  • 스포츠에 과학기술 적용이 확산되고 경기력 향상과 경쟁력 확보를 위한 기술개발사업이 추진되고 있으나, 우리나라의 스포츠산업 기술혁신체계는 단계별 연계성 부족, 전담기관 부재 등 취약한 실정이다. 본 연구는 사전 기술기획으로 스포츠산업 기술정책비전, 메가트렌드 및 기술수준격차 분석 등을 수행하는 기술기회탐색과정을 추가하고 기술기획, 선정평가, 수행관리, 결과평가, 활용관리에 이르는 전주기 개념의 기술혁신체계 구축 방안을 제시하고 있다.

Identifying Influential Users of College Sports Teams' Social Media Accounts (대학스포츠팀 SNS의 영향력 있는 사용자의 분석)

  • This study tried to identify the influential users of college sports teams' Twitter accounts and categorize them into three groups including an official account, media account, and layperson account. A total of 14 Twitter accounts at NCAA Division 1 universities were selected through convenience sampling method. In men's sports, the greatest number of influential users was layperson account followed by media account and official account. In women's sports, the greatest number of influential users was layperson account followed by official account and media account. The results provided the insight of college sports online social network and will expand the growing literature on social media in sport and offer practical data for marketers to use social media more effectively.

  • 스포츠 산업 응용 분야에서 공의 실시간 품질검사는 산업 생산성과 경쟁력 견지에서 중요한 이슈이다. 컴퓨터 비전 기반 자동 품질검사는 이 문제를 해결하는 하나의 방법이다. 머신 비전 시스템은 품질관리 및 산업프로세스의 실시간 피드백을 주어, 물리적인 제한과 사람의 주관적인 판단을 극복할 수 있다. 컴퓨터비전 기반 시스템에서 디지털카메라에서 취득되는 디지털이미지는 주로 24-비트 컬러이미지이다. 이처럼 많은 레벨을 가지는 이미지분석은 복잡한 이미지 처리기법을 필요로 한다. 그러나 실시간 애플리케이션에서, 한 부분은 실시간으로 검사되어져야 한다. 이 논문에서는 최적의 임계값을 사용하여 스포츠산업계의 산업요구 사항을 만족하는 골프공 품질검사 시스템을 개발하였다.

Trends in the use of big data and artificial intelligence in the sports field (스포츠 현장에서의 빅데이터와 인공지능 활용 동향)

  • This study analyzed the recent trends in the sports environment to which big data and AI technologies, which are representative technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and approached them from the perspective of convergence of big data and AI technologies in the sports field. And the results are as follows. First, it is being used for player and game data analysis and team strategy establishment and operation. Second, by combining big data collected using GPS, wearable equipment, and IoT with artificial intelligence technology, scientific physical training for each player is possible through user individual motion analysis, which helps to improve performance and efficiently manage injuries. Third, with the introduction of an AI-based judgment system, it is being used for judge judgment. Fourth, it is leading the change in marketing and game broadcasting services. The technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution is bringing innovative changes to all industries, and the sports field is also in the process. The combination of big data and AI is expected to play an important role as a key technology in the rapidly changing future in a sports environment where scientific analysis and training determine victory or defeat.

The Effects of Sports Game Outcomes on Spectators' Ad Recall and the Moderating Role of Suspense (스포츠경기 결과가 광고효과에 미치는 영향과 서스펜스의 조절효과)

  • This study investigated the effects of sports game outcomes on spectators' Ad recall, and the sports game induced suspense was also investigated for its moderating effects between the variables. On the day after the 2012 London Olympic soccer games, university students (N=257) from the Busan area completed questionnaires and MANOVA was utilized for data analysis. Results of this study revealed that outcome of sports game have significant effects on recall of both brand name and contents which aired during a halftime break. In addition, significant moderating effects of sports game induced suspense were found on brand name and contents recall. Based on the results, some suggestions for marketing practitioners are discussed and future research directions are outlined.

  • A tangible sports game is an exercise game that uses sensors or cameras to track the user's body movements and to feel a sense of reality. Recently, VR indoor sports room systems installed to utilize tangible sports game for physical activity in schools. However, these systems primarily use screen-touch user interaction. In this research, we developed a V-Catch Vision system that uses AI image recognition technology to enable tracking of user movements in three-dimensional space rather than two-dimensional wall touch interaction. We also conducted a usability evaluation experiment to investigate the exercise effects of this system. We tried to evaluate quantitative exercise effects by measuring blood oxygen saturation level, the real-time ECG heart rate variability, and user body movement and angle change of Kinect skeleton. The experiment result showed that there was a statistically significant increase in heart rate and an increase in the amount of body movement when using the V-Catch Vision system. In the subjective evaluation, most subjects found the exercise using this system fun and satisfactory.

  • Purpose: The biomechanics and kinematics of knee joint were reviewed in this article. And then the common sports injuries were presented. Anatomy and Kinetics: None of the pairs of bearing surfaces in the knee joint is exactly congruent This allows the knee six degrees of freedom of motion. Tibiofemoral Kinematics: In flexion and extension, the axis of motion is not perpendicular to the medial-lateral plane of the joint, nor is it perpendicular to the axis of longitudinal rotation. This results in coupled varus angulation and internal rotation with flexion and in valgus angulation and external rotation with extension. Patellofemoral Articulation: Loads across the patellofemoral joint are indirectly related to the angle of knee flexion and directly related to the force generated within the quadriceps mechanism. Fractures of the Patella: Nonoperative treatment is indicated if the extensor mechanism is intact and if displacement of fragment is minimal. The specific type of internal fixation depends on the fracture pattern. It is important to repair retinaculum. Acute and Recurrent Patellar Instability: The degree of dysplasia and the extent of the instability play a large part in determining the success of nonoperative treatment. Patients who experience recurrent dislocations and patients with major anatomic variations require surgery to minimize their instability. Sports Injuries in School-age Atheletes: Patellar pain in young athletes groups a number of conditions, including Idiopathic Adolescent Anterior Knee Pain, Osgood- Schlatter Disease, and Sinding-Larsen-Johansson Disease.

  • Recently, with the development of AR, VR, and smart device technologies, the demand for services based on non-face-to-face environments is also increasing in the fitness industry. The non-face-to-face online home training service has the advantage of not being limited by time and place compared to the existing offline service. However, there are disadvantages including the absence of exercise equipment, difficulty in measuring the amount of exercise and chekcing whether the user maintains an accurate exercise posture or not. In this study, we develop a standard exercise program that can compensate for these shortcomings and propose a new non-face-to-face home training application by using a deep learning-based body posture estimation image processing algorithm. This application allows the user to directly watch and follow the trainer of the standard exercise program video, correct the user's own posture, and perform an accurate exercise. Furthermore, if the results of this study are customized according to their purpose, it will be possible to apply them to performances, films, club activities, and conferences

  • Isolated navicular fracture and dislocation of talonavicular joint is extremely rare. It is recommended closed or open reduction for displaced fracture. We reported one case of isolated tarsal navicular fracture and dislocation of the talonavicular joint, treated with open reduction and internal fixation using K-wires.

  • Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there has been a surge in sports conducted through online platforms due to the increase in remote and non-contact activities. Billiards, being suitable for online platforms, has received much attention, leading to research on detecting the position and trajectory of balls. In this paper, we propose a new method utilizing machine vision to detect the position of the balls accurately. The proposed method detects the outline of the ball using the Canny edge detection and then employs simple correlation to determine its position. This correlation-based approach offers satisfactory system performance and is easily applicable in practical systems due to its low implementation complexity and robustness to noise.
