  • Electrical characteristics of perovskite phases in the BaCe0.9R0.1O3-$\delta$(R=La, Yb and Al) system have been studied. Electrical conductivities of all specimens in air were higher than those in N2 atmosphers between 600 and 100$0^{\circ}C$. When temperature was elevated, the electrical conductivity difference between both atmospheres increased. Electrical conductivity of Yb3+ doped BaCeO3 specimen was higher than those of the La3+ and Al3+ doped specimens. The BaCe0.0Al0.1O3-$\delta$ showed higher proton transference number than both BaCe0.9Yb0.1O3-$\delta$ and BaCe0.9La0.1O3-$\delta$.

Colossal magnetoresistance of double-ordered perovskite $Sr_{2}FeMoO_{6}$ ceramics and sputter-deposited films ($Sr_{2}FeMoO_{6}$ 소결체와 스퍼터링법으로 제조된 박막의 초거대자기저항현상에 관한 연구)

  • Abstract The stoichiometric and double-ordered perovskite $Sr_2FeMoO_6$ (SFMO) polycrystalline ceramics were fabricated by sintering at above $900^{\circ}C$ in $H_2$(5%)/Ar reductive ambient. SMO polycrystals showed good ferromagnetic properties andmagnetrotesistqnce ratios of about 15 % at 8K and 3 % at room temperature. Amorphous SFMO thin films were deposited on $LaA1O_3$ and $SrTiO_3$ single crystal substrates using rf sputtering method with the SFMO polycrystalline ceramic target. Double-ordered perovskite polycrystalline SFMO thin films were fabricated by solid state crystallization by annealing the deposited amorphous films at above $680^{\circ}C$ in $H_2$(5%)/Ar reductive ambient. SFMO thin films exhibited ferromagnetic behavior. Their magnetroresistance ratios, however, were only 0.3~0.5% at 8K and disappeared with increasing the measuring temperature. This was attributed to the absence of magnetic spin tunneling between grains due to the porous structure and non-stoichiometric composition of the deposited films.

  • The effects of conductive additives in a $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}MnO_3$ perovskite bifunctional electrode for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) were investigated in an alkaline solution. Highly porous carbon black (CB) and Ni powder were added to the bifunctional electrodes as conductive additives. The surface morphologies of electrodes containing CB and Ni were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The current densities for both ORR and OER were changed by the addition of CB. The conductive additive changed physical properties of bifunctional electrodes such as the sheet conductance, gas permeability and contact angle. It was observed that the air permeability of electrode was most effective to enhance the currents for ORR and OER.

  • $LaCoO_3$ powders synthesized by Pechini process were pulverized by planetary ball-milling to decrease particle size and characterized as a catalyst in alkaline solution for oxygen reduction and evolution reaction (ORR & OER). The changes of physical properties, such as particle size distribution, surface area and electric conductivity, were analyzed as a function of ball-milling time. Also, the variations of the crystal structure and surface morphology of ball-milled powders were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. The electrochemically catalytic activities of the intrinsic $LaCoO_3$ powders decreased with increasing ball-milling time, but their electrochemical performance as an electrode improved by the increase of the surface area of the powder.

  • Oshii Mamoru attempts to project the perception of reality about his own modern world as it is through animation. The precedent studies on Oshii Mamoru put their focus on the point that his works have a tendency to represent the devastation of reality as the image of 'a ruin.' In addition, they gave an impression that Oshii Mamoru's animation has gradually developed to expose the 'realistic taste[beauty]' from the design perspective. However, this study is going to put its focus on the point that Mamoru's works were created as an attempt at finding the subversive possibility of the suppressed modern world under the modern capitalism in the aspect of 'everyday life' of the modern world. First, for its analytical purpose, this study intends to do that by dividing the work into the three layers such as space, body and everyday life. In Chapter II, this study, in relation with the issue of 'space' representation, analyzed the space in into the modern, mechanical, compactly capitalized space and also the space just like a closed circuit having the nature of 'repetition.' In Chapter III, this analyzed that suggests the body moving freely between a human named 'Kildren' and the inhuman from the aspect of character's body, through which Mamoru represents the capitalized, reified body of the modern world. In addition, this analyzed the extreme anxiety facing the body into the reflection of the phenomena of 'anxiety' and 'placelessness' consequent on the labor flexibility of the modern world. In Chapter IV, this study, on the basis of the analysis of layers of space & body, analyzed that the 'everyday life' of the modern world was represented in the respects of 'memory' and 'habit', and in the aspects of Mise-en-Sc$\grave{e}$ne, design and direction. In Chapter V, this rooted out the fact that Mamoru suggested the attempt at 'appropriation' based on his perception of reality about such a modern world. Such a finding includes unearthing the fact that Oshii Mamoru's work is raising a question about how to desert and appropriate the modern space. In conclusion of Chapter VI, this drew the conclusion that Oshii Mamoru's work represented the layer of 'everyday life' while dealing with the post-modern themes shown by the existing modern SF genre, provided the 'window' through which people can perceive the 'modern world radically by recommending an attempt at 'appropriation', and blazed a trail in a new realm of creation for animations.

Development of Out-of-Core Equation Solver with Virtual Memory Database for Large-Scale Structural Analysis (가상 메모리 데이타베이스를 이용한 대규모 구조해석용 코어 외 방정식 해석기법의 개발)

  • To solve the large problems with limited core memory of computer, a disk management scheme called virtual memory database has been developed. Utilizing this technique along with memory moving scheme, an efficient in-and out-of-core column solver for the sparse symmetric matrix commonly arising in the finite element analysis is developed. Compared with other methods the algorithm is simple, therefore the coding and computational efficiencies are greatly enhanced. Analysis example shows that the proposed method efficiently solve the large structural problem on the small-memory micro-computer.

(Bi,La)$Ti_3O_{12}$ 강유전체 박막의 특성 연구

  • 졸-겔법으로 Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si 기판위에 $Bi_{3.7}$/$La_{0.75}$$Ti_3O_{12}$(BLT) 강유전체 박막을 형성하였다. As-coated BLT 박막은 $600^{\circ}C$의 후속 열처리온도에서 결정화 되었으며 전형적인 Bi 층상 페롭스카이트 결정구조를 나타내었다. 또한 후속 열처리온도를 증가함에 따라 결정성이 향상되었다. $700^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 후속 열처리된 BLT 박막의 비 유전상수($\varepsilon_{r}$)와 유전손실($\textrm{tan}\delta$)은 5KHz 주파수에서 약 402와 0.04를 각각 나타내었다 $800^{\circ}C$에서 후속 열처리된 BLT박막의 경우 5V의 인가 전압에서 잔류분극 2Pr($Pr^{+}$-$Pr^{-}$)값은 약 32.5$\mu$C/$Cm^2$을 나타내었다.

  • For the development of solid oxide fuel cell the joined interface formation between perovskite oxygen electrode and YSZ solid electrolyte is emphasized in the aspect of reducing the undisirable overpotential. The diffusion couple of LaMnO3 and YSZ was prepared by hot pressing at 130$0^{\circ}C$ in the flow of oxygen gas. The high temperature solid state reaction mechanism between LaMnO3 and YSZ is discussed on the basis of the cation composition profile through EDX analysis. The cation components in perovskite compound diffuse considerably into YSZ, while cations of YSZ diffuse little into perovskite.

  • 졸-겔법(Sol-Gel Method)으로 강유전체 Bi/sub 3.3/La/sub 0.7/Ti/sub 3/O/sub 12/(BLT) 박막을 Pt/Ti/SiO₂/Si 기판위에 스핀 코팅하여 Metal-Ferroelectric-Metal(MFM 구조를 형성하였다. As-coated BLT 박막은 650℃ 이상에서 결정화되었으며, 전형적인 Bi층상의 페롭스카이트 결정구조를 나타내었다. 또한 열처리 온도를 증가시킴에 따라 결정성이 향상되었다. 3V 전압에서 650℃로 열처리된 박막의 경우 누설전류가 약 2.25×10/sup -8/A/㎠ 정도를 보였다. 650℃에서 열처리된 BLT박막은 5V의 인가 전압에서 잔류분극 2Pr(±(P/sup */-P/sup A/)) 값은 약 29.5μC/㎠을 나타내었으며, 1.5×10/sup 10/ 스위칭 cycles까지 분극 스위칭을 반복한 후에도 거의 잔류 분극의 변화가 없었다.

  • 서울의 중심 종로구, 한국의 선진 경제를 상징하는 각종 건축물이 모여 있는 곳. 우뚝 솟은 건물들은 아름다운 스카이라인을 연출하며 이곳을 오가는 수 십만 행인들의 탄성을 자아낸다. 지금 이곳에선 또 하나의 우수한 건축물이 베일을 벗고 기대에 찬 사람들을 맞이할 준비를 하고 있다. 그 주인공은 바로 신동아건설 신문로 2구역 제5지구업무시설 신축현장. 이곳을 흙먼지 펄펄 날리는 흔한 건설현장이라고 생각한다면 큰 오해를 할 것이다. 외관에서 내관에 이르기까지 깨끗이 정리된 모습은 현장을 방문한 이들이 '이 곳이 건설현장이 맞나'하는 의구심까지 들게 한다. 또한 '조금의 진동과 약간의 먼지도 허용하지 않겠다'는 투철한 각오로 도심 속 현장에 맞는 공법을 도입, 조용함 속에 철저한 시공을 진행하고 있다. 이곳 현장은 지하 5층~지상 14층 규모의 업무시설로 현재 46.5%의 공정률을 보이고 있다. 2010년 10월을 준공일로 예정하며, 준공까지는 대략 10개월 남짓 남은 상황, 현재까지 무재해를 이어가고 있다. 시시각각 변화하는 공정에다 여러 협력업체들이 모여 있는 건설현장의 가변적 특성에도 불구하고 지금까지 무재해를 이어오고 있는 것이다. 이같은 배경에 대해 이곳 현장의 임직원들은 현장 내 자연스럽게 자리잡고있는 '자율적인 안전관리 문화'와 '감성안전문화'를 꼽는다.
