A semiotic approach to modern visual arts has emerged since French post-structuralism was introduced to Anglo -American academics by "deconstruction" or "postmodernism." It views a work of art as a sign, which is its methodical assumption ana at the same time makes its application more accessible In the milieu of modern visual arts'effort to be intimate to with general audience, modern art photography is now faced with the request to be a familar and universal domain instead of being left only in photo books as artistic and academic achievements More specifically, various photo images 1mm such visual media as newspapers TVs, and computer graphics to such megaexhibitions as "Gwangju Biennale," "Media City Seoul," and "Pusan International Art Festival," are main objects of s030y. The study was to improve the right to the enjoyment of culture of persons with visual impairment by increasing the accessibility to art exhibitions and exploring assistive measures through needs assessment survey of persons with visual impairment on arts exhibition. We used total 83 responses collected through an online survey. The result are as follows. First, watching movies at a teather was the most frequent leisure activity among persons with visual impairment, while respondents reported attending art exhibitions as the least frequent activity. Yet, 71.1% included attending art exhibitions as one of their top 5 culture and leisure activities. Most of the respondents reported the purpose of attending art exhibitions as fun. However, a primarily visual atmosphere prevented them from visiting the exhibition. Second, persons with visual impairment preferred approaching the art to have a closer look. More than about 50% of the respondents used their residual vision. Most of the respondents reported to use more than two senses when appreciating the exhibits. Moreover, respondents reported that devices/services for multi-sensory experiences would be helpful to appreciate the art. The findings imply that the consideration of the characteristics and needs of persons with visual impairment is required for establishing the environment of art exhibitions. This could further contribute to the improvement of the right to the enjoyment of leisure and culture of persons with visual impairment and lead to the realization of social integration.

This paper examines the historical meaning and value of sound art curating as a key type of interdisciplinary and convergence art practice that has been unfolding since the mid-20th century. Accordingly, this paper summarizes the developmental process from the beginning of 'sound art' to the present, but examines the context of visual art in which the material 'sound' functioned in chronological order, and focuses on curating cases of major sound art exhibitions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact and contemporary significance of the provided aesthetic experience. To this end, the text is divided into three sections and developed. The first section recognizes that the late 19th century futurist and Dadaist sound poetry, followed by Marcel Duchamp's 1913 attempt to combine musical score with visual art, had a profound influence on the visual music of avant-garde composer John Cage. This explains why this background caused the emergence of exhibitions dealing with 'sound' as a new medium. The second section explains that in the 1970s, sound as an artistic medium played a role in reflecting the critical relationship with the exhibition space dominated by visuality. In the third section, we analyze the curatorial methodology that allows the audience to experience sound as if it were a visual object within the organization of the exhibition hall from the 1980s to the present. Through this process, this paper critically treats the historical practice of customizing the perceptual structure in the exhibition hall, and considers the meaningful methodology of sound art curating considering the role of sound full of vitality in the contemporary art scene.

Papercutting은 인류 사회에서 예술 형식중의 하나이며 오랜 역사를 통하여 풍부한 소재와 형식으로 광범위한 지역에서 사용 되어는 장르이다. 시대의 발전에 따라 papercutting도 급속도로 널리 퍼지고 있다. 현대사회에서 Papercutting은 단순한 장식예술품이 아니라 트렌트(trend)와 라이프스타일을 표현하는 생활예술을 기초로 하는 디자인이다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구는 시각적인 Papercutting의 표현 분석을 주로 하고 있다. 특히 전통과 현대의 중국 한국 일본을 비교해서 역사적 문화적 배경에 따라 Papercutting의 현대적 변용과 새롭게 떠오르는 효용을 어떻게 활용하고 있는지 분석하였다.

This study is aimed to analyze the method of movement expression in the Space-Time of Modern Visual Art. According to the results of analysis. the following is obtained. (1) The still object is perceived by the sense or optical illusion, and its whole image is made through the information processing prodedure. The concept of Space-Time is integrated into the constructivist works by the composition of image through transforming the position of the fundamental geometry and projecting it. (2) The traditional notion that the work of art is still concept of is changed. The movement of observer is caused by inducing the direction and concept of time through the object in three dimensional space.

The main purpose of this study was to use Deep Learning based Topic Modeling and Semantic Network Analysis to examine research trend of arts management-related papers in korea. For this purpose, research subjects such as 'The Journal of Cultural Policy', 'The Journal of Cultural Economics', 'The Journal of Culture Industry', 'The Journal of Arts Management', and 'The Journal of Human Content', which are the registered journal of the National Research Foundation of Korea directly or indirectly related to arts management field. From 1988 to 2017, a total of 2,110 domestic journals' signature, abstract, and keyword were analyzed. We tried Big Data analysis such as Topic Modeling and Semantic Network Analysis to examine changes in trends in arts management. The analysis program used open software R and standard statistical software SPSS. Based on the results of the analysis, the implications and limitations of the study and suggestions for future research were discussed. And the potential for development of convergent research such as Arts & Artificial Intelligence and Arts & Big Data.

In this study, emotional analysis was conducted based on the basic attribute data of music and the emotional model in psychology, and the result was applied to the visualization rules in the formative arts. In the existing studies using musical parameter, there were many cases with more practical purposes to classify, search, and recommend music for people. In this study, the focus was on enabling sound data to be used as a material for creating artworks and used for aesthetic expression. In order to study the music visualization as an art form, a method that can include human emotions should be designed, which is the characteristics of the arts itself. Therefore, a well-structured basic classification of musical attributes and a classification system on emotions were provided. Also, through the shape, color, and animation of the visual elements, the visualization of the musical elements was performed by reflecting the subdivided input parameters based on emotions. This study can be used as basic data for artists who explore a field of music visualization, and the analysis method and work results for matching emotion-based music components and visualizations will be the basis for automated visualization by artificial intelligence in the future.

Recent performing-art has a trend to be new cultural contents style which mixes various genre not just traditional way. Especially in stage performance, unique performance is playing using high technology and image. In sound performance, one of technology, a new experiment is trying which re-analyze the sound and mixes the result with image. But in public performance we have a technical difficulty with making visualization regarding the sound in realtime. Because we can not make visualization with instant sound from performers and audience it is difficult to interact smoothly between performer and audience. To resolve this kind of restriction, this paper suggests Real-time sound visualization. And we use string music instrument for sound source. Using the MaxMSP/Jitter based the Midi, we build image control system then we test and control the image with Korg Nano Kontrol. With above experiment we can verify verious emotion, feeling and rhythm of performer according to performance environment and also we can verify the real time interactive image which can be changed momently by performer's action.
