A Co-Development Environment for Visual Programming (시각 프로그래밍을 위한 공동 개발 환경)

  • 시각(Visual) 프로그램 개발은 프로그램 엔진 모듈에 대한 개발과 함께, 사용자 인터페이스 설계로 인해 더 많은 개발 시간과 노력을 필요로 한다 빠르고 효과적인 시각 프로그램 개발을 위해 개발자의 능력과 업무 분야에 맞게 시각 프로그램의 엔진 부분과 사용자 인터페이스 코드를 나누어 개발하는 것이 바람직하다. 분업화된 시각 프로그램 개발은 동시에 여러 개발자의 참여를 가능하게 할 수 있다. 그러나, 오프라인 회의를 통한 공동 개발은 개발자간의 공간적, 시간적 독립성을 보장하지 못하며, 즉각적인 협의를 제한하기 때문에 비효율적이다 본 논문은 개발자간 개발 독립성과 협동성을 동시에 만족하는 네트워크 기반의 시각 프로그램 공동 개발 환경을 제안한다. 제안하는 공동 개발 환경은 개발 시각 프로그램을 내부 로직과 사용자 인터페이스로 나누어 개발이 가능하며, 각 개발자의 독립적 개발을 보장하고, 개발자간 필요한 의견과 정보 교환을 지원하는 협업 프로그램 개발 환경이다.

구글 어스 서비스를 활용한 전자문화지도의 설계

  • 전자문화지도는 지도를 인터페이스로 문화와 관련된 정보를 디지털화시켜 나타내는 시스템이며 공간데이터와 문화정보의 연계를 통해 다양한 정보를 제공한다. 이는 문화와 관련된 정보를 시 공간데이터와의 조합을 통해 유기적으로 연계된 형태의 정보를 효율적으로 검색할 수 있다. 기존의 전자문화지도는 2차원 지도(베이스맵)에 점, 선, 면 데이터를 활용해 정보를 표현하는 방법이 대부분이다. 이는 3차원 공간을 2차원 평면으로 표현하기 때문에 지리적 왜곡, 입체감 결여 등의 문제점을 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 구글 어스에서 제공하는 3차원 형태의 지도서비스를 활용하여 전자문화지도를 설계한다. 전자문화지도는 문화(주제), 시간, 공간 데이터를 조합하여 검색이 가능하며 이는 지역연구의 방법으로 활용할 수 있다. 또한 3차원 지도를 활용해 시각적인 효과를 높임으로써 사용자의 사용성 및 이해도를 향상시킬 수 있다.

A Study on the Planning at the Pilotis Spaces of the Public Apartment Housing (Focused on the Structural Change) (임대아파트 필로티 공간의 계획에 관한 연구 (라멘구조로의 구조적 변화를 중심으로))

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the present conditions of the pilotis spaces of the public apartment housing and to suggest the future planning means of the spaces. At the present time, most of the pilotis space has been constructed in wall-bearing method. However, post and beam method(or Rahmen) will be used due to the municipal public-housing policy. Observation of seven(7) different locations and twenty-eight(28) blocks, and interview with the residents were employed to gather the data. Regarding functional relevance, six types of the space were selected, and planning suggestions for each type were followed. Among others, the conclusions include: the pilotis space should be planned as an interior for the future, as well as it should be open enough to secure the view from the surroundings.

A Visual Weighting-Based Bit Allocation Algorithm for H.264 Scalable Extension(SE) (H.264 스케일러블 확장을 위한 시각적 가중치 기반 비트 할당 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a novel bit allocation algorithm for H.264 scalable extension(SE) based on a human visual system (HVS) to improve the coding efficiency. The proposed algorithm is consist of two stages: visual weighting model and visual weighting-based bit allocation algorithm. In the first stage, the visual weighting for each macroblock (MB) is analyzed according to the region of interests. Then the adaptation of the visual weighting into the bit allocation routine for each quality layer is performed for improving the visual quality. In the simulation results, it is observed that the proposed scheme can improve the subjective and objective video quality in the same bit rate, compared to the previous scalable video coding in H.264.

  • Recently, many advanced video application services over the mobile wireless networks have required a transcoder which can efficiently reduce the size of compressed video bitstreams. The transcoder can be worked in either the spatial domain or the DCT domain. In this paper, we propose a new fast hybrid-type transcoder which can efficiently reduce the frame size with keeping the visual quality. The proposed scheme consists of two major processes: a transform domain process and a spatial domain process. We also propose a scheme for coding mode selection and motion vector refinement. Experimental results show that our approach can reduce the computational complexity more than any other conventional spatial-domain transcoder with keeping the visual quality.

  • The horizon of using GIS technologies can be expanded to analyzing spatial changes by time in reality. Traditional GIS technologies usually use maps for a snapshot aspect of spatial information. Limitations of the present GIS technologies in terms of dealing with spatial changes require more solutions for collecting, processing and analyzing spatial data with time. Traditional GIS technologies include Temporal GIS, Real-time GIS and Virtual GIS respectively but those are not capable enough to represent spatial change in an overall perspective. By reflecting dynamic changes the current GIS technologies can be more useful and valuable than before. This study assumes that '4D GIS', a composite of temporal, realtime and virtual GIS technology, will open a new horizon for the future sophisticated GIS applications. By identifying a technology application model for 4D GIS the new concept of 4D GIS can be clarified. The model is established by combining dynamic spatial information types and applicable 4D GIS technologies, which are identified from the most current 4D application and research efforts. The technology application model for 4D GIS can be expected to contribute to efficient in planning for 4D GIS technology development in the future.he future.

Adaptive Watermarking Algorithm Using Fuzzy Reasoning and Hybrid Scheme (퍼지추론과 혼합기법을 적용한 적응적 워터마킹 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, adaptive watermarking algorithm which based on fuzzy reasoning and hybrid scheme is presented. To enforce the time and space complexity, hybrid scheme which utilize a color information as well as visual characteristics is also addressed. Proposed approach have double-aim: in first to use the visual characteristics so as to enforce the robustness of watermarking, and in second to select the optimal sub-band which is to be embedded a watermark. One of the principal advantage is that this approach involved the fuzzy inference module which is designed to select an optimal sub-band from the DWT coefficient blocks. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed algorithm, some numerical experiments of robustness and imperceptibility are evaluated with respect to such attacks as JPEG compression, noise and cropping.

Still Image Watermarking in the DCT Domain Using the Human Visual System (DCT 영역에서의 인간의 시각적 특성을 이용한 정지 영상 워터마킹 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a digital watermarking method for still images, in which the human visual system (HVS) is used in the discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain. The modulation transfer function (MTF) of the HVS model is employed to increase the invisibility of the inserted watermark in images. The proposed watermarking method is shown to be robust to several common image processing techniques, including lowpass filtering and cropping. Also, using the energy relationship of the DCT, we derive the equation that directly computes the watermark weighting factor in the DCT domain for the specified peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) of the still image and the length of watermark to be inserted. The difference between desired PSNR and PSNR in spatial domain is within 0.07dB for the 7 test images.

  • 고객의 통신 니즈가 다양해지고 통신 인프라가 대용량, 고속화 되고 단말이 지능화됨에 따라 이를 기반으로 IPTV의 셋탑, 컴퓨터 모니터, 이동통신 핸드폰이 이르기 까지 다양한 화면 사이즈의 단말을 통하여 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 이를 위해 원영상을 화면의 크기에 적합하게 크기를 변환하는 영상 리사이징 기술을 이용하게 되며, 그 방식은 DCT 방식과 공간 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. DCT방식은 원영상의 고주파 영역의 조정하여 크기를 변화하는 방식으로 열화는 최소화되나 DCT 변환을 위한 계산량이 많고 고정 크기 블록을 사용하므로 유연성이 떨어진다. 공간영역은 객관적인 평가에서 품질이 열화되더라도 시각적으로 눈에 민감한 영역의 변화를 최소화하는 것이다. 본 논문은 인간시각시스템을 기반으로 눈의 민간도가 높은 망막 이심율이 작은 영역에서는 DCT블록의 크기를 변화를 최소화시키고 망막이심율이 큰 영역에서는 블록의 변화를 크게 하는 가변 블록방식을 제안한다. 이를 통해 우수한 영상 품질을 확보하면서도 시각적으로 뛰어난 리사이징 영상을 얻을 수 있다.

A Visual Image Analysis of Byungsan-seowon by an Attribute of View (조망지향 속성에 따른 병산서원의 경관이미지 특성)

  • This study analyzes the systematic visual images and factors in and outside of the main courtyard in Byungsan-seowon. The results are as follows; In terms of space distribution, Ip-kyo-dang is located at an elevation of 85m and the distance to Byung-san is 365m. Byung-san with the mean gradient over $50^{\circ}$ looked so stiff, and the east side of that cliff is higher than west. In terms of the angle of elevation relationship between Man-dae-ru and Byung-san draw 10.5 degree and it suits with human scale. The D/H ratio of 1:3 makes the given place very spacious but the linear stiff shape of Byung-san may cause the feeling of closeness. The results of the visual image analysis of the main yard facing Byung-san is very positive with a score of 1.70 in openness, 1.78 in wideness, 1.96 in beauty, 1.96 in harmony for the spacious arrangement which overall, makes the seowon beautiful with many open spaces. There are 4 main implicated factors analyzed which are uniqueness, aesthetic, openness and nature. Out of the total variables, these factors' descriptive ability is 55.90% and the remaining 44.10% is error and peculiarities variables. The factor which contributed most to Byungsan-seowon's main yard's visual preference was the 'aesthetic' with B-values of 0.661 and 0.455 in the nature category.
