A Study on the Efficient Label Management Methods in High-Speed IP Switching Networks (고속 IP 교환망에서 효율적인 레이블 관리 방식에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we present the flow aggregation method and the FLTC(flow lasting time control) algorithm to reduce the number of flows and solve the scalability problem in high speed IP switching networks. The flow aggregation based on the destination address could reduce the total number of flows, improve the label efficiency, and increase the total amount of the switched packets. The FLTC algorithm also eliminates the waste of label by deleting the flow binding efficiently. With the traces of real Internet traffics, we evaluate the performance of these schemes by simulation. The label efficiency, the average number of label used, and the percentage of packets switched and the number of packets switched are used as performance measures for this simulation.

Reliability Analysis of the 2-Dimensional Ring-Banyan Network (2차원 링-밴얀 망의 신뢰성 분석)

  • 2-Dimensional Ring-banyan network is a high-performance fault-tolerant switching network using a deflection self-routing. The throughput of the switching network is better than that of Cyclic Banyan network under non-uniform traffic. In this paper, we present an analytic reliability analysis of the fault-tolerant switching network. We present the Mean-Time-to-Failure that is calculated by using probabilistic model. This model also takes into account a hardware complexity. In case of $16\;{\times}\;16$ size, the presented switching network is 1.275 times more reliable than Hui's switching network. And it is 1.510 times more reliable than Hui's network in case of $64\;{\times}\;64$ size.

  • High frequency common mode voltage produced by PWM inverter fed Induction motor is a major cause of conducted EMI, creation motor ground currents, bearing currents and other harmful products. The zero switching states of inverter control invoke large in comparison with the non-zero switching state of Inverter control. We proposed a common mode voltage reduction method based on sinusoidal PWM technique. PWM signal are generated by comparing respective sinusoidal reference signal with three triangular carrier wave displaced of 120$^{\circ}$. Simulation and experimenta1 result show that common mode voltages in the proposed PWM technique are reduced by approximate 66% more than conventional FWM technique.

  • This paper presents a novel technique of efficiency enhancement for dual mode transmitter. The future dual mode transmitter incorporates an amplifier which generates different level of output for different applications. For WiBro, the output is 1W at 2.3GHz, and for wireless LAN, the output is less than 100mW at 2.4GHz. Simple bias switching is proposed to get the higher efficiency at both of the applications. Without the bias switching the amplifier shows 10% PAE at 20dBm output for wireless LAN, but using a preselected lower bias, the efficiency improves up to 35%. This technique becomes more useful as the need of many function convergence terminals is increasing.

  • Recently, with the growth of photovoltaic system, many researchers and companies have concerned about the multi-level inverter which has an efficiency of boosting voltage. This paper implements a multi-level switching function based on the FPGA. It is efficient to implement the switching function based on the FPGA as a program able logic device. In order to implementation the switching function, this paper synchronized with the microprocessor through the clock and synchronous signal from the microprocessor.

  • A theoretical analysis of the impact of rise time of a Q-switch on the output pulse performance is carried out in an Ytterbium-doped actively Q-switched fiber laser. The finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used to numerically simulate the Q-switched fiber laser. It is shown that stable Gaussian-like pulse shape can be generated when the Q-switch rise time is increased and pulse repetition rate is enlarged.

  • In this paper, we propose a new switch structure for time division duplex(TDD) system. The existing TDD structure utilizes a circulator fur isolation characteristic between ports. However, the circulator produces intermodulation distortion signals which are undesired signal because of its nonlinear properties. The proposed circuit is composed of a modified branch-line hybrid coupler which controls the signal flow while the isolated port is open-/short- terminated. In order to prove the validity of the presented structure, the switch circuit is fabricated and measured at 2.3GHz, the center frequency of Wibro service system.

  • In this paper, The next Generation High Speed Railway Inverter system using RCF-PWM(Random Carrier Frequency Pulse Width Modulation) was developed to reduce electromagnetic noise. RCF-PWM method is randomized the switching frequency in the range between Semiconductor switching devices' maximum switching frequency and minimum switching frequency, Simulation program has been built using MATLAB/Simulink to verify the validity of study. Finally, the simulation results of Next Generation High Speed Railway inverter system using the RCF method was compared with the conventional SVPWM method.

  • This paper proposes sliding mode control (SMC) method for improvement of dynamic response for IPMSM based on DTC with constant switching frequency. DTC with constant switching frequency method consists of PI torque controller and triangular comparator for constant torque error status. It has the poor dynamic response compared to conventional DTC. This paper proposes improvement method of dynamic response of DTC with constant switching frequency by using SMC. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문은 공간벡터 변조 방법에서부터 Six-step 동작까지의 새로운 과변조 방법을 제시하였다. 극전압을 푸리에 시리즈를 이용하여 분석하였고 지령 상전압에서부터 펄스 폭 변조 스위칭 신호까지의 알고리즘을 제안하였다. Matlab 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.
