  • The purpose of the study is to promote the expansion of educational environment and students' competence through the application of smart learning. In G University in 2017, 118 freshmen in the department of Chemical-bio engineering who were taking Calculus I class were divided into 2 groups of experimental and control group. The study analyzed the effect of the various learning experience using educational technology and the interaction in the class through SNS on students' visual understanding and academic achievement. The result shows that the students' academic achievement and satisfaction in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group. This verifies the potential of smart learning in the field of mathematics in the tertiary level and suggests strategies for high quality smart learning.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the middle school students' perception and their learning satisfaction in SMART learning based science instruction. Three types of modules on the solar system and lunar phases unit at the middle school level were developed and lessons on each module were taught to 207 student participants. All participants were provided with tabletPC(iPad2) with iOS5 installed, and using astronomy app Solar Walk, mirroring function, QR code, and Google Presentation, the lessons were carried out both in classroom and at home. The instrument for assessing students' perception on the SMART learning-based instruction was developed based on 4 factors including Self-directed, Motivation, Adaptiveness, and Technology Embedded, with a Likert scale from 1-5 on 20 items. The learning satisfaction survey instrument was originally from Keller's work (1987), and its test items were adapted and modified. To reveal the perception and learning satisfaction about SMART learning-based science lessons, the participants were comparatively analyzed by gender and science achievement levels. Results indicated that male students showed positive perception for the SMART learning-based instruction. Group with higher science achievement scores showed more positive perception of the SMART learning-based instruction in terms of Self-directed and Motivation factor. Also, the learning satisfaction of male students was higher than female students and group with higher academic ability more satisfied with the SMART learning-based instruction than the low group. The results provide implications for future development of programs and help set a direction of increasing the use of a SMART learning-based science in school.

A pilot project was conducted as a part of building a Smart Campus in S university in Gyeong-gi Province in Korea for the study. The class was held in the Summer semester in 2011 with six participants. Using research methodologies such as semi-structured interviews and stimulated recall, perceived academic performances, satisfaction, and the usability of smart-pads were analysed. Main results included high perceived academic performances, satisfaction, and the usability, however, some negative responses also detected on the variables. Based on the results, it was suggested that specific instructional strategies should be developed in terms of hardware, software and humanware.

For this study total students 74 in 2classes were surveyed at the end of semester. Compared to use smartphones one group and not use smartphones one group for study in a class. The research data was analyzed using SPSS also self directed learning, self learning efficacy, learning satisfaction analyzed t-test, general character was analyzed two group(one : Used smart learning other : not Used smart learning) ${\chi}^2-test$. First, Used smart learning group is more higher than not Used smart learning group in a self learning efficacy, self directed learning, learning satisfaction. Second, during the smart learning classes a students appeared a positive response. Suggest to change a paradigm in a radiology classes so we have to improve a teaching skills this solution recommend is two way communication. In conclusion, smart learning applied for classes of college is meaningful as a new teaching, which can be change gradually learning satisfaction by teaching methods.
