Determinant Factors of Innovation Resistance of Social Media (소셜미디어 혁신저항 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study gave attention to the people who has resistance of the social media that tens to be the use as innovations. Therefore, this study examined the determinant factors of psychological resistance of the social media such as Twitter focused on students as none-users of social media. Total of 268 none-users participated in this study. The results were as follows. First, relative advantage influenced negatively on innovation resistance. Second, perceived complexity influenced significantly not on innovation resistance. Third, perceived risk influenced positively on innovation resistance. Therefore, social media related to social relationship should improve relative advantage, the other way, decrease perceived risk such as defamation and personal attack.

A Study on TV viewers' behavior on receiving family-related images reflected in soap operas and the determinants on it (텔레비전 드라마 수용자의 가족관련 이미지에 관한 수용행태 및 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine TV viewers' behavior on receiving family-related images reflected in soap operas and find the relationship between TV viewers' family-related value and TV viewers' behavior on receiving family-related images reflected in soap operas with empirical data. The data were collected from 500 adults aged 20-49 living in Seoul area for 3 days(January 17 to 19 of 2006). Statistical methods used were frequency, percentage, regression analysis. The results showed that TV viewer's family-related values and socio-economic characteristics influenced the family-related image reception behavior. Especially viewers' values about child was the most significant variable affecting TV viewers' receptions of family-related images reflected in soap operas.

Convention Participants' Environmental Awareness, Acceptance of Environment-friendly Convention Attributes, and Intention to Participate (컨벤션 참가자의 환경인식과 친환경 컨벤션 속성에 관한 수용도 및 참여의도)

  • As environment issues arise, environment-friendliness in convention industry has also been discussed. Guidelines are presented by government and convention organization to settle environment-friendly convention. However, these efforts focus on organizers and suppliers, lacking in understanding convention participants. This study tries to approach in perspective of convention participants to get useful information for environment-friendly convention. The research explores how they are aware of environment issues and accept environment-friendly convention attributes according to their cognition of environment. It also examines the relationship between those attributes and intention of participation according to their awareness of environment. The results shows that participants have high awareness about environmental issue and recognized high necessity for set up for specific action plan. They showed highest acceptance of venue followed by activity, transportation, food & beverage, and operation. High awareness group showed higher acceptance of environment-friendly convention attributes than low awareness group. 'Transportation', 'activity', and 'operation' among five attributes were examined to have significant effect on intention of participate environment-friendly convention in both groups.

Determinants of Intention to Use toward N Screen Service for Potential User (N스크린 서비스 잠재적 수용자의 수용의도 영향요인 연구)

  • Using technology acceptance model, this study investigates the factors affecting N-screen service adoption. We collected 435 available answers from potential users through systematic online survey. Results show that self-efficacy and perceived interactivity factors had positive effects on perceived ease of use. In addition, service variety, perceived interactivity, perceived ease of use factors had positive effects on perceived usefulness. Yet social effect factor had negative effect on perceived usefulness. On the other hand, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness had positive effect on the intention of use. In conclusion, to improve the intention to use N-screen service, it is necessary to make users convinced that N-screen service can give customized contents and interactive information regardless of time and place.

  • 미디어 문화는 대량 생산과 거대한 수용자 집단을 구성하고 있으며, 대중의 일상성의 문화로 자리매김 하고 있는 특징을 갖고 있다. 그러나 리얼리티 TV는 대량생산과 확산에 따른 다양한 사회문화적 현상을 야기하고, 비판적 견해도 따르고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 리얼리티 TV에 대한 재해석의 필요성이 요구됨을 인식하고, 이를 바탕으로 사회문화적으로 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

Influence of 3D Stereoscopic Video Running Time on Audience Perceptions (3D 영상 시청시간 요인이 수용자 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge about the influence of running time of 3D stereoscopic video on audience perceptions. This study compares the influence of running time between 20 minutes and 40 minutes of 3D stereoscopic music shows on audience perceptions such as perceived characteristics, impression, presence, entertainment, fatigue and unnatural looking images. After experiment with 40 samples, the present research found that when people watched shorter 3D stereoscopic music video, they perceived more 3D functionality, such as depth, image conveyance and message conveyance. The results also suggest that people who watched shorter 3D stereoscopic video felt more impression such as definiteness and freshness from the 3D images. Moreover, the result confirm that when watching shorter 3D images, people felt more a sense of presence. Findings of this study have important practical implications how running time is important to 3DTV viewers. Since the nature of this study is exploratory, more research about segmented running time and genre, etc. of 3D stereoscopic videos will be needed.

Study on the audience effect of advertisements of IoT products across different levels of sensory innovativeness (감각적 혁신성향에 따른 사물인터넷(IoT) 제품 광고의 수용자 효과에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to review whether there is a difference in the audience effect of advertisements of IoT products across different levels of sensory innovativeness. For the study, a total of 128 male and female university students and three advertisements of IoT products were selected. The study findings show that consumers with a higher tendency in purusing sensory innovativeness are more likely to rate more positively the perceived usefulness of the product and the attitude towards the product as shown in the advertisement. This finding is meaningful in that it was concluded from an empirical study at a time when studies on advertisements of IoT products are lacking. The study is also expected to provide beneficial insights into effective execution of advertisements of new technologies and establishment of marketing strategies. Follow-up studies that take into account a wider range of variables representing sensory innovativeness in consumers are suggested.

  • 본 연구에서는 실감공간에 대한 청소년의 반응을 바탕으로 향후 기술 개발 방향에 대한 조언을 하기 위하여 총 41명의 학생을 대상으로 소집단 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 시행하였다. 청소년들이 자주 사용하는 미디어의 종류와 이유, 미디어 사용에서 느끼는 불편한 점, 그들이 상상하는 미래형 미디어의 모습과 실감공간기술에 대한 반응을 묻고, 그 결과를 유형화하였다. 연구 결과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 참가자들은 자주 사용하는 미디어로 휴대폰과, 인터넷, MP3, 활자 매체 등을 꼽았다. 활자매체의 장점으로는 높은 몰입도를, 인터넷의 장점으로는 편리한 인터페이스, 핸드폰의 장점으로는 이동성이 제기되었다. 그러나 핸드폰과 관련하여 청소년들은 불편한 인터페이스, 작은 용량과 빨리 닳는 배터리를 단점으로 지적했고 뉴미디어 공통적으로 느린 속도, 미디어에 의존하게 되는 강박증적 증세, 사생활 침해의 문제와 대인관계유지에 있어서의 부작용, 높은 이용료 등의 문제가 제기되었다. 이들은 일상생활이 미디어 이용에 의해 방해받고 있으며 미디어 이용으로 인해 불필요한 '필요'가 생겨나고 있다고 지적했다. 미래형 미디어에 대한 바람은 기존 미디어의 단점이 보완, 개선되는 측면에서 제시되었다. 더욱 편리해진 인터페이스와 기존 뉴미디어의 장점이 접목되는 방향의 미디어 통합도 요청되었다. 그러나 실감공간기술에 대해서는 긍정적인 반응보다는 부정적인 반응을 수적으로 우세해 주목을 끌었다. 진화된 형태의 미디어에 대해 긍정적인 반응을 보일 것이라는 예상과는 달리 실감공간기술이 기존의 면 대 면 대인관계를 파괴할 것이며 사생활을 침해하고 건강에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 등의 거부감과 공포를 구체적으로 피력한 것이다. 이러한 두려움(fear)은 선행연구에 따르면 사람들이 새로운 매체에 대해 갖는 두려움과 이로부터 발생하는 두려움에 대한 대응은 혁명적 변화의 가능성을 억압하여 기존의 질서와 새로운 질서가 공존하는 기간을 늘림으로써 미시적 차원에서 단절적 역사의 경험을 완화시키는 기능을 하는 것으로 해석된다. 따라서 연구 결과 나타난 실감공간 기술에 대한 부정적인 반응도 이러한 맥락에서 해석될 수 있다. 즉 인터뷰 참가자들이 피력한 두려움은 뉴미디어 도입과 함께 반복되는 현상이며 이것은 새로운 현상이 아니다. 두려움은 기존 질서와 새로운 질서가 공존하는 기간을 연장시킴으로써 완충재로서 기능한다. 따라서 향후 기술 개발과 확산 과정에서 실감공간기술의 긍정적인 면모에 대한 적극적인 홍보가 필요하며 수용자들의 바람과 신기술에 대한 공포감을 이해하고 이를 기술 개발 방향 설정에 적극적으로 반영하는 자세가 요청된다고 하겠다.

'Reminiscence' emersed in creative industry in terms of Storytelling Significance and Application (문화콘텐츠에 나타난 '레미니상스(Reminiscence)'에 대한 스토리텔링 측면의 의미와 활용)

  • Beyond the mid-2010s, there has been increasing cases of using 'Reminiscence' as a trigger for recalling 'Past' in pre-production process of creative contents. In previous researches on this phenomenon, it has been recognized that retro, recall, compassion, and memory are similar. In order to look closely to grasp the psychological tendency of the contents user in detail, the study about 'Reminiscence' was conducted. The researcher analyzed 'Reminiscence' as a process of restructuration based on the experience and desire of the person individual which were derived from the past and further analyzed it as a lack of desire due to the time can never return. The study hopefully can make a balance against the cutting edge content distribution technology biased production tendency.

Oral health condition, recognition, and practice in prisoners (교도소 수용자의 구강건강관리실태와 구강건강인식 및 실천 조사)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the oral health condition, recognition, and practice in prisoners. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 143 prisoners in three jails from April 7 to June 2, 2014. The questionnaire consisted of 35 questions including 5 questions of general characteristics of the subjects, 4 questions of subjective oral health condition, 5 questions of management of oral health care, 11 questions of oral health recognition, and 10 questions of oral health practice. The questionnaire was adopted and modified by Shon et al. and Cho & Choi and measured by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.845 in recognition questions and Cronbach's alpha was 0.826 in the practice questions. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 for t-test, one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) and Pearson's correlation analysis. Results: 21.0% of prisoners answered that their perceived oral health condition was good. Those who received the dental treatment accounted for 42.0% and 12.6% of them took the oral health education. There was a significantly negative relationship between perceived oral health and oral health recognition(p<0.05). The oral health recognition showed positive influence on oral health practice(p<0.001). Conclusions: In general, prisoners did not receive the proper care of oral health in jails. Therefore, It is desirable that we need to set up a oral health care system for prisoners.
