Foreign subsidiary operation modes can be broadly divided into horizontal subsidiaries and vertical subsidiaries. According to institutional theory, foreign subsidiary operation mode differs depending on the host country institution. This study examines the effects of formal and informal institution on the foreign subsidiary operational mode of Korean firms. As a result of the empirical analysis, the higher the cultural distance and the lower political risks, the more favored the vertical foreign operation mode than the horizontal foreign operation mode. On the other hand, the higher the economic freedom and the lower corruption, the more favored the horizontal foreign operation mode than the vertical foreign operation mode.

Many companies have tried to develop the horizontally vibrating linear motor, for sliming the smart phone. Mathematical modeling and analysis is one of method to simulate the dynamic performance of the horizonatally vibrating linear motor. However, the horizontally vibrating linear motor vibrates in twisting mode because there are two kinds of force acting on the vibrating part. One is are the horizontal force by Lorentz force. The other is the vertical force by attraction force between magnet of vibrating part and bracket and the gravity force of vibrating part. However, those are very difficult to be included in mathematical modeling which generate the simulation errors. In this paper, we perform MFBD (multi flexible body dynamics) simulation using commercial dynamic analysis program "DAFUL". In our new model, the force effects those are neglected in mathematical model, are included. For the verification, the simulation results are compared with the experiment results with manufactured prototype.

The goal of this paper was to understand the skill-up experiences of ex-participants of the customized training program in Technical High Schools for Small and Medium Business during first 2 years in Company through qualitative interviews with 3 purposefully selected ex-participants. Their core skill-up experience in this period was assumed as the shift from' dependent worker' to 'independent worker' on the base of literature review. The results of this study were following : 1. The small and medium companies offered a few formal training for newcomers, production-site orientation through short job rotation, linking them with skilled workers and job manuals or job standards. 2. Authentic skill-up experiences were combined with a structured reprimand, peer learning, deep learning through reflection on one's own experiences. 3. There were a few handicap conditions that disturbed their skill-up activities: the skilled worker don't open their skill toward new corner; the ex-participants in company had no time to learn anything meaningful to up-grade their competency.

건축공학과를 졸업하고 구조설계 실무 분야로 진출하는 이의 비율이 3~5%라는 비공식 통계가 있다. 이 통계 숫자가 말하듯이 건축구조설계업은 건축공학과 졸업자가 택하는 소수의 직업군에 속한다. 재학시에는 콘크리트 구조, 강구조 및 여타 구조 과목을 해당 분야를 전공한 교수진으로부터 각각 배우지만 실무에서는 맡겨진 프로젝트에 의해 구조 형식이 결정되고 스스로의 노력과 회사 내 시스템을 통해 해결해야 하므로 구조 형식 전반에 걸친 프로패셔널(professional)이 되어야 한다. 콘크리트에 대한 전문지식도 학교에서는 콘크리트의 기본 사항, 수직 및 수평 부재의 단면 설계 연습 등을 통해 기본적인 단계의 지식을 습득한다. 그러나 실무에서는 구조 시스템, 콘크리트 프레임의 거동 및 수많은 부재의 단면 설계 등과 같이 포괄적인 지식이 주종을 이룬다.(중략)

Due to the fact that it is relatively easy to transfer technology between application developers or content providers, low entry barrier in the business causes fierce competition among the venture companies in mobile service industry. Our study examines a sustainable strategies to operate a business for venture companies that are in a highly competitive technology-intensive industry. In this paper, we examine how venture firms created a network and brought synergy effects, using network theory. Korean venture firm, YelloMobile, uses unique strategies of merger and acquisition through the method of swapping equity and thereby establishing network. We contribute to expand network theory by examining three elements of network: such as network structure, network governance mechanisms, and network contents.
