  • The generated torque of a switched reluctance(SR) motor is highly nonlinear, which makes it difficult to determine the reference current commands for minimum torque ripples. In this paper, we present a computationally simple and efficient method to minimize torque ripples of SR motors based on iterative learning control. The reference current command of each phase minimizing torque ripples is identified in 2-dimensional look-up table form. Our learning control algorithm does not require the torque model, so our method is not affected by model errors and hence is very accurate. In order to justify our work, we present some computer simulation results.

  • The control laws for cart-pole system are studied to see the schemes on which the control laws are made. Also, the odd symmetry of the relation between the output of the control laws and the system state vector is observed. Utilizing the symmetry in quantizing the system state variables and implementing the control laws into look-up table is discussed. Then, a CMAC is trained for a nonlinear control law for a cart-pole system such that the symmetry is conserved and its learning performance is evaluated. It is found that utilizing the symmetry is to reduce the memory requirement as well as the training period while improving the learning quality in terms of preserving the symmetry.

  • This paper is to technically implement the sensing platform for Home-Wellness Robot. First, self-localization technique is based on a smart home and object in a home environment, and IOT(Internet of Thing) between Home Wellness Robots. RF tag is set in a smart home and the absolute coordinate information is acquired by a object included RF reader. Then bluetooth communication between object and home wellness robot provides the absolute coordinate information to home wellness robot. After that, the relative coordinate of home wellness robot is found and self-localization through a stereo camera in a home wellness robot. Second, this paper proposed fuzzy control methode based on a vision sensor for approach object of home wellness robot. Based on a stereo camera equipped with face of home wellness robot, depth information to the object is extracted. Then figure out the angle difference between the object and home wellness robot by calculating a warped angle based on the center of the image. The obtained information is written Look-Up table and makes the attitude control for approaching object. Through the experimental with home wellness robot and the smart home environment, confirm performance about the proposed self-localization and posture control method respectively.

  • In order to acquire an image from a gamma camera, linearity correction must be performed. To this end, digital coordinates are acquired by using a linearity map to accurately specify the location where the scintillator and gamma rays interact. In this study, a method for acquiring undistorted images and digital coordinates was developed using a lookup table and maximum likelihood position estimation without using a linearity map. The proposed method was verified by configuring a small gamma camera through DETECT2000 simulation. A gamma camera was constructed using a GAGG scintillator and a SiPM optical sensor, and a gamma-ray interaction was generated at the center of the scintillator, and a lookup table was prepared using the ratio of the signals obtained from the SiPM. Through the prepared lookup table and the maximum likelihood position estimation, the position of the signal obtained by the gamma-ray interaction was acquired as digital coordinates to compose an image. As a result, the linearity was maintained compared to the generally acquired image, the accuracy of the location where the gamma-ray interaction was generated was excellent, and the distance between the locations was uniform. Since the lookup table obtained through simulation is created using the ratio of the signal, it can be directly used in the experiment, and the position of the signal can be conveniently obtained with digital coordinates with corrected linearity without creating a linearity map.
