Trends of Intelligent Public Safety Service Technologies (지능형 치안 서비스 기술 동향)

  • As society develops, the demand for safety and security services increases. Developed nations such as the United States use advanced technology to lower crime rate and promote intelligent security services. First, this article examines intelligent systems that are used for monitoring and detecting crimes and dangerous situations. Recently, we have been studying technologies that enable preemptive responses through prediction of crime and hazardous situations. In this paper, we examine the cases of security services based on a crime/risk prediction model and explain the structure and major technologies of an intelligent security system. In addition, we propose a direction for technological development for achieving future security services.

  • 'SMART Police' means collecting, analyzing and utilizing the police database such as crime statistics, reflecting 'strategic management', 'analysis and research', 'science technology' do. In recent years, the number of sex offenses has more than doubled based on the 'crime analysis' of the Supreme Prosecutors' In this trend, we started to build a sex crime prevention program for women 's relief special 3.0 which is suitable for regional characteristics. However, it was not enough for the women to have low publicity and utilization results, and to show the practical effect. In the future, we propose a crime prevention system which can safely take home safeguarding with autonomous driving car or drone by applying ICT to the future police system. Although it is difficult to operate autonomous vehicles and drones in the surrounding environment such as narrow alleys and power lines for application to this system, it is thought that the artificial intelligence technology can be sufficiently overcome to operate.

  • Based on data provided by the science and technology knowledge infrastructure (ScienceON, 2017-2021), this paper reviews the research trends of domestic police services and related technologies, and describes the research and development direction of policing technology. For this purpose, the research was searched using the keywords science policing, smart policing, predictive policing, and policing. Policing technology is used for crime investigation (prevention), such as crime analysis and crime prediction. The collection of related data use urban infrastructure, the processing of data collected using technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and the utilization of data in police services (system) were summarized. In future, on-site support technology and crime investigation (prevention) technology for a preemptive correspondence to social threats and effective police activities must be developed. In addition, the quality of police services should be improved, a system to use police-related data should be developed, and the capabilities of police experts need to be strengthened.

  • Recently, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has advanced activities in the field of policing, such as police training, crime investigation, and on-site response equipment enhancement. In this paper, we examine how to use immersion technology in the field of policing. Currently, AR/VR technology is mainly used for police education, training, and criminal investigation, and other cases of its use are rare. To use AR/VR technology in a wider range of applications, it is necessary to look at how it can be used in major police activities (e.g., patrol, investigation, and arrest activities).

  • In this paper, a smart elevator system was studied using real-time object detection technology based on YOLO(You only look once)v5. When an external elevator button is pressed, the YOLOv5 model analyzes the camera video to determine whether there are people waiting, and if it determines that there are no people waiting, the button is automatically canceled. The study introduces an effective method of implementing object detection and communication technology through YOLOv5 and MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) used in the Internet of Things. And using this, we implemented a smart elevator system that determines in real time whether there are people waiting. The proposed system can play the role of CCTV (closed-circuit television) while reducing unnecessary power consumption. Therefore, the proposed smart elevator system is expected to contribute to safety and security issues.

  • 본 논문에서는 치안 공백 문제 해결을 위해 인공지능 CCTV를 소개한다. 자율주행 RC카의 센서 및 영상 처리로 행인의 이상 행동을 자동 탐지하고 이를 통합 관제 애플리케이션과 웹사이트로 확인 및 제어하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 부족한 인력을 지원하고 CCTV 사각지대를 최소화하며, 이를 통해 공공 안전에 이바지함으로써 시민들이 안전하게 살 수 있는 사회가 구축되기를 기대한다.

  • Rapid urbanization is being portrayed around the world au causing difficulty to manage public hygiene and maintain public order. Common problems often detected in urban areas including traffic congestion and the deterioration of the ecological environment are also being exacerbated. Despite all the effort being made by the government and local governments to manage urban facilities, urban residents are subjected to various levels of difficulty, due to the number of facilities to be managed exceeding the number of management personnel and the lack of an adequate management system. The aim of this study is to propose a management method using smart phones to improve the maintenance efficiency of urban facilities. First, the one-stop maintenance of urban facilities, including facilities information management, maintenance management and history management, is made possible by using smart phones to collect and transfer pictures and the locations of the urban facilities. Second, maintenance management is based on the location and picture information of the subject, not the location of the smart phones, which enables a prompt understanding of and actions to be taken for the facility. This method is especially effective as the smart phone application sends the facility status information directly to the maintenance personnel. Third, all of the information and figures relating to the facilities is managed using a database, resulting in the easy utilization of the history management and data. Fourth, all of the urban residents have access to this information via smart phone applications and, therefore, expanding the role of the facility maintenance personnel is made possible without any additional investment in infrastructure. Lastly, the location-based information enables the management of roads, trees and trails.

  • 최근 들어 위치 기반 서비스(Location Based Service)는 치안, 인명 구조, 물류 추적, 길안내 등 다양한 분야로 적용 가능성 때문에 많은 관심을 받고 있는 기술이다. 스마트 폰과 같은 모바일 단말기의 보급이 가속화되면서 사용자는 위치 정보를 이용한 각종 서비스에 대한 요구가 늘어나고 관련 산업의 사업성이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 추세다. 실외 위치 추적 기법은 인공위성을 이용한 GPS(Global Positioning System) 기법이 시장을 거의 평정하여 이에 수렴해 가고 있는 상황이고 실제로 많은 상용 제품이 존재하고 있다. 하지만 실내에는 인공위성 신호가 직접 전해 지지 못하는 상황이기 때문에 이와 다른 기법이 존재하나 아직 상용화하기에 그 정확도와 기술력이 부족한 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 건물 밖에 존재하는 GPS 기능이 탑재된 모바일 단말기를 이용하여 실내에 존재하는 모바일 단말기와 협력 통신(Cooperative Communication)하여 위치를 추적하는 기법을 제안한다. 최근 들어 GPS 장비의 단가 하락으로 이 기능을 가지고 있는 모바일 단말기가 증가하고 있는 추세이기 때문에 실내 위치 추적 시스템을 구축하기 위해 별도의 장비를 설치하지 않아도 된다는 것이 이 기법의 가장 큰 장점이다. 시뮬레이션의 결과를 통해 본 기법의 효용성을 확인해보았다.
