  • 스마트 폰과 같은 모바일 기기에서 사용자의 다양한 요구 사항을 충족해야하는 요구가 늘어남에 따라, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 등의 이종 무선 라디오가 단일 칩에 통합된 Wi-Fi 및 Bluetooth 콤보 모듈이 보편화 되었다. 본 연구에서는 Wi-Fi / Bluetooth 콤보 통신 모듈을 장착한 모바일 기기에서 모바일 스트리밍을 이용할 경우, Bluetooth 사용이 사용자 체감 품질(Qualty-of-Experience)에 미치는 영향을 조사한다. 실측을 통한 실험 결과, Wi-Fi와 블루투스를 동시에 사용하는 환경에서는 Wi-Fi만을 이용하는 환경에 비해 최대 55 %의 성능 저하를 보인 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 이기종 통신 모듈의 사용에 따른 물리 및 링크 계층의 전송 스케쥴링이 최상위 사용자 계층의 성능에 미치는 영향을 밝혀냈다는 중요성을 갖는다.

Design and Implementation of Indoor Location Recognition System based on Fingerprint and Random Forest (핑거프린트와 랜덤포레스트 기반 실내 위치 인식 시스템 설계와 구현)

  • As the number of smartphone users increases, research on indoor location recognition service is necessary. Access to indoor locations is predominantly WiFi, Bluetooth, etc., but in most quarters, WiFi is equipped with WiFi functionality, which uses WiFi features to provide WiFi functionality. The study uses the random forest algorithm, which employs the fingerprint index of the acquired WiFi and the use of the multI-value classification method, which employs the receiver signal strength of the acquired WiFi. As the data of the fingerprint, a total of 4 radio maps using the Mac address together with the received signal strength were used. The experiment was conducted in a limited indoor space and compared to an indoor location recognition system using an existing random forest, similar to the method proposed in this study for experimental analysis. Experiments have shown that the system's positioning accuracy as suggested by this study is approximately 5.8 % higher than that of a conventional indoor location recognition system using a random forest, and that its location recognition speed is consistent and faster than that of a study.

  • Technology that can determine the location of individuals is required in a variety of applications such as location based control, a personalized advertising. Missing-child prevention and support for field trips, and applications such as push events based on the user's location is endless. In particular, the technology that can determine the location without interruption in the indoor and outdoor spaces have been studied a lot recently. Because emphasizing on accuracy of the positioning, many conventional research have constraints such as using of additional sensing devices or special mounting devices. The algorithm proposed in this paper has the purpose of performing the positioning only with standard equipment of the smart phone that has the most users. In this paper, sensor Fusion with GPS, WiFi Radio Map, Accelerometer sensor and Particle Filter algorithm is designed and implemented. Experimental results of this algorithm shows superior performance than the other compared algorithm. This could confirm the possibility of using proposed algorithm on actual environment.

  • 오디오와 음성 압축 기술적 근간은 서로 다르지만, 최근의 모바일 멀티미디어 기기 시장의 컨버전스 현상에 따라 압축하고자 하는 신호가 혼용되고 있으며, 비슷한 목표 전송률과 음질로 수렴하고 있다. 현재는 동일 기기에서 서로 다른 압축 기술을 적용하고 있으나, 음성과 음악이 동시에 서비스 되는 멀티미디어 기기에서는 단일 압축 방식으로 처리하고자 하는 이슈가 부각되고 있다. 특히, 스마트 폰 및 음악 콘텐츠 포탈 서비스의 대중화를 고려할 때, 음성 및 음악 신호 모두를 효율적으로 압축하는 음악 및 음성 신호의 융합 압축 기술이 더욱 필요해 보인다. 본 고에서는 MPEG 오디오 그룹에서 가장 최근 진행한 Unified Speech and Audio Coding(USAC)의 탄생 배경 및 표준화 현황을 소개한다. USAC는 64kbps 이하에서 기술적으로 최고 성능을 지닌 AMR-WB+ 및 HE-AAC v2보다도 우월한 음질을 보이며, 높은 비트율에서도 동등한 음질을 보장한다. 이런 우수한 음질에 기여한 USAC의 스위칭 구조와 더불어 기술적으로 향상된 주요 모듈인 파라미터 기반 스테레오 및 고주파 압축, 그리고 엔트로피 코딩 방식에 대해서 살펴 본다. 향후, 다양한 오디오 신호를 효율적으로 압축하는 USAC는 디지털 라디오, 모바일 TV, 그리고 오디오 북과 같은 사용자 시나리오에서 사용될 확률이 높아 보인다. 또한, USAC는 배경 잡음이나 배경 음악이 있는 경우에도 성능이 우수하기 때문에 YouTube 및 podcast 등과 같이 사용자가 콘텐츠를 생성할 때도 유용하게 사용 될 수 있다.

  • 국외의 상수도 원격검침 시스템 내 데이터 전송방식은 도시 규모, 계량기의 밀도, 전력공급 여부 및 통신망의 설치 여부 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 결정되었다. 대부분의 스마트워터미터 제조업체들은 계량기의 부호기가 공급하는 판독 내용(데이터)을 전송할 검침단말기와 근거리 통신망(neighborhood area network)을 연계하여 개발 및 판매하였으며, 자체 소유 통신 프로토콜을 사용하여 라디오 주파수(RF) 통신 기술을 사용하고 있다. 광역통신망(wide area network)의 경우, 노드(말단의 계량기 및 센서)들과 이에 연결된 통신망 들을 포함한 네트웍의 배열이나 구성이 스타(star), 메쉬(mesh), 버스(bus), 나무(tree) 등의 형태로 통신망이 구성되어 있으나, 스타와 메쉬형 통신망 구성형태가 가장 널리 활용되는 것으로 조사되었다. 시스템 통합운영관리 업체들인 IBM, Oracle, Itron 등은 용수 인프라 관리 또는 통합네트워크 솔루션 등의 통합 물관리 시스템(integrated water management system)을 개발하여 현장적용을 하고 있으며, 원격검침 시스템을 통해 고객들의 현재 소비량과 과거 누적 소비량, 누수 감지 서비스 및 실시간 요금 고지 등을 실시간으로 웹 포털과 앱을 통해 제공하고 있다. 또한, 일부 제조업체들은 도시 용수공급/소비 관리자가 주민의 용수사용량을 모니터링하여 일평균 용수사용량 및 사용 경향을 파악하고, 누수를 검지하여 복구 및 용수 사용 지속가능성 지수를 제시하고, 실시간으로 주민의 용수사용량 관련 데이터를 모니터링하여 용수공급의 최적화를 위한 의사결정지원 서비스를 용수공급자에게 제공하고 있다. 최근에는 인공지능을 활용해 가정용수의 용도별(세탁용수, 화장실용수, 샤워용수, 식기세척용수 등) 사용량 곡선을 패터닝하여 profiling 기법을 도입해, 스마트워터미터에서 용수사용량이 통합되어 검지될 시 용수사용량의 세부 용도별 re-profiling 기법을 도입하여 가정용수내 과소비되는 지점을 도출 후 절감을 유도하는 기술이 개발 중이다. 또한, 미래 용수 사용량 예측을 위해 다양한 시계열 자료를 분석하는 선형 종속 모형(자기회귀모형, 자기회귀이동평균모형, 자기회귀적분이동평균모형 등)과 비선형 종속 모형(Fuzzy Logic, Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm 등)을 활용한 예측기능이 구축되어 상호 비교하여 최적의 용수사용량 예측 도구를 제공되고 있다.

Characteristics of Highschool Students about Choosing a University (고교생들의 대학진학선택에 대한 특성)

  • The objective of this paper is to understand the characteristics of highschool students in selecting a career. The subject included 750 students from, who became a university student in 2011. The most of number of students answered that they applied to 3 to 4 universities and they decided their major and university on their last year of high school. Many placed weight on the major rather than the school. Among types of selecting career, family-type received the most voted. In selecting a major, the most answered that they consider their aptitude and then career opportunity. Most students said they were equipped with information and knowledge about the major they applied for beforehand. In selecting a university, many mainly applied for the ones with the highest chance of getting accepted. Many said they learned of the university from their high school/teacher or through the internet. A very few answered that they learned of the university through media such as TV/radio and newspaper. Therefore, appropriate information should be provided to the ones who have the greatest influence on students in selecting a career, family. Also, universities need to develop a promotion strategy that utilizes high schools as well as the internet and smartsphones.

  • Our research is aimed at developing an architectural frame-work of USN sensor network discovery service systems. The research is fo-cused on the four areas a survey of USN technology, development of a USN software model, development of the design space of the USN sensor network discovery service, and finally the architectural framework of the USN sensor network dicovery service. The survey of the USN technology is conducted on four technological visions that contain USN system technology, USN networking technology, and USN middleware along with the service platform, With respect to each technological division, domestic and worldwide leading research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research projects are primarily explored with their technical features and research output To provide a means to analyze sensor network discovery services, we devel-oped the design space of the sensor network discovery services by exploring the scalability with respect to query scope, lookup performance, and resolution network.

  • Recently, the boundaries between people who produce and consume digital contents disappears due to the massive developments in information and communications technology (ICT) and the rapidly increasing spread of smartphones unlike in the traditional mass media (e.g., newspapers, radios, and TVs). Through the open service platform, the problem perception for each individual remains the same, but the problem solving methods varies as the service types have been diversified. The creation of added value through the growth of the new media platform industry is expected to enrich our lives, but it can also cause severe social side effects. For example, communication problems between social classes due to the information gap have led to generational conflict, and if such problems persist, it can cause national and social losses. Therefore, this paper analyzes the policy efforts to resolve the information gap and the necessity of the legalization of multimedia literary education to maximize the synergy effect through psychological model.

A Design of Ultra-low Noise LDO Regulator for Low Voltage MEMS Microphones (저전압 MEMS 마이크로폰용 초저잡음 LDO 레귤레이터 설계)

  • Microphones can convert received voice signals to electric signals. They have been widely used in various industries such as radios, smart devices and vehicles. Recently, the demands for small size and high sensitive microphones are increased according to the minimization of wireless earphone with the development of smart phone. A MEMS system is a good candidate for an ultra-small size microphone of a next generation and a read out IC for high sensitive MEMS sensor is researched from many industries and academies. Since the microphone system has a high sensitivity from environment noise and electric system noise, the system requires a low noise power supply and some low noise design techniques. In this paper, a low noise LDO is presented for small size MEMS microphone systems. The input supply voltage of the LDO is 1.5-3.6V, and the output voltage is 1.3V. Then, it can support to 5mA in the light load condition. The integrated output noise of proposed LDO form 20Hz to 20kHz is about 1.9uV. These post layout simulation results are performed with TSMC 0.18um CMOS technology and the size of layout is 325㎛ × 165㎛.

Dietary behaviors of female marriage immigrants residing in Gwangju, Korea (광주지역에 거주하는 결혼이주 여성의 식생활 조사)

  • Purpose: This cross-sectional study aimed to document the dietary behaviors, dietary changes, and health status of female marriage immigrants residing in Gwangju, Korea. Methods: The survey included 92 female immigrants attending Korean language class at a multi-cultural family support center. General characteristics, health status, anthropometric data, dietary behaviors, and dietary changes were collected. Results: Mean age of subjects was 31.3 years, and home countries of subjects were Vietnam (50.0%), China (26.0%), Philippines (12.0%), and others (12.0%). Frequently reported chronic diseases were digestive diseases (13.2%), anemia (12.1%), and neuropsychiatry disorder (8.9%). Seventeen percent of the subjects was obese ($BMI{\geq}25kg/m^2$). Dietary score by Mini Dietary Assessment was 3.45 out of 5 points. Dietary scores for dairy foods, meat/fish/egg/bean intake, meal regularity, and food variety were low, and those for fried foods and high fat meat intake were also low. Thirty-three percent of subjects answered that they have changed their diet and increased their consumption of fruits and vegetables after immigration. Length of residence in Korea was positively associated with BMI and waist circumference. Length of residence tends to be positively associated with dietary changes and obesity as well as inversely associated with disease prevalence. Conclusion: The study shows that length of residence is inversely related to disease prevalence. However, this association is thought to be due to the relatively short period of residence in Korea and thus the transitional phase to adapting to dietary practices. As the length of residence increases, disease patterns related to obesity are subject to change. Healthy dietary behaviors and adaptation to dietary practices in Korea in female marriage immigrants will not only benefit individuals but also their families and social structure. Therefore, varied, long-term, and target-specific studies on female marriage immigrants are highly needed.
