A High Efficiency Full-Bridge Converter With Phase-Shifted Controlled Active Rectifier (위상-천이 제어 기법의 액티브 정류기 구조를 갖는 고효율 풀-브릿지 컨버터)

  • 본 논문에서는, 위상-천이 제어 기반의 액티브 정류기 구조를 갖는 새로운 고효율 풀-브릿지 컨버터를 제안한다. 기존의 위상-천이 풀-브릿지 컨버터는 풀-브릿지 구조로 인한 스위치의 작은 도통손실과, 영전압 스위칭 등의 특징으로 인해 높은 용량에서 널리 쓰이는 토폴로지이다. 하지만, 위상-천이 풀-브릿지 컨버터는 넓은 입력전압 범위에서 설계되면 1차측에 큰 환류 전류가 생겨 도통손실이 증가하는 문제점을 갖는다. 따라서 이를 해결하기 위해, 제안하는 회로는 액티브 정류기를 사용하여 1차측 스위치들이 항상 최대 시비율로 동작할 수 있게 한다. 이로 인하여 순환 전류가 사라져 넓은 입력전압 범위에서도 높은 효율을 달성 할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 제안하는 정류기의 구조 상 특징으로 인해 액티브 정류기의 스위치는 전압 링잉을 갖지 않고 출력 전압으로 고정되어 낮은 전압 스트레스를 갖는다. 제안하는 회로의 효용성을 증명하기 위해, 250-400V 입력, 56V/12.8A 출력에서 실험이 진행되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 입력전류를 센싱 받지 않아도 역률 보상을 하는 새로운 단일단 브리지리스 AC-DC컨버터를 제안한다. 제안하는 컨버터의 스위치는 전구간에서 ZVS(Zero Voltage Switching) 턴 온을 성취하며, 다이오드는 전구간에서 ZCS(Zero Current Switching) 턴 오프를 성취한다. 제안하는 컨버터의 넓은 범위의 출력전압 제어와 간단한 전력 제어를 위해 SDAB(Semi-Dual Active Bridge)기반의 모듈레이션 기법을 적용하였다. 1kW급 50kHz의 스위칭 주파수를 갖는 시작품을 통해 본 논문의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 전력 변환 장치에서 전자기파 장해를 막기위한 EMI 필터는 큰 부피를 차지하고 있기 때문에 이를 줄이는 것이 전력 변환장치의 제작 비용뿐 아니라 크기도 줄일 수 있어 전력 변환밀도를 높이는 유용한 방법이 된다. 기존에는 전력 변환 장치측면에서 스프레드 스팩트럼 및 소프트 스위칭을 구현하는 방법, 능동형 EMI 필터를 사용하는 방법 등이 제안되어 왔다. 하지만 공진형 컨버터의 경우 동작주파수를 흔드는 스프레드 스펙트럼을 사용하면 전압이득이 크게 영향을 받아 출력 전압의 제어 성능이 떨어진다. 본 논문에서는 공진형 컨버터에서 스프레드 스펙트럼을 구현하여 EMI 노이즈를 줄이는 동시에 원하는 출력 전압 제어 성능을 확보하기 위한 공진 탱크와 스프레드 스펙트럼 기법의 디자인 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 디자인 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 실험적으로 출력 전압제어 성능과 EMI 감소분을 보이고자 한다.

  • 여러 모듈을 묶어 하나의 PCS를 구현하는 모듈형 인버터는 대부분 모듈들의 직류단과 교류 단을 공통으로 연결하여 사용한다. 모듈간의 순환전류 등의 문제를 해결하기 위해 PWM 동기화 기법을 사용하고 있으며 교류 단에서의 문제는 이것으로 대부분 해결할 수 있다. 그러나 임피던스가 매우 작은 직류 단에서는 PWM Pulse까지 동일하지 않는 이상 모듈 간 스위칭 전압 차에 의해 순간전류가 발생할 수밖에 없다. 직류 단이 분리된 구조에서는 문제가 없지만 ESS의 경우 대부분 직류 단이 공통으로 묶여있어 그에 대한 대책이 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 그에 대한 대책으로 직류 단에 임피던스 네트워크를 적용하는 방안을 제시하며 그 효과에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

  • This paper is concerned with the control of multiple nonlinearities included in a humanoid robot system. A humanoid robot has some problems such as the structural instability, which leads to consider the control of multiple nonlinearities caused by driver parts as well as gear reducer. Saturation and backlash are typical examples of nonlinearities in the system. The conventional algorithms of backlash control were fuzzy algorithm, disturbance observer and neural network, etc. However, it is not easy to control the system by employing only single algorithm since the system usually includes multiple nonlinearities. In this paper, a switching Pill is considered for a control of saturation and a dual feedback algorithm is proposed for a backlash control. To implement the above algorithms, the system identification is firstly performed for the minimization of the difference between the results of simulation and experiment, and then the switching Pill gains are determined using genetic algorithm with some heuristic approach. The performance of the switching Pill controller for saturation and the dual feedback for backlash control is investigated through the simulation. Finally, it is shown that the implemented control system has good results and can be applied to the real humanoid robot system ISHURO.

  • The embedded microcontroller which is operated by the logic gates synchronized on the clock pulse, is gradually used as main controller of mission-critical systems. Severe electrical situations such as high voltage/frequency surge may cause malfunctioning of the clock source. The tolerant system operation is required against the various external electric noise and means the robust design technique is becoming more important issue in system clock failure problems. In this paper, we propose on-chip backup clock change architecture for the automatic clock failure detection. For the this, we adopt the edge detector, noise canceller logic and glitch-free clock changer circuit. The implemented edge detector unit detects the abnormal low-frequency of the clock source and the delay chain circuit of the clock pulse by the noise canceller can cancel out the glitch clock. The externally invalid clock source by detecting the emergency status will be switched to back-up clock source by glitch-free clock changer circuit. The proposed circuits are evaluated by Verilog simulation and the fabricated IC is validated by using test equipment electrical field radiation noise

  • We suggest a low area and high efficiency switched-mode power supply (SMPS) with a pulse width modulation (PWM) generator based on a pseudo relaxation-oscillating technique. In the proposed circuit, the PWM duty ratio is determined by the voltage slope control of an internal capacitor according to amount of charging current in a PWM generator. Compared to conventional SMPSs, the proposed control method consists of a simple structure without the filter circuits needed for an analog-controlled SMPS or the digital compensator used by a digitally-controlled SMPS. The proposed circuit is able to operate at switching frequency of 1MHz~10MHz, as this frequency can be controlled from the selection of one of the internal capacitors in a PWM generator. The maximum current of the core circuit is 2.7 mA, and the total current of the entire circuit including output buffer driver is 15 mA at 10 MHz switching frequency. The proposed SMPS has a simulated maximum ripple voltage of 7mV. In this paper, to verify the operation of the proposed circuit, we performed simulation using Dongbu Hitek BCD $0.35{\mu}m$ technology and measured the proposed circuit.

  • This paper investigates the application of the anti-windup scheme to control U voltage of the three-phase four-wire active power filter, installed in a three-phase four-wire power system. In order to reduce efficiently the harmonic currents caused by the switching loads and to improve the whole performance of the flower system, the DC voltage of the three-phase four-wire active power filter should be properly controlled. PI controller can be applied to the U voltage controller of the three-phase four-wire active power filter. However, a large error input to PI controller leads to a windup phenomenon which deteriorate the dynamic characteristics of the U voltage controller Therefore, the application of the anti-windup scheme for the DC voltage controller is proposed and the improved performances of the anti-windup U voltage controller are proved through the computer simulation study.

  • This paper describes packet scheduling techniques that can be used to alleviate the impact of interference. The mechanism is consisted of interference estimation and master delay police. Proposed scheduling police is effective in reducing packet loss and delay. Another advantage worth mentioning, are the additional saving s in the transmitter power since packet are not transmitted when channel is bad. This paper gives that scheduling policy works only with data traffic since voice packets need to be sent at fixed intervals. However, if the delay variance is constant and the delay can be limited to a slot, it may be worthwhile to use DM packet for voice.

  • The input current of three phase rectifier which is mainly used in the propulsion system of the electric propulsion ship includes a variety of low order harmonics. To reduce these harmonics, the power conversion system, used in the large vessels which high power is required, is currently used the rectifiers of 12-pulse output, but it still has a problem that occurs $12{\pm}1$ harmonics. Also, in the case of the direct torque control technique which is widely used for the speed and torque control, the torque ripple is severe and the input current of motor has greatly included harmonics by the switching of the inverter. In order to reduce harmonics and improve the performance of torque control, this paper presents that the auxiliary supply assisted into the 12-pulse rectifier of the electric propulsion system using direct torque control technique. We confirm the validity of the proposed method through the simulation under the environment of a real vessel system.
