Improved Coating of PEDOT : PSS onto CVD Graphene by the Addition of PVA (PVA의 첨가에 의한 CVD 그래핀상 PEDOT : PSS의 코팅성 향상)

  • We successfully coated poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) : poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT : PSS) on CVD graphene by adding poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) to PEDOT : PSS. Extensive studies on the wettability of coating solutions and electrical properties of formed films led us to conclude that PVA with 89% of the degree of saponification and the molecular weight of less than $100,000gmol^{-1}$ produced optimum results. Furthermore, the optimum content of PVA was found to be 5% of PEDOT : PSS by the solid weight. The film coated by PEDOT : PSS with PVA on CVD graphene displayed a conspicuous improvement in the surface roughness, adhesive property, bending durability and stability in resistance at $160^{\circ}C$, compared to those of using CVD graphene films.

Effect of the Array Type of Heat Exchangers on Performance of Refrigerated Warehouse for Utilization of LNG Cold Energy (LNG 냉열활용을 위한 열교환기의 배열 형태가 냉동창고 성능에 미치는 연구)

  • When liquefied natural gas (LNG) is vaporized to form natural gas for industrial and household consumption, a tremendous amount of cold energy is transferred from LNG to seawater as a part of the phase-change process. This heat exchange loop is not only a waste of cold energy, but causes thermal pollution to coastal fishery areas by dumping the cold energy into the sea. This project describes an innovative new design for reclaiming cold energy for use by cold storage warehouses (operating in the 35 to $62^{\circ}C$ range). Conventionally, warehouse cooling is done by mechanical refrigeration systems that consume large amounts of electricity for the maintenance of low temperatures. Here, a closed loop LNG heat exchange system was designed (by simulator) to replace mechanical or vapor-compression refrigeration systems. The software PRO II with PROVISION V9.4 was used to simulate LNG cold energy, gas re-liquefaction, and the vaporized process under various conditions. The effects on sensible and latent heats from changes to the array type of heat exchangers have been investigated, as well as an examination of the optimum.

Estimation of Greenhouse Gas Emission from Motorcycles in 2008 (이륜차의 온실가스 배출량 추정(2008))

  • Recently the number of motorcycles has increased in urban area, and it is believed that motorcycle is one of the air pollution and greenhouse gas emission sources. But the greenhouse gas emission from motorcycle has been high uncertainty due investigation of a lack of activity data and emission factors in Korea. So in this study, the greenhouse gas emission from motorcycle is estimated by considering the population of moped and VKT(vehicle kilometers travelled) of motorcycle by recent other studies. And the emissions by IPCC Tier 2 and Tier 3 methodology are calculated and compared. As the results, the nationwide $CO_2$ equivalent emissions from motorcycles by Tier 2 and Tier 3 method are calculated as 2,758 kton/yr and 2,739 kton/yr in 2008. The contribution ratio of this emission is estimated as 2.7% in on-road transport sector.

  • Off-road transportation sector including construction equipment, ground support equipment in airport, cargo handling equipment and agroforestry machinery have not calculated as emission source classification in 1A3e2. In this study, the statistics of oil consumption for construction, aviation, shipping and agroforestry are separated for this sector by oil type. And the greenhouse gas emission by off-road transportation emission factor in 1996 & 2006 IPCC Guidelines are calculated and compared with each other. As a result, the nationwide $CO_2$ equivalent emission from off-road transportations by the emission factor of 1996 & 2006 IPCC Guidelines are calculated as 4,919 kton/yr and 5,530 kton/yr in 2007. The contribution ratio of off-road transportation emission by this study is estimated as 5.5% to the subtotal emission from on-road transport sector.

Thermal and Surface Properties of PET/Nylon66/Clay Nanocomposites (PET/Nylon66/Clay 나노복합재료의 열적물성 및 표면특성)

  • Nanocomposites of blends of polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) and polyamide66 (Nylon66) containing natural and organically modified montmorillonite clays (PM, $Cloisite^{(R)}$ 25A and 15A) were prepared by melt mixing. DSC results showed that the addition of clay changed the crystallization behavior of PET/Nylon66 nanocomposites. Clay C25A was observed to most significantly change the crystallization temperature than other clays in blends of PET and Nylon66, which may be caused by the difference in interaction with matrix polymers. AFM results also showed that the lowest value of surface roughness was observed for nanocomposites containing C25A indicating the smooth and relatively homogenous surface. Mechanical properties measurement showed the similar results. Contact angle was measured to study the difference in hydrophobicity. An increase in contact angle was observed for nanocomposites with C25A or C15A due to the increased hydrophobicity.

  • 상수도시스템의 과정 중 최종 단계인 급수단계에서 지역전반에 수질문제가 발생할 경우, 직간접적인 피해의 해결은 장기간 지속될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 비정형정보의 빅데이터 분석을 통해 상수도시스템에서 수질사고 문제의 파급력과 2차 피해 등의 연결 관계 변화 추적을 위한 기초적 분석을 수행하였다. 과거 대규모 수질사고가 발생된 바 있는 인천광역시 유충발생 사고를 대상으로 뉴스 기사 웹크롤링 절차를 정립하고, 그 결과를 분석하였다. '인천 유충'이 최초 보도되었던 2020년 7월 13일 부터 이후 1년을 대상으로 네이버 통합검색에 의해 표출되는 뉴스기사를 웹크롤링하였으며, 프로그래밍을 통한 불용어 제거 및 관련성 검토를 통해 총 920건의 기사를 분석하였다. 수질사고의 전개양상에 따라 사고발생, 확산, 수습, 그리고 보상의 4단계로 임의 구분하여 분석하였다. 의미분석을 위한 토픽모델링 기법은 잠재 디리클레 할당(Latent Dirichlet Allocation, LDA) 방법을 적용하였으며, 긍부정 감정분석은 KNU 한국어 감성사전(KNU sentiment lexicon)을 활용하여 수행하였다. 토픽 모델링 결과, 사고 발생에서부터 확산, 수습, 보상의 단계에 맞춰 적절한 주제어의 조합에 따른 기사들이 도출되었으며, 단계별 긍부정 기사 비율역시 사고의 전개단계에 따라 적절히 나타남을 확인하였다. 제시된 수질사고 관련 비정형정보 분석 방법론과 결과는 과거 사고 사례 분석을 통한 검색 및 긍부정 키워드 확정, 키워드 발생 비율 변동(사고전과 후)에 따른 상황판단 기준설정 등에 활용이 가능하다.

Hydrogen Production from Pyrolysis Oil of Waste Plastic on 46-3Q Catalyst (46-3Q 촉매 상에서 폐플라스틱의 열분해 오일로부터 수소 제조 )

  • Pyrolysis oil (C5-C20) produced using plastic non-oxidative pyrolysis technology produces naphtha oil (C5-C10) through a separation process, and naphtha oil produces hydrogen through a reforming reaction to secure economic efficiency and social and environmental benefits. In this study, waste plastic pyrolysis oil was subjected to a steam reforming reaction on a commercialized catalyst of 46-3Q And it was found that the 46-3Q catalyst reformed the pyrolysis oil to produce hydrogen. Therefore, an experiment was performed to increase hydrogen yield and minimize the byproduct of ethylene. The reaction experiment was performed using actual waste plastic oil (C8-C11) with temperature, steam/carbon ratio (S/C) ratio, and space velocity as variables. We studied reaction conditions that can maximize hydrogen yield and minimize ethylene byproducts.
