Breeding of New Cultivar 'Hongsil' in Forcing Culture of Strawberry for Export (수출용 촉성재배 딸기 신품종 '홍실' 육성)

  • The 'Hongsil' strawberry ($Fragaria{\times}ananassa$ Duch.) is a new cultivar released by Gyeongsangnam-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services in 2015. This cultivar originated from a 2011 cross between '802a312' and 'Okmae' and exhibited suitable fruit characteristics for export due to the high soluble solids content and firmness of the fruit. The breeding line '1116-74-15' was selected as an elite line after examining its characteristics and productivity from 2013 to 2014. A field trial of this line was conducted on a farm in 2015, and it was registered as 'Hongsil' thereafter. The 'Hongsil' strawberry demonstrates intermediate plant type and moderate vigor in growth. It is suitable for forcing culture due to its early flower bud differentiation and low chilling requirement. The soluble solids content of 'Hongsil' is $10.0^{\circ}Brix$, which is approximately $0.4^{\circ}Brix$ higher than that of 'Seolhyang' The Fruit firmness of 'Hongsil' is $13.1g{\cdot}mm^{-2}$, similar to that of 'Maehyang'. Fruits of 'Hongsil' are long conical having a red skin color and marketable yield is $4,269kg{\cdot}10a^{-1}$ which is 16% higher than that of 'Maehyang'. The 'Hongsil' cultivar is sensitive to powdery mildew, and it therefore warrants further investigation regarding disease control.

  • Korean traditional alcohol's growth gets declined after Makgeolli's boom and it's time to enter the takeoff stage using cup based on the characteristics of each alcohols in order to their globalization and quality improvement. For now, there are 3 features of Korean traditional alcohol's cup design development; subdivision, quality improvement, systematization. However, there's no product design case that reflect the characteristics of the alcohol from the planning phase. Therefore, it needs to establish process technology for storytelling and emotion based cup design. This research aims to extract the specification for cup design and to find out the visualization element of cup's shape and material by studying 5 senses and traditional alcohol's objective informations. Through the study, the elements that can maximize the specific traditional alcohol's marketability: cup's label, pattern, decorative element based on the storytelling like history and tale were found. As a result, those result can give a new export strategy by developing competitive design that has emotional element and storytelling from the traditional alcohol's characteristics in a situation of stagnant export of the small sized home-brewed liquor business.

  • In this study, as the result of analyzing the relationship and influence between economic outcome and R&D supporting investment, the number of supporting subjects among the technological innovational areas of SMEs, it is as below. First, as the economic result of analyzing companies from the investment in R&D of technological innovational areas of minor companies, the number of supporting subjects and amount of R&D have relationship with increase of sales and export amount, employee reduction & the effect of new job creation shows positive correlation with the effect of import replacement. Second, as analyzing the influence of the investment in R&D has economic effect from of technological innovational minor companies. This is thought that the financial and R&D support increase a significant effect on economical, technical against SMEs.

  • 외환(外換) 및 자본자유화(資本自由化)의 진전에 따라 환율(換率)의 변동폭이 커지면서 환율(換率)이 국제수지(國際收支)에 미치는 영향에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 환율(換率)이 국제수지(國際收支)에 미치는 효과는 일차적으로 우리나라 수출입함수(輸出入函數)의 가격탄력성(價格彈力性)에 의해 결정되므로 정확한 탄성치(彈性値)를 추정하는 일은 이론적으로나 정책적으로 매우 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 본고에서는 우리나라 수입함수(輸入函數)의 소득(所得) 및 가격탄성치(價格彈性値) 추정에 있어서 사용 가능한 두가지의 가격지수(價格指數), 즉 수입단가(輸入單價)와 수입물가(輸入物價) 중 어느 것을 사용하는 것이 바람직한 것인지를 살펴보고 이중 이론적으로 우월한 지수를 이용하여 수입함수(輸入函數)의 소득(所得) 및 가격탄성치(價格彈性値)를 추정하고자 하였다. 분석으로부터 얻는 중요한 결론(結論)은, 우리나라의 경우 수입함수(輸入函數)의 분석에 있어서 수입단가(輸入單價)보다는 수입물가(輸入物價)를 이용하는 것이 더 적합하리라는 점이다. 이는 또한 우리나라 실질(實質)GNP의 추계에 있어서 현재의 수입단가(輸入單價) 이용방식에서 수입물가(輸入物價) 이용방식으로 편제방법을 바꾸는 것이 바람직하다는 것을 의미한다. 이같은 결론은 이론적, 실증적인 변에서 아래와 같은 네가지 이유에 근거한다. 먼저 이론적인 면에서는 첫째, 수입단가(輸入單價)가 물가지수(物價指數)로서 갖추어야 할 통계적 일관성을 갖추지 못하고 있다는 점을 지적할 수 있다. 즉 수입단가(輸入單價)는 어느 일정 규격조건(規格條件)의 상품가격(商品價格)을 일관성 있게 추적하는 것이 아니므로 잡다한 품질규격의 평균가격(平均價格)으로 나타날 가능성이 높으며 이러한 변에서 가격변화(價格變化)를 정확히 반영하지 못한다. 둘째, 수입단가지수(輸入單價指數)는 가격변화(價格變化)가 전혀 없을 때에도 총수입(總輸入)의 품목별 구성(構成)이 바뀌면 변동하는 속성을 지니고 있어 가격변동(價格變動) 상황(狀況)을 오도할 가능성을 지니고 있다. 다음으로 실증적인 면에서는 첫째, 수입단가(輸入單價)를 이용한 수입함수(輸入函數)에서는 가격변수(價格變數)의 계수(係數)가 이론상 기대되는 것과는 반대되는 부호를 가짐으로써 수입함수(輸入函數))로서의 기본적인 요건을 만족시키지 못하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 단가지수(單價指數)를 이용한 경우 소득(所得)과 상대가격(相對價格)을 회귀변수로 하는 수입함수(輸入函數)에서 장기안정적인 균충관계(均衝關係)가 존재하지 않은 것으로 판명되었다. 반면 수입물가(輸入物價)를 이용한 수입함수(輸入函數)에서는 각 변수의 계수(係數)가 이론적 기대치에 부합하였으며 장기안정적인 균충관계(均衝關係)가 성립하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 한편 미국에서는 수출입단가지수(輸出入單價指數)의 문제점에 대한 오랜 연구 결과, 1989년부터 단가지수(單價指數)의 편제를 아예 중단하는 조치를 취한 바 있으며, GNP추계에 있어서도 종래의 수출입단가(輸出入單價) 대신 수출입물가(輸出入物價)를 이용하는 방식으로 그 편제방법을 변경한 바 있다.

Effect of Harvest Time, Precooling, and Storage Temperature for Keeping the Freshness of 'Maehyang' Strawberry for Export (수출딸기 '매향'의 신선도 유지를 위한 수확시간, 예냉 및 저장온도의 효과)

  • This study was conducted to examine effects of harvest time (09:00 vs. 14:00), precooling at $4^{\circ}C$ vs. no precooling, and storage temperature (4 vs. $8^{\circ}C$) on the storage life of 'Maehyang' strawberry fruits for export. Fruits at a 60% ripe stage were harvested from a commercial greenhouse in Gyeongsangnamdo, Jinju on May 4, 2010. Fruits were precooled by a forced draft cooling for three hours, transported for about 30 minutes and then stored, immediately. Small precoolers set in the farm were used for precooling. Fruits were placed in constant temperature chamber (4 or $8^{\circ}C$) after packaging using PVC wrap and a cardboard box. Fruits were examined for their changes in weight, hardness, Hunter color values, soluble solids content (SSC), and incidence of gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) during storage at a two days interval from May 6 to May 14, 2010. Hardness and SSC decreased as the ripening stage progressed. The Hunter's 'L' and 'a' value of fruit color decreased as time passed. Also, fresh weight decreased during storage at all temperatures. Soft rot appeared on epidermal tissues and followed by gray mold. Incidence of gray mold was greater at $8^{\circ}C$ storage temperature than in $4^{\circ}C$ storage temperature. However, no difference by the harvested time and precooling. The results indicate that effectiveness for keeping the freshness was best achieved by precooling at $4^{\circ}C$ and storage at $4^{\circ}C$, respectively.

Effects of Storage Temperature on the Quality of Mini Paprika, (Capsicum annuum L. 'Hivita Yellow' & 'Hivita Red') Fruits (저장온도가 소과종 파프리카(Capsicum annuum. L, 'Hivita Yellow' & 'Hivita Red')의 과실품질에 미치는 영향)

  • Quality deterioration during storage such as weight and fruit firmness loss after harvest is one of the main problems in summer cultivation of mini paprika. Objective of this study was to determine appropriate storage temperature and duration in the mini paprika('Hivita Yellow' and 'Hivita Red'). More fruit firmness loss during storage was observed at higher storage temperature. Fruit firmness of 'Hivita Yellow' at $20^{\circ}C$ was $99.6g/cm^2$ after a 5-day storage whereas that decreased by $73.0g/cm^2$ after a 40-day storage. Storing 'Hivita Yellow' at $8^{\circ}C$ showed the lowest fruit firmness loss with 109.7 and $92.7g/cm^2$ after a 5-day and a 40-day storage, respectively. In both cultivars, soluble solids content of fruits was higher at $20^{\circ}C$ than at 4, 8 and $12^{\circ}C$. Higher temperature triggered more water loss of the fruits with more occurrence of soft rot and shriveling symptoms. The changes in electrolyte conductivity of fruits during storage was higher in the fruits at lower temperature. Fruit stored at $20^{\circ}C$ showed the highest respiration(more $CO_2$ and less $O_2$) during storage than fruits at the other storage temperatures.

  • 지구온난화와 그에 따른 기후변화로 수자원부족현상이 전지구적으로 나타남에 따라 세계 각국은 물부족 현상을 극복하기 위해 다양한 대처방안을 찾고 있다. 가상수 이론은 전세계적 차원에서 상품에 내재된 가상수를 통해 물을 공급하고 배분함으로써 물부족을 해결할 수 있다는 주장으로서 물부족현상에 처한 세계 각국의 관심을 끌고 있다. 특히 향후 국제적 수준에서 물거래에 대한 조치가 예상됨에 따라 이에 가상수가 국가간에 얼마나 어떠한 형태로 이동하는지 '가상수 이동'에 대한 정보가 필요하게 되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 지금까지의 가상수 흐름에 대한 정보는 미국이나 일본 등을 중심으로 한 자료뿐이었다. 한국을 중심으로 한국의 관심사를 반영한 가상수 이동에 대한 연구결과는 충분하지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전세계적 수준에서의 가상수 이동추이를 한국을 중심으로 분석하도록 한다. 분석수준은 전세계적 수준과 국가간 수준이며, 분석기간은 1989년부터 2014년까지 총 26년이다. 분석 대상은 가상수 교역이 활발한 주요 16개국의 11개 농축산물이다. 분석을 위한 자료로는 UN과 세계식량기구의 자료를 활용해 데이터셋을 구축했다. 분석결과 전세계적 수준에서는 콩, 옥수수, 밀, 보리가 주요 가상수 수출입 품목으로 밝혀졌다. 시기별로는 1999년 까지는 밀의 교역이 압도적이었으나 1999년 이후 콩 가상수의 교역이 증가하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 가상수의 유형과 관련해서는 녹색가상수의 교역이 청색가상수보다 압도적으로 많았으며, 국가간의 가상수 이동량은 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 추세임을 알 수 있었다. 가상수의 주요 수출국은 미국을 비롯해 브라질, 아르헨티나, 호주 등 농업대국이 상위권을 차지했고, 주요 수입국은 중국, 일본, 한국 등 동북아시아 국가들이었다. 가상수 수출은 미국이 분석기간 내내 우위를 차지하나, 2000년대 이후 중국의 부상이 눈에 띄는 변화라고 할 수 있다. 가상수 수입과 관련해서는 2000년대 이후 중국의 가상수 수입 증가 추세가 두드러졌다. 국가간 수준의 분석에서는 한국과 미국, 한국과 중국, 한국과 호주 등 한국의 주요 가상수 교역국가간의 흐름을 분석했다. 국가간 수준의 분석에서 특기할 만한 점은 미국에서 한국으로 이동한 전체 가상수의 81퍼센트를 녹색가상수가 차지하며, 한국에서 중국으로 이동한 가상수의 74퍼센트가 축산물 가상수라는 점이었다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 기반으로 해 향후에는 가상수 이동 데이터베이스를 구축할 것이 요구되며, 가상수 이동추이의 변화가 가져올 시나리오에 대한 연구도 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

Identification of Pigment Separated from Cockle Shell (새조개 연체부위의 색소 동정)

  • Physicochemical characteristics of pigment separated from cockle shell were studied. Pigment on the cockle shell was peeled with distilled water, and soaked in 4% TCA solution for 30 minutes and filtered. Filtrate was washed 3 times with distilled water and Iyophilized. Dried pigment was dissolved with 2N NaOH solution and preparative TLC with 2N NaOH : acetone(1 : 1). UV/vis spectrum of pigment separated from cockle shell and melanin as standard was same one peak at UV area and λ$_{max}$was 226nm. Dissolved property of pigment was same as that of melanin. Pigment was not ommochrome but like melanin, because it was insoluble in formic acid, whitening in $H_2O_2, $ and pattern of UV-spectrum was same as melanin. Pigment separated from cockle shell was stable at high temperatures. In thermal treatment at $70^{\circ}C, $ $80^{\circ}C, $ $90^{\circ}C$ and $100^{\circ}C$ for 8 hours, retention ratio of pigment separated from cockle shell were 95.0%, 93.3%, 90.8% and 87.6%, respectively.

Effects of Ebb-and-flow System with Double-tier Bench on Growth and Yield of Hydroponically Grown Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'I-Hong' (2단 벤치를 활용한 담배수 관수 시스템이 수경재배 비모란선인장 '이홍'의 생장 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • The Gymnocalycium mihanovichii has been an important export item of Korean flower industry for a long time. Although there is a high demand for grafted cactus from overseas, its production for export is limited. In this study, the growth and marketable yield characteristics of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'I-Hong' were compared between soil culture and ebb-and-flow hydroponic system with single- or double-tier bench. As a result, hydroponic methods with single-tier bench resulted in higher fresh weight and glove diameter compared to other cultivation methods. In the ebb-and-flow hydroponic system, hydroponic system with double-tier bench of grafted cactus traits has a lower growth rate than other cultivations. However, the hydroponic system with double-tier bench of grafted cactus significantly increased the yield. In conclusion, the yield from hydroponic system with double-tier bench was better than soil cultivation method. Although there were some differences in color depending on the cultivation method, it was considered that there was no difference in appearance of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'I-Hong'. Our results suggest the cultivation methods to overcome production constraints, expand their exports, and improve the value-added characteristics of grafted cactus.

An Empirical Analysis on the Appeal Case of Origin Verification for Korean Import Goods Using Bootstrapping Technique (부트스트랩 기법을 활용한 한국 수입 상품의 원산지검증 불복사례 실증분석)

  • Under the FTA agreement, preferential tariffs between FTA members will result in tariff reductions. In order to ensure the stable use of the FTA tariff system, it is necessary for the customs authorities to determine whether the origin goods are clearly applicable. This study analyzed the procedure of appeal according to the origin verification system based on the decision made by Korea Customs Service and Tax Tribunal. From this, we examined whether the rate of re-claiming a case rejected in the 'Review System of the Legality Before Taxation' differs. In addition, we carried out a quantitative analysis using bootstrapping technique in order to overcome the scarcity cases of verification of origin among FTA members. The implications of this paper are summarized as follows: First, we tested the hypothesis that the re-claiming rate of Western countries is higher. Second, some issues represented higher re-claiming rate. Third, there was no significant difference between the verification group and the re-claiming rate. Finally, even if an applicant makes a claim again, there is a possibility of being rejected again.
