Development of Failure Criterion of Hot Mix Asphalt Using Triaxial Shear Strength Test (삼축압축시험을 이용한 아스팔트 혼합물의 파괴기준 개발)

  • In general, Fracture of the material is not occurring of the maximum normal stress or the maximum shear stress failure in the state. Maximum normal stress and maximum shear stress in the state of Critical coupling from being destroyed based on the Mohr-Coulomb theory. Couple of different mixtures, including permeable asphalt pavement, SMA and dense-graded asphalt mixture, were used for compression triaxial test at $45^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$. Mohr-Coulomb theory to the analysis of compression triaxial test result of the internal friction angle $38.9^{\circ}{\sim}46.9^{\circ}$ measured somewhat irregularly, but in the case of cohesion, depending on whether the temperature and immersion of the specimen appeared differently. In addition, Indirect tensile test and compression triaxial test of the asphalt mixture to determine the correlation between compression triaxial test results assessed as cohesion and internal friction angle calculated using the theoretical Indirect tensile strength and measured indirectly tensile strength were analyzed. The Measured & Predicted IDT St values tended to be proportional.

국부적 강성 증가를 고려한 지오그리드-보강기층 모델링

  • 측면구속은 지오그리드에서 골재 입자의 상호결합과 관련된 주요 보강 메커니즘으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 실내실험을 통해 얻은 지오그리드-골재 상호결합에 의한 국부적 강성증가에 대한 결과를 토대로, 지오그리드로 보강된 기층을 포함한 포장구조체의 탄성 반응 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 기존의 실험적 연구에서는 지오그리드 배치된 시편 중간 높이로부터 거리가 멀어질수록 전단파 측정에서 추정된 전단탄성계수가 감소한다는 것을 보여주었다. 또한, 삼각형 지오그리드 근처의 강성 증가가 사각형 지오그리드 근처보다 크게 나타났다. 이러한 전단탄성계수 주상도를 기반으로, 수치해석적 연구에서는 기층의 4 개 하부층에 대한 탄성계수 값을 다르게 할당되었다. 층상 탄성해석 프로그램을 사용한 수치해석적 연구는 아스팔트층 하단에서 두 지오그리드 보강 포장시나리오의 수평방향 인장 응력과 변형이 미보강된 시나리오에 비해 감소했음을 보여주었다. 기층 중간깊이에서는 지오그리드 보강 포장시나리오의 압축응력이 미보강된 시나리오에 비해 보다 크게 나타났으며, 지오그리드 보강구간의 인장변형은 미보강된 구간보다 작게 나타났다. 삼각형 및 사각형 지오그리드의 사용은 기층 중간깊이에서 미보강된 시나리오에 비해 수직압축응력을 증가시키고 수직압축변형을 감소시켰다. 노상 상단에서는 지오그리드 보강 포장 구간의 수직 응력과 변형이 미보강된 구간보다 작았는데, 이는 노상의 침하 가능성이 낮다는 것을 보여주었다. 따라서, 지오그리드와 골재 간 미세역학적 상호결합을 기반으로 한 거시적 모델링 방법은 지오그리드로 보강된 아스팔트포장시스템의 역학적 분석에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Stress variation due to size variation and the eccentricity of ring type tensile specimen was analyzed by FLAC program. To get the stable tensile strength the ratio of inner to outer ring diameter should be within a certain range. Diameter ratio of 0.3 was suggested to be adequate. It seemed to be difficult to determine the tensile strength because of stress distortion if eccentricity exceeded home limit. To limit the error in 10%, lateral and axial eccentricity was analyzed to be in the limits of 3% and 10%, respectively.

  • In this work, the influence of milled carbon fiber direction on mechanical properties of milled carbon fibers/carbon blacks/natural rubber compounds was investigated. The compounds were prepared by adding the 6 phr milled carbon fibers (MCFs) and 40 phr carbon blacks (CBs) into the natural rubber. The MCFs were aligned in a parallel and orthogonal direction in the compounds using two-roll-mill machine. Mechanical properties of compounds were studied by tensile characteristics and tearing strength. As a result, the compounds showed higher tensile strength, 100%~300% modulus, and tearing strength than those of using any other compounds due to the aligning MCFs in parallel. Mechanical properties of the compounds reinforced with non-aligned MCFs were inferior to those of others. Consequently, the parallel aligned MCFs in the compounds led to an increase of tensile properties and improvement of tearing strength, resulted from MCFs with the high elastic modulus.

  • 본 연구에서는 촉각 센서와 에너지 수확소자가 한 소자에 융합되어있는 구조를 제안한다. 이 소자는 압전 스트랩과 유연한 튜브, 폴리머 필름으로 구성되어있으며, 유연하며 잘 늘어나는 직물구조를 갖는다. 완성된 소자에 수평방향의 인장 및 수축 힘이 가해지면 전압이 발생하여 에너지 수확소자로 동작하며, 수직방향의 힘이 가해지면 정전용량이 변화하여 촉각센서로 동작한다. 제작한 소자가 에너지 수확소자로 동작할 때 최대 36.6 V의 출력 전압이 측정되었으며, 소자를 누르는 수직힘이 증가할수록 정전용량이 커지는 것을 확인하였다.

Study on the optimization of additive manufacturing process parameters to fabricate high density STS316L alloy and its tensile properties (고밀도 STS316L 합금 적층 성형체의 제조공정 최적화 및 인장 특성 연구)

  • To optimize the process parameters of laser powder bed fusion process to fabricate the high density STS316L alloy, the effect of laser power, scanning speed and hatching distance on the relative density was studied. Tensile properties of additively manufactured STS316L alloy using optimized parameters was also evaluated according to the build direction. As a result of additive manufacturing process under the energy density of 55.6 J/mm3, 83.3 J/mm3 and 111.1 J/mm3, high density STS316L specimens was suitably fabricated when the energy density, power and scan speed were 83.3 J/mm3, 225 W and 1000 mm/s, respectively. The yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, and elongation of STS316L specimens in direction perpendicular to the build direction, show the most competitive values. Anisotropic shape of the pores and the lack of fusion defects probably caused strain localization which result in deterioration of tensile properties.

  • 이 연구는 발거 소구치에서 5급 와동을 형성하여 접착 시스템 및 와동 위치에 따른 상아질에 대한 접착시스템의 미세 인장결합강도의 차이를 비교, 연구하였다. 접착방법은 resin-modified glass ionomer(Gl), compomer(부식여부에 따라 DE 및 DN군으로 분류), 그리고 상아질 접착제인 Single Bond(SB) 및 Cleayfil SE Bond(SE)와 복합레진(Clearfil AP-X)을 사용한 5개의 실험군으로 분류하였다. 소구치 협측 치경부에 wedge형태의 와동을 형성하고 5종의 접착 시스템을 제조자의 지시에 따라 적용, 충전하여 시편을 제작하여 미세인장결합강도를 측정하고, One-way ANOVA / Duncan's test로 통계분석하였다. SEM 검사는 미세인장결합강도의 시편제작과 동일한 방법으로 시편을 제작한 후 관찰하였다. 실험 결과, 상아질 접착제 및 복합레진(SB, SE)의 미세인장결합강도가 GI보다 높게 나타났고(p<0.05), 치은측이 교합측보다 더 낮게 나타났으며, CI, DE, SE에서 유의성 있게 낮게 나타났다(p<0.05). Compomer에서 conditioning 여부(DN, DE)에 따른 변화는 치은측에서만 유의차 있는 것으로 나타났다. SEM 관찰에서, 교합측의 상아세관은 결합 계면과 평행하게 주행하였고, 치은측에서는 결합계면에 수직으로 주행하는 것으로 관찰되었다.

Cyclic Loading Test for Composite Beam-Column Joints using Circular CEFT Columns (콘크리트피복 원형충전강관 기둥-강재보 접합부에 대한 반복하중실험)

  • In this study, to investigate the seismic performance of beam-column joints using concrete-encased and -filled circular steel tube(CEFT) columns, two types of tests were performed: (1) column - flange tension test and (2) beam - column joint cyclic load test. In column - flange tension test, test parameters were concrete encasement and connection details: flange width and strengthening rebar. Five specimens were tested to investigate the load-carrying capacity and the failure mode. Test results showed that increase of flange width from 200mm to 350mm result in increase of connection strength and stiffness by 61% and 56%, respectively. Structural performances were further improved with addition of tensile rebars by 35% and 92%, respectively. In cyclic loading test, three exterior beam-column joints were prepared. Test parameters were strengthening details including additional tensile rebars, thickened steel tube, and vertical plate connection. In all joint specimens, flexural yielding of beam was occurred with limited damages in the connection regions. In particular, flexural capacity of beam-column joint was increased due to additional load transfer through tube - beam web connection. Also, connection details such as increase of tube thickness and using vertical plate connection were effective in improving the resistance of panel zone.

A Study on Seismic Performance for CFT Square Column-to-Beam Connections Reinforced with Asymmetric Lower Diaphragms (이형 하부다이아프램으로 보강된 각형 CFT 기둥-보 접합부의 내진성능에 관한 연구)

  • Most beam-to-column connections are symmetrically reinforced because of the reverse action caused by earthquakes. However, in weak-earthquake regions like Korea, asymmetrically reinforced connections could be used. In particular, the connections between concrete-filled tube (CFT) column and H-shape beam could be applied using a simplified lower diaphragm. The tensile capacity or Combined Cross Diaphragm for upper reinforcing was tested using a simple tension test. Four types for lower reinforcing combined Cross, none, horizontal T-bar, and vertical plate were tested using the ANSI/AISC SSPEC 2002 loading program. Horizontal T-bar and stud bolts in vertical flat, bar transmit tensile stress from the beam's bottom flange to filled concrete. All test specimens satisfied 0.01 radian inelastic rotational requirement in ordinary moment frame of AISC seismic provision. According to the results of the parametric studies simplified lower diaphragms demonstrated outstanding strength, stiffness, and plastic deformation capacity which could lead to more sufficient seismic performance in the field.
