로 인해 파생되는 행동과 체감각 요소로 구분하였다. 구체적인 표현방법 및 적용 요소를 추출하기 위한 방법으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며 감정어휘와 표현방법(행동, 체감각)을 추출하였다. 추출된 내용은 '사용자 참여 관찰' 기법을 활용하여, 사용어휘와 행동을 정리하고 구제화하여 그 결과를 '텍스트콘'에 적용하였다. 본 연구는 사용자들이 메신저를 이용한 감정표현에 있어 텍스트를 선호하고 텍스트에 대한 요구사형에 있음을 확인하였으며, 감정표현 컨셉 아이디어 '텍스트콘'을 도출하였다. '사용자 참여 관찰' 기법을 활용하여 기존의 이모티콘으로 대표되는 그래픽 아이콘 중심의 사용자 감정표현 방법을 보조해줄 수 있는 방법으로 실생활에서 사용자가 표현하고 받아들이는 신체언와 행동을 적용하였다는 것에 그 의의가 있다. 또한, 감정에 의한 생리적 반응 요소를 외적인 반응과 내적인 반응으로 구분하여, '체감각'이라고 하는 내적반응을 중심표현방법으로 삼아, 기존과는 다른 시각으로 접근할 수 있었다.

Recent performing-art has a trend to be new cultural contents style which mixes various genre not just traditional way. Especially in stage performance, unique performance is playing using high technology and image. In sound performance, one of technology, a new experiment is trying which re-analyze the sound and mixes the result with image. But in public performance we have a technical difficulty with making visualization regarding the sound in realtime. Because we can not make visualization with instant sound from performers and audience it is difficult to interact smoothly between performer and audience. To resolve this kind of restriction, this paper suggests Real-time sound visualization. And we use string music instrument for sound source. Using the MaxMSP/Jitter based the Midi, we build image control system then we test and control the image with Korg Nano Kontrol. With above experiment we can verify verious emotion, feeling and rhythm of performer according to performance environment and also we can verify the real time interactive image which can be changed momently by performer's action.

This study proposes visualization methods of the diurnal passenger flows on the Metropolitan Seoul Subway system (MSSs) and examines the passenger trip behaviors of major central business districts (CBDs). We mine the MSS passenger flow information from a single day T-card passenger trip transaction database. It is practically intractable to analyze such flows, involving huge, complex space-time data, by means of general statistical analysis. On the other hand, dynamic visualizations of the passenger flows make it possible to analyze intuitively and to grasp effectively characteristics of the passenger flows. We thus propose several methods to visualize the passenger flow information. In particular, we visualize dynamic passenger flows of each link on the subway network and analyze the time-space characteristics of passenger ridership for the three major CBDs. As the result, we can ascertain the strong association between CBD and subway line and clarify the distinction among three major CBDs in the diurnal patterns of subway passenger flow.

The present study aimed at investigating the strengths and weaknesses of a mobile personal health record (PHR) application and identifying its impacts on consumer health information behavior. For the study, twenty-seven college students used a PHR application for three months, based on which the study conducted paper-based interviews with them. The results of content analysis highlighted the benefits of the PHR such as supporting preventive healthcare and motivating and providing specific guidelines for healthy lifestyles by utilizing visual interface design, sharing the data with family and assisting caregivers to manage patients' healthcare, and above all enhancing the interaction between patients and healthcare professionals. However, the study found the drawbacks of the PHR such as a lack of data entry for strength training and the incompatibility with other healthcare applications. The participants were motivated to change their health behaviors in ways such as getting rid of sleep disorders, avoiding alcohol and smoking tobacco, and losing weight, and changing eating habits. Some consumers improved self-efficacy by changing their health behaviors, while the PHR provided emotional supports to the consumers who wanted to improve their health. The present study has an academic significance because the study of PHR is a burgeoning area in Korea. The study provides insights for promoting health and medical information services to cope with the paradigm shift of healthcare fields.

The following research investigates core factors required for IT professionals to achieve and remain happy on their jobs through dynamic and structural CLD and suggests personal, organizational, and government level (happiness) promoting factors. Researcher adopted the system dynamics methodology which is qualitative research techniques pursue behavior probability by using CLD. It spotlights 6 CLD: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, positive sensitivity, negative sensitivity, amicable relationship, job sustainment intention, in addition to numerous factors that affect them from an integrative perspective. It differentiates itself from one-way relationship focused qualitative research to an advanced mutual and realistic perspective exploratory research.

In order to solve the user's information overload problem, recommender systems infer users' preferences and suggest items that match them. The collaborative filtering (CF), the most successful recommendation algorithm, has been improving performance until recently and applied to various business domains. Visual information, such as book covers, could influence consumers' purchase decision making. However, CF-based recommender systems have rarely considered for visual information. In this study, we propose VizNCS, a CF-based deep learning model that uses visual information as additional information. VizNCS consists of two phases. In the first phase, we build convolutional neural networks (CNN) to extract visual features from image data. In the second phase, we supply the visual features to the NCF model that is known to easy to extend to other information among the deep learning-based recommendation systems. As the results of the performance comparison experiments, VizNCS showed higher performance than the vanilla NCF. We also conducted an additional experiment to see if the visual information affects differently depending on the product category. The result enables us to identify which categories were affected and which were not. We expect VizNCS to improve the recommender system performance and expand the recommender system's data source to visual information.

In 1944 Hans Asperger reported odd bizzare 400 children who showed autism like clinical symptoms but had higher intelligence and relatively intact speech function. He named these child 'autistic psychopathy'. Since them there were many controversial views about this syndrome. Some regards Asperger syndrome as the high functioning autism variant or preschizophrenic childhood condition or childhood form of schizoid personality disorder. Though there were still many controversy, recently ICD-10, DSM-IV accepted Asperger's syndrome as a distinct subtype of pervasive developmental disorder. The authors reviewed the history and conceptual changes of Asperger syndrome and summarized the interesting recent research findings. In addition, the authors argue that this syndrome has some linkage with autism and schizoid personality disorder and proposed that these is disorders do have common defect in social instinctual development.
