An Analysis on the Status and Degree of Recognition for Smart Phone Syndrome of Undergraduate Students (대학생들의 스마트폰 증후군에 대한 인지정도 및 실태 분석)

  • As smart phone became popular, a word smart phone syndrome is also commonly used among us. Its excessive uses cause adverse effects on daily lives such as mental and physical health education and individual relationships. This paper targeted to undergraduate students who are mostly using smart phones to analyze on their perception of smart phone syndrome and a reality of typical syndrome such as digital forgetfulness, smart phone addiction and dependence on Kakaotalk. It also suggested basic countermeasures for preventing smart phone syndrome. The perception on smart phone syndrome of undergraduate students using over the average 5 hours a day was resulted to be very low, and it is analyzed smart phone syndrome including digital forgetfulness, smart phone addiction and dependence on Kakaotalk is quite serious, so that proper countermeasures and the actions are required.

  • 장시간 컴퓨터나 스마트폰을 사용하는 사람들에게서 손목터널증후군(Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)의 발생 가능성이 높아지며, 이를 방지하기 위해서는 꾸준한 손목 스트레칭과 위험성의 모니터링을 통한 사용자 피드백이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 사용자 스스로가 손목 터널 증후군의 위험성을 인지하고, 손목 스트레칭 할 수 있도록 손목 터널 증후군 예방 시스템(Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Prevention System, CTSPS)을 구현하였다. 전체 시스템은 하드웨어와 소프트웨어로 구성되며, 소프트웨어는 사용자가 설정한 사용 시간과 잠금 시간을 바탕으로 알림 및 잠금을 수행한다. 이때 사용자는 아두이노와 가속도 센서를 이용하여 손목 스트레칭 할 수 있으며, 사용 패턴을 분석하여 사용자에게 맞는 생활 가이드를 제공할 수 있다. 구현된 시스템을 평가하기 위해 피실험자 5명을 대상으로 3일간 스마트폰 사용 시간 및 터치 횟수를 측정하였고, 설문조사를 수행한 결과 스마트폰의 사용 빈도가 줄었으며, 통증 완화 등 긍정적인 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the relationship between the subjective symptoms of smartphone addiction and visual display terminal syndrome in nursing college students and learning flow in the COVID-19 pandemic. For the collection of materials, the materials of the final 134 people were analyzed by collecting the students at the nursing colleges located in S city and M city for convenience. The collected materials were subjected to descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients using the SPSS / WIN 26 program. As a result of this study, the learning flow of nursing college students was negative correlated to the tendency of smartphone addiction and the subjective symptoms of visual display terminal syndrome. Therefore, to improve the learning flow of nursing college students, it is necessary to reduce the symptoms of smartphone addictive use and visual display terminal syndrome. The need for intervention and development of various effective programs for smart phone addiction management and display terminal syndrome management was suggested.

Effects of Physical Activity Intervention on Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors and Smartphone Game Time in Children (신체활동 중재가 초등학생의 비만 및 대사증후군 위험인자와 스마트폰 게임 참여 시간에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of 12-week physical activity intervention on obesity and metabolic syndrome risk factors and smartphone game time in children. A total of 27 children(fifth grade elementary school students) participated in this study. The subjects were divided to exercise group(n=16) and control group(n=11), and participants in exercise group performed running and jump rope(60min/day; 3days/week; 50~70% of THR) during 12-week. We analyzed measurement data using two-way ANOVA. As results, obesity indices except body weight and metabolic syndrome risk factor decreased significantly in exercise group compare with control group. And VO2max increased and smartphone game time decreased significantly in exercise group compare with control group. In conclusion, we suggest that 12-week exercise intervention in children has positive effects on obesity and metabolic syndrome and improve negative lifestyle such as smartphone game.

  • 오늘날, 현대인들의 생활 속에서 스마트폰을 빼놓을 수 없을 만큼 스마트폰을 장시간 이용하는 사람들이 많다. 스마트폰 이용시간이 늘어날수록 목을 숙인 자세를 유지하게 되며, 이는 VDT 증후군 중 거북목증후군을 발생시킬 가능성이 높다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 목 각도를 유추해 거북목 자세가 일정시간 유지될 때 알림기능을 제공하는 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 애플리케이션을 통해 스마트폰 사용자들이 자신의 자세를 인지하고 올바른 자세로 교정할 수 있도록 유도하였다. 본 애플리케이션은 스마트폰의 기울기에 따라 사용자의 목각도를 추측하기 때문에, 스마트폰의 기울기와 목각도간의 상관성 분석 실험을 수행하여 애플리케이션의 유효성을 입증하였다.

Factors Influencing VDT syndrome among male adolescents with risk of digital addiction (디지털중독 위험군 남학생의 VDT 자각증상 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the influential factors associated with video display terminal (VDT) syndrome of male adolescents with digital device addition. The study design was cross-sectional descriptive survey. The study participants were 169 male middle school students in Seoul. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection and data were analyzed using the SPSS program. The factors most influential for the subjective symptoms of VDT were smartphone addiction, computer use time during the week, computer use environment. These factors accounted for 28.1% of the variance in subjective symptoms of VDT. In order to prevent the occurrence of VDT syndrome in students, we suggest to establish a preventive intervention against the digital addiction.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 유아대상으로 무분별한 스마트폰 기기 노출 등으로 인한 피해의 심각성을 알고 유아교육에서 인터넷 윤리 및 스마트폰 기기의 올바른 사용이 제대로 이루어 질수 있도록 교육 방법을 제안하는 것이다. 제 4차 산업혁명으로 인하여 연령과 상관없이 과도하게 스마트기기에 많이 노출되고 있다. 따라서, 유아기때부터 올바른 정보 윤리 의식 및 적절한 컴퓨터 사용을 할 수 있는 교육이 이루어지며, 유아 스마트폰 증후군을 예방하여 건전하고 안전한 사이버 세상이 이루어지도록 해야 한다. 그러나 아직까지 유아교육분야에서 정보 윤리 및 스마트폰 중독에 대한 프로그램이 특강형태로 이루어지고 교재교구들이 부족하며, 다양한 활동이 개발되어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 정부차원에서 각 센터와 기관들과 잘 협업이 이루어지도록 유도하며, 전문가들에 의해 다양한 활동이 개발되고 교재교구가 제작될 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 카메라의 실시간 영상에서 얻을 수 있는 데이터를 수집 및 분석하여 일반인들에게 스마트폰의 실제 사용량, 최적화면 표현, 그리고 건조증 위험도의 정보를 제공하는 "i-eye" 응용 앱을 제안하여 눈 건강관리를 가능하게 한다. 제안하는 앱은 발전된 스마트 폰을 기반으로 동작되며 아이트래킹(eye-gaze tracking), 영상거리측정(image distance measurement), 눈 데이터분석(eye data analysis)의 3가지 핵심기술을 제안한다.

  • The emergence of smart phones has brought about a revolution in introducing a computer into the palm of a hand, and this revolution has lead to a smart society that offers comfort and joy in life; however, some side effects including a smart phone syndrome have been identified on a wider and more varied scale compared with any other IT devices of the past. This paper deduced side effect types and key issues according to type focusing on risk factors in accordance with the purpose of the use of smart phones, and diagnosed social effects based on them. In addition, based on the diagnosed results, the study proposed solutions to minimize side effects in order to produce social understanding and sympathy concerning the desirable utilization of smart phones. The proposed solutions should be able to cope with visible and potential side effects systematically by helping people to utilize smart phones, which are a platform of creativity, cooperation, communications, and entertainments, in a desirable way.

The Convergence Effect of the Willingness to use Smartphone Application on Therapeutic Lifestyle Change among People with Mental Illness (스마트폰 앱 활용의지가 정신질환자의 생활습관 개선에 미치는 융합적 효과)

  • We aimed to construct and test a structural equation model to analyze the convergence effect of utilizing smartphone technology for Therapeutic Lifestyle Change(TLC) among people with mental illness. A survey using a structured self-questionnaire was conducted from 549 male and 357 female subjects. The data was analyzed by SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 21.0. The model fit for the modified hypothetical model was shown: Q(${\chi}^2/df$)=3.241, AGFI=0.968, CFI=0.970, RMSEA=0.050(95% CI=0.035, 0.065), SRMR=0.048. In modified model from hypothetical model, the opinions about smartphone use affect the willingness to use smartphone applications. And the willingness to use smartphone applications affect dietary and living habits. The result of this study suggests that a convergent study using various delivery systems such as smartphone technology is necessary to implement TLC, which can facilitate the prevention of the metabolic syndrome among people with schizophrenia.
