The Study on Traffic Accident of Commercial Vehicle using Odered Logit Model (순서형 로짓모형을 이용한 화물차 운전자 사고 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 수집된 자료에서 화물차 교통사고를 분류하고 계절과 기상상태, 도로유형, 법규위반, 사고유형 측면에서 각각의 변수들이 사고 심각도에 미치는 영향을 파악함으로써 유의하게 화물차 교통사고 심각도를 높이는 요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 화물차 사고는 가을의 경우 사고 심각도의 오즈비가 1.23배로 증가하고, 안개가 꼈을 경우 사고 심각도는 16.49배 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 법규위반, 도로형태, 사고유형 등 여러 요인에 의한 사고 위험도가 증가했지만 특히 도로 외 이탈로 인한 추락사고에서 사고 위험도가 크게 나타났으며 전도전복으로 인한 사고 위험도도 큰 것으로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the reverse mortgage utilization and satisfaction of the elderly. Based on the survey data of the reverse mortgage demand in 2016, we carried out empirical analysis using the binary logit model and the ordered logit model. First of all, as a result of the empirical analysis using the binary logit model, the determinants of using the reverse mortgage were age, region, assets, household member, children with financial help, and education level. As a result of the empirical analysis using the ordered logit model, the determinants of the satisfaction level of the reverse mortgage were estimated to be age, gender, and region. Based on the results of the empirical analysis, it is necessary to find a way to increase the participation rate of the reverse mortgage and to improve the satisfaction of the user.

  • This study aims to analyse the consumer and regional dwellers preferences of nonghyup influenced by contributions of socio-economical using ordered logit model. The survey data were obtained from 225 adults in Chungnam province, cross sectional data in 2007. This paper especially estimates the impact of socio-economic characteristics, such as sex, occupation, school career, and emotional and subjective recognition of contributions of regional socio-economical and culture development, social welfare, It also examines the impact of recognition of cooperational level with local government's policy, customer satisfaction ratings, degree of business ethics. The main results are as follows; the consumer and regional dwellers preferences of nonghyup is not affected by sex, occupation, school career. But the consumer and regional dwellers preferences of nonghyup is influenced by emotional and subjective recognition of contributions of regional socio-economical and culture development, social welfare, It also influenced by emotional and subjective recognition of policy cooperation level with local government, customer satisfaction ratings, degree of business ethics.

Analysis of Bus Accident Severity Using K-Means Clustering Model and Ordered Logit Model (K-평균 군집모형 및 순서형 로짓모형을 이용한 버스 사고 심각도 유형 분석 측면부 사고를 중심으로)

  • Although accident data from the National Police Agency and insurance companies do not know the vehicle safety, the damage level information can be obtained from the data managed by the bus credit association or the bus company itself. So the accident severity was analyzed based on the side impact accidents using accident repair cost. K-means clustering analysis separated the cost of accident repair into 'minor', 'moderate', 'severe', and 'very severe'. In addition, the side impact accident severity was analyzed by using an ordered logit model. As a result, it is appeared that the longer the repair period, the greater the impact on the severity of the side impact accident. Also, it is appeared that the higher the number of collision points, the greater the impact on the severity of the side impact accident. In addition, oblique collisions of the angle of impact were derived to affect the severity of the accident less than right angle collisions. Finally, the absence of opponent vehicle and large commercial vehicles involved accidents were shown to have less impact on the side impact accident severity than passenger cars.

  • A Bayesian threshold model is considered to analyze binary or ordered categorical traits. Gibbs sampler for making full Bayesian inferences about the category probability as well as the regression coefficients is described. The model can be regarded as an alternative to the ordered logit regression model. Numerical examples are shown to demonstrate the efficiency of the model.

  • This study presents risk ranking by accident types at intersections, crosswalk and tunnel sections. An ordered logit model was used to estimate the accident severity of traffic accidents based on 58,868 accident records that have occurred on the Seoul and Gyeonggi-do over the period 2014-2017. The factors affecting the injury severity were identified by the estimated model first, and risk ranking was proposed according to conditions of accident occurrence using relative ratio analysis later. The analysis results showed that the injury severity dramatically depends on the location and time of the accident. The analysis results showed that the injury severity dramatically depends on the location and time of the accident. Furthermore, there are severe injury cases in terms of the injury severity despite the small number of occurrence of traffic accident, or there are severe injury cases in terms of the injury severity despite the high frequency of occurrence of traffic accident.

  • This study focused on estimating influential factors of traffic accidents and analyzing traffic accident severity of elderly and non elderly using traffic accident data. In order to reclassify elderly and non elderly traffic accident by a statistical method from entire traffic accident data, multiple discriminant analysis was applied. Also ordered logit model was applied for analyzing traffic accident severities using traffic accident severities as an independent variable and transportation facilities, road conditions and human characteristics as dependent variables. As results of the comparison between elderly and non elderly traffic accident, the traffic accident severity was affected by the age, types of traffic accidents, human characteristics and road conditions as well. Also, transportation facilities and road conditions affected to more elderly traffic accident than non elderly. Therefore, traffic accident severity would be decreased with the improvement of transportation facilities and road conditions for the elderly.

  • This Paper presents the severity analysis result of the year 2006 national pedestrian crashes using the data base of 37,589 records prepared for the National Police Bureau. A set of attributing factors considered to affect pedestrian crash patterns were selected, and their contributing effects were investigated by applying the Ordered Logit Model. This model was selected because this model has been able to afford satisfactory results when the dependent variable involved ordered severity levels; fatal, injury, and property- damage-only in this investigation. The investigation has unveiled the followings; First, the pedestrian crash patterns were dependent upon human -drivel and pedestrian- characteristics including gender, age, and drinking conditions. Second, other contributing factors included vehicle, roadway geometric, weather, and hour of day characteristics. Third, seasonal effect was not contributive to crash patterns. Finally, the application of the Ordered Logit Model facilitated the ordered severity level analysis of the pedestrian crash data. This paper concludes that conventional wisdom on the pedestrian crash characteristics is largely truthful. However, this conclusion is limited only to the data used in this analysis, and further research is required for its generalization.

Life Satisfaction of Urban-to-Rural Migrants in South Korea - Income vs. Nature - (귀농·귀촌인의 소득만족도와 자연환경만족도 비교 분석)

  • 농촌인구의 급격한 감소와 고령화 속에서 농촌의 지속가능성을 위한 방안으로 귀농·귀촌의 확대가 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 귀농·귀촌인의 생활만족도 결정요인을 분석함으로써 도시민의 농촌 이주와 성공적인 정착을 촉진하기 위한 정책적 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 특히 귀농·귀촌의 주요 동기가 소득이나 농촌의 자연환경이라는 점에서, 생활만족도를 자연환경만족도와 소득만족도로 구분하여 비교 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 분석에는 순서형 로짓모형과 일반화 로짓모형을 사용하였고, 분석자료는 2016년 「귀농귀촌실태조사」 원자료이다. 분석결과, 귀농·귀촌인의 자연환경만족도는 상당히 높으나 소득만족도는 보통 수준에 미치지 못하였다. 귀농·귀촌의 이유가 자연환경이거나, 귀농·귀촌 시 가족의 지지가 있었거나, 귀농·귀촌 이후 주변 이웃들과 좋은 관계를 유지하거나, 지자체로부터 귀농·귀촌 지원을 받은 경우, 귀농·귀촌인의 소득만족도와 자연환경만족도가 모두 높았다. 이러한 공통적인 요인 이외에 귀농·귀촌인의 소득만족도와 자연환경만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 소득만족도는 현재 가구소득이나 귀농·귀촌 전·후 소득 변화와 같은 경제적 요인에 의해 영향을 받으나, 자연환경만족도는 귀농·귀촌 시 배우자의 동행 여부나 지역사회 참여와 같은 사회적 요인에 의해 주로 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The nonresponse in sample survey causes a problem when it comes time to analyze dataset in public-use files where the user has only complete-data methods available and has limited information about the reasons for nonresponse. Recently imputation for nonresponse is becoming a standard approach for handling nonresponse and various imputation methods have been devised . However, most imputation methods concern with continuous traits while many interesting features are measured by binary or ordered categorical scales in sample survey. In this note. an imputation method for ignorable nonresponse in binary or ordered categorical traits is considered.
